Lorena and I have just returned home after house and pet sitting for Julia and George, looking after their lovely dog Laika. We feel that we were very fortunate to have been offered this house sit in Julia and George’’s lovely and truly unique home which is quite local to our own home in Northumberland. From the very beginning, Julia and George made us feel extremely welcome, we arranged to meet prior to the start of the sit to become acquainted with Laika and we were treated to a lovely lunch and we very quickly felt at ease and knew we had made the right decision in applying. The accommodation provided to us was in a self-contained annexe but with full access to the ground floor rooms of the main house. We were extremely comfortable and we had everything we could have possibly needed for what proved to be a very comfortable stay. We really enjoyed using the solid fuel stove in the living area, this really is a fascinating property and it was lovely to sit by the fire in the evenings with Laika who was a great little companion and who was no trouble at all. Full and detailed instructions for looking after Laika, the property in general, and the surrounding area with it’s lovely walks were provided and communication with Julia and George before and during the house sit was excellent. Laika is a pleasure to look after and Lorena and I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her, it was not easy to say goodbye to her but that’s the downside of house sitting! We would thoroughly recommend house sitting for Julia, George and Laika to anyone, and without hesitation, if you are chosen you are fortunate indeed.
My partner and I had such a lovely time sitting for Michael and Caitlin in their cozy home. Michael was super helpful with getting us settled and making sure we had everything we needed. Dottie, Bucklee, Miles, and Scottie were so sweet, and easy to care for! All of the pets love to be cuddled and pet, especially Dottie! Dottie would take every chance to cuddle up with us on the chair and the bed, and was so so sweet and friendly. This was definitely one of my favorite sits and I am looking forward to coming back soon!
