Diane
A highly recommended house sit, if you should have the opportunity! Diane was easy to communicate with, her home is very comfortable and well-maintained, and Oxford is very accessible. Louis is low maintenance and he's one of the sweetest cats I've ever met.

Skyla & Moose were so good to look after! They are both really affectionate and lovely!

I really enjoyed my time housesitting - communication was great, house was lovely and tidy, and just an overall great environment and area.

Sara
This was a very enjoyable and easy sit. Starting out, Sarah was very communicative and did a FaceTime intro meeting and walk-through of her lovely home. We stayed in touch throughout the sit over text message and she was very responsive, especially when I needed to administer some medicine to Spritz’s ears after noticing she had an infection.
The house is situated in a quiet and residential area that felt safe and is just a quick car ride (5-10min) to boutiques, cafés, shops, Whole Foods, gyms, etc. As you can see by their pictures, the backyard has a beautiful view of the mountains and you get gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Definitely make it a point to visit Lanikai beach to watch the sunrise and the Pillbox hike for a quick workout.
The dogs were absolutely adorable and very easy to care for. I brought down their dog beds and put one in my room and the other in the living area. Spritz slept with me in the room and Tank stayed in the living area. They know their routine well with food and treats and love to cuddle up with you on the floor for ear scratches and belly rubs. Spritz, even in her older years, engaged in tug of war and indoor fetch with one of her toys, which was so cute. We did that nightly and Tank just hung out and listened. Even though walking them wasn’t a requirement, I would take Spritz out every day (2-3 times weather dependent) to the Stop sign and back(@10min). She isn’t able to walk long but absolutely LOVED going out and sniffing the area and greeting her fellow neighborhood dogs. Tank refused walks due to his blindness but loved to meander in the back yard. He definitely bumps into everything but doesn’t seem to mind. He tries hard to hear noises or feel vibrations along the floor for footsteps and will bark sometimes to gauge if anyone is around. Both dogs let themselves out via the doggy door and poop cleanup is pretty easy. The house is clean, warm, and welcoming and super comfy. I loved the patio and appreciated having some workout equipment to use after eating so much delicious local food. There is a lot to do, so I would recommend renting a car. Waikiki is a quick drive and a nice change of scenery if you want to be in the city. I would definitely recommend this sit to others!

Sheina
Issi is the cutest dog and a little bit quirky and we loved looking after her. She formed a real attachment to Carolyn and "helped" her with her knitting. Kerry was very low maintenance and such a placid cat, and loved spending time in the garden where the natural kitty-litter exists 😁. We very much enjoyed our stay at Sheina's house and are so thankful she entrusted us to look after her pets. We also had a great time exploring Drouin and Mt Worth State Park nearby.

Mark
We had a wonderful time looking after Mouse for Mark & Paula. Their home is just south of Whistler Village and walking distance to Function Junction.

Mouse is such a lovely & relaxed cat! He was a bit shy at first but after a few hours we were buddies! Mouse is very expressive and has an expression for everything….more food please, scratch my chin, time for my wet food, can I go outside, I’m sleeping…leave me alone and of course more food please!! He slept on our bed every night and after a few days would curl up on our laps or nearby. He is a sweetheart!

Mark & Paula’s home was very comfortable & relaxing. There kitchen is well equipped and has everything you might need. We fell in love with their hot water dispenser & now will be buying our own. Their neighbourhood was peaceful, quiet and the neighbours were friendly & welcoming.

There home is close to the Valley trail which connects Whistler north to south and is great for walking, running or biking. At the end of their street is the Cheakamus River and the Cheakamus Riverside trail system, great for mountain biking and hiking. Their was heaps of rain & snow during our sit and the ski hills we yet to open so we headed to the Meadow Park Sports Centre for a swim & a workout most days.

This was our third sit in Whistler and we love it here. The trail network for mountain biking & hiking is outstanding. We have yet to sit in the winter months but know we would love it as well. As for food & drink we definitely have our favourites in Function Junction. We love the sweet & savory treats at Purebread Bakery, the pizza at Functional Pie is delish, the beer at Whistler Brewing Company and the coffee at Forecast Coffee. All these are an easy walk from Mark & Paula’s place!

We highly recommend this sit and would love to return. Mouse will steal a little piece of your heart and it was tough to say goodbye.

Jo
Jo, Sab and Donald are all warm and lovely. Donald is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He likes to snuggle right up to your face and requires hardly any winning over. Jo and Sab's flat is well-equipped and brilliantly located in Bath quiet yet close to everything. Bath is a great small city to visit, perfect for a few days' stay. Not only is the pristine Georgian architecture a sight to see but the lush green hills that surround it make it feel like a proper retreat. I enjoyed the 6-mile skyline walk and many cafes.
