I had a great time with Lily's pups, Lucy and Chester. Lucy is a love bug who appreciates endless cuddles whereas Chester keeps a constant look out. Chester does bark quite frequently, so I always felt safe! Lily's home is spacious and has everything you need including workout equipment and the nicest backyard! The sunsets and hot tub were added bonuses. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this sit!
We had a fabulous time sitting for Dianne and Ian and looking after KoKo and Missy. We were given a very warm welcome by Dianne, Ian and KoKo on our arrival. We arrived the day before so as to get to know KoKo and his routine. Dianne & Ian cooked us a lovely meal and I feel we bonded with KoKo immediately. He is such a lovely, affectionate dog with a great sense of adventure. The house is very comfortable, we had a lovely sunny bedroom at the front of the house and our own bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. KoKo thoroughly enjoys his walks and apart from his two normal daily walks we took him out most afternoons with us too, walking along the paseo at Marbella and San Pedro, he also enjoyed a swim in the sea. Missy appears for meals twice a day, she is a semi-feral cat who doesn’t like to be touched but she’s friendly enough. All in all we had a fabulous time exploring the area and playing with KoKo and would definitely like to return again at some time in the future.
Amber is really generous and was great at communicating. We were able to come one night before the beginning of the sit, which was really convenient for us. She gave us access to her 2 fridges. We spent most of our time in the cottage, which was really cute and welcoming. Cookie is a hyper one but also really adorable and loves cuddles. We loved spending time on the couch with her. She doesn't do well with other pets so if you have a pet, you'll have to separate them at all time. The location: It's hard to go around when you don't have a car so keep this in mind. It can feel isolated. There's a bus stop 5 minutes away from the house and it takes 35 minutes from there to go to downtown San Jose. So 40 minutes total. There's only one Mexican grocery store 10 minutes away from the house if you want to buy veggies etc... It's really overpriced. The neighborhood is fine but beyond that it can be really sketchy so be prepared if you want to pet sit. We were told that we will be able to use bikes but they were old and not functional. It would have been easier to go around with bikes.
