I had a lovely time taking care of Bailey, Gizmo, Mr Tiggs, Cobi and Merlin. Bailey and Gizmo were great company and we had fun on our walks together. They were really good in the car which made it easy to take them on some interesting adventures. Patsy and Graham were wonderful hosts with a lovely home. They made sure that I was comfortable with everything before they left. I would highly recommend this house sit and look forward to being able to sit for them again.
The beautiful Phoebe was a delight to look after. I only did a short sit for 2 days so Martine and I agreed I would not let her off the lead but she is so driven by food that I suspect it would have been quite easy to get her back, especially if the treats were in a small metal tin for rattling. She was very well-behaved and responded to commands quite well. The garden and area around the house is large enough for her to be able to run around and she did enjoy playing games with treats outside. Martine and James were extremely welcoming and I went for a walk with Phoebe and Martine before they left. The house is lovely and the village quaint. There are many beautiful walks around including to the estate of Barrington Court a National Trust property. Ilminster is a short drive away and worth a visit. It also has all the shops you would need. A great sit I can highly recommend.
What a pleasure to meet Miss Lulu and her owner Karen. Communication was great before, during, and after the sit. Riggs, my dog, and I were warmly greeted, with a nice trip around town to know where everything was and then a nice dinner provided by Karen. The house was very comfortable and easy to manage. Mornings on the porch, drinking coffee and watching the sunrise and birds on the lake was a great start to our day. It is a charming, friendly, neighborhood to walk the dogs. Most everything you need is close by. During season the traffic is a lot. To be expected when you live where others vacation. Close to the beautiful beaches and lots of trails to ride and walk the dogs. Although Lulu was a senior dog she so enjoyed hanging and taking walks with Riggs. She likes her naps and her daily routine was a breeze. Riggs and Lulu quickly became friends. His company made it easier for Lulu. Karen was great with communication and easy to get in touch with while she was traveling out of the country. The beginnings of a long friendship. Riggs and I look forward to returning in the Fall.
My husband and I enjoyed Adja’s beautiful cats at her cozy and beautiful apartment, that is within walking distance of everything you ever need. Well felt right at home. The cats are well behaved and we were amazed and delighted how they get along together. They are very respectful of each other. We enjoyed so many cuddles. They are cats with baby kitty hearts. Adja was wonderful. She left simple written instructions and caring for her cats was very simple and enjoyable. We would be back again!
I had a wonderful week petsitting for Mel & Gilles. Communication was great beforehand and during. Both were very welcoming and I liked Mel and Gilles straight away. Their apartment was lovely, cosy and wonderful location. Little Polly is a gem. Such a lovely little girl and very easy going. So many great places to walk and explore and Polly and I had a fantastic time out and about together everyday. She is very cute and gets lots of attention. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful sit my last week in London. I would highly recommend and hope I can come back sometime. I got quite attached to Polly and was sad to leave her. Definitely a 5 star sit.
Freddy is a wonderful host, welcoming, communicative, and generous. His home is comfortable and cosy, in a very central, walkable location. His cutie Louis is just adorable, well behaved, playful, and such a comfort pal. I highly recommend this sit!
