We had a marvelous time sitting with Blintz for James and Francisco. We had a video conversation before our visit and then a detailed tour of the house and all our instructions the day before our sit. Communication was often and responsive during our stay.
Blintz is an absolute jewel, so loving and easy to spend time with for cuddling, playing, walking and travel as we took her with us on some adventure touring of the city and to the beach. She has a curious personality and wanted both Steve and I to accompany her whenever she left the house. She is great around other people and very friendly. We did actually get to see Challah for a short time.
The house is a feast for the eyes as there is alot of artwork throughout the house, which is situated in a great neighborhood of Civil War era homes. They are all so fun to look at and explore the differences if you like architecture. We enjoyed our walks and went different directions just to see the homes and sites.
Our hosts, Jim and Fransisco are very friendly and welcomed us to enjoy their home, adding insightful information about the city and events happening in the area.
It was very easy to become attached to Blintz and we would love to see her again in the future. We would gladly come back to DC to sit because of our great experience with both our hosts and Blintz.

Jo
Staying at Jo and her family's home was an absolutely lovely experience. From the moment I meant them, everyone made me feel welcome and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Even when on vacation, Jo was really available to answer questions.

The neighborhood was really peaceful with plenty of opportunities to walk in lush green spaces while still being close to things like grocery stores and restaurants and an Underground station and bus stops to get you into town.

Best of all, these lovely walks are accompanied by a really sweet and loving dog, Laila! She was very laidback and great company, and would often make me laugh. The two cats that live with Jo and her family are also full of personality, easy to care for, and easy to love.

I would definitely stay at Jo's again and hope others get the chance to!
