We loved our little weekend with Humphrey, Krumpet and Jam. Humphrey and Krumpet are super affectionate, cuddling and easy to get along. I’ve rarely seen a dog and a cat get along so well! We weren’t there long enough for Jam to open up to us since he’s more distant, but we did feel him getting more confortable on the last day. The house is well located with lots of coffee and cool things to do around!
This is a very brief feedback, because the sit didn't go ahead as planned due to house owners falling unwell just before their anticipated trip. Nevertheless, we agreed not to cancel the sit and leave each other reviews, because we were both happy with the process until that point and will be looking to arrange a seat in the future, if our schedules align again. We had great communication with Judith from start to the end, promptly arranged a zoom call, Judith shared lots of information about dogs, Wallace and Ralph, the detailed house sitters guide was provided early for me to familiarise with and ask any additional questions, and plan B was discussed and put in place at early stages. Judith, I hope you both have recovered and look forward to hearing from you when you’re planning your future travels.
We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, fur baby, home and location! Anne and Jon were a delight to communicate and coordinate with and made our stay so enjoyable and were gracious in letting us also use their vehicle so we could run errands and explore the area. And their home is spacious and inviting with plenty of natural light and a luxurious pool, outdoor jacuzzi and garden yard to relax and unwind. Ricky was full of personality and had us well trained in short order. It is clear he runs the home and the hoomans are mere servants. We learned his routine and needs which included snuggle time in the mornings, a little taste of coconut oil and a short stroll around the enclosed yard to confirm all was in order. And each evening Ricky would allow us to join him in bed and watch a show as long as we provided on going scratches to the chin and belly. The town of Palm Springs has many wonderful restaurants and coffee shops as well attractions to visit, with short hikes in the nearby canyons. So much fun to explore! And the airport is just a short drive away on the edge of town. All around a 5 star sit from 5 star hosts! Thank you for having us!!!!!
I had a great time at Sofia’s and Richard’s. The apartment was clean, tidy and very luminous, with a beautiful view on the ocean. Pepe was absolutely adorable. He’s like a little ball of love, following me everywhere and very cuddly. He was very social and friendly, from the moment I entered the apartment. He does get a little bitey when he wants to play, but you can tell he’s not trying to harm, doing it very gently. He knows when it’s time to eat! Sofia and Richard were very easy to communicate with during my stay, and the welcome guide they shared was useful. I’d very gladly go back!
We can definitely recommend this sit! Siobhan and George gave us simple and clear introductions to their lovely home and communication was always easy! Stanley and Walter are such lovely and good heart dogs- two real sweethearts! They will be your best companions during long walks through the forest and at the lake. They love to play with their toys. In between the walks they will join you in the “home office” and take their time to relax and have a nap either next to you or on the bed. The location is in a lovely new building area surrounded by a big forest and little lakes. Supermarkets delivery online is possible. The home of Siobhan and George offers all you need!
