Kendra & Jabari are top notch sitters. They were very communicative and sent sweet daily updates. Our home was clean and tidy when we returned. Our 3 cats were clearly well attended to and had everything they needed.
If you love cuddly dogs with cool personalities then you’ve come to the right sit. Loki will take any human affection you can give, and Spud will provide plenty of entertainment while he keeps himself busy. Horse the cat absolutely loves a face rub and head scratch once he gets to know you too. Very easy animals to look after. The house is modern, warm with all the conveniences in a good location to Upper Hutt or even to go over the hill to Wairarapa if you have transport. Would sit again.
We have completed dozens of sits, and this ranks at the top. Reasons: lovely host family, adorable cat, and beautiful home. Other things contributed to make it an exceptional sit: comfortable bed, dedicated worktop spaces in both office and kitchen, and comprehensive instructions on cat care, house care, and lawn care. The biggest advantage of sitting for Alex and Sanaz is their cat, Merlin. He is beautiful, adorable, playful, and loving. A bit shy and wary at first, which is to be expected, he warmed up and loved being stroked, especially on the top of his head and ears. There were inventive toys provided, even a tunnel where he could crawl in and pretend to be hiding, all the while reaching out for his dangling toys at the other end. We enjoyed him and we miss him. Thank you to the whole family for your warm welcome, thorough orientation, and generous attitude. We will remember this sit fondly always. Wayne and Deborah
What a wonderful sit! Mikki is an absolute delight - a very happy, easygoing little soul. I miss her already. The communication was excellent, Lizzy is kind and I felt I could ask her for anything. Her home is beautiful and serene. Can't recommend enough!
What a lovely three weeks spent with Bella in Simone’s inviting, comfortable home. Simone and I communicated by texts and phone calls several times before the sit began and I arrived the night before her departure so Bella and I could get to know each other a bit before her mom left town. Bella really is such sweet dog. She was a little shy with me at first, but warmed up quickly. She is patient and calm - although the prospect of an imminent walk or mealtime gets her a little excited, like all dogs! - and loving. In the evenings she would snuggle up as close as she could to me whilst I watched television or read. She really loves to have her back scratched and rubbed! She is never demanding and only barks when a stranger comes to the door or passes nearby (oh no! It’s the postman again!! ;- ). I communicated daily with Simone while she was away, sending daily updates and photos so she was able to fully enjoy her holiday knowing Bella was being looked after well. I became very fond of Bella and will miss her company. Simone is equally as lovely and very kind & friendly. I lost track of the time & still had some personal items to pack up when she returned home. She was absolutely fine with me returning the following day to finish up. I felt like I made two friends - one furry! - during my stay and, if the timing ever lines up again, would housesit for Simone again in a heartbeat.
I loved my sit with both… Rudy ‘McDoody’ and Puffin, while Katrina and Adam were away on vacation. The communication between them both was always on point, and they were very helpful throughout. Their home was very accommodating/nice, and I would highly recommend for future sits😊 Both dogs were especially sweet, and I’m missing them as of now🐶💖
