Jen was an entirely reliable and trustworthy pet sitter, and a kind and compassionate young woman. We invited her to stay the night before our early morning departure, and enjoyed spending time with her and helping her to get to know the home and our two cats. Jen was flexible in terms of timing -- reporting for the house sit the night before it was to begin and also staying two days beyond what was initially expected (this possibility was discussed in advance) and we appreciated very much her flexibility in being able to stay on a couple of extra days. Our cats' needs were looked after very adequately, but it seemed as though there was not a lot of effort made to draw them out and to interact. Rather, Jen seems to be a free spirit who allowed our cats their space and their personalities, which is fine. As we might have anticipated, Jen was on the go quite a bit! We didn't share much communication during the 13 days we were away, just the minimum needed for practical issues, and we received photos only after our request. Bottom line: Although the kitties may have missed our level of personal attention with this sit, we house- and pet-owners certainly enjoyed our experience with Jen, and found her to be a delightful, responsible, well-organized individual, and we would readily have her back to look after things again.
Sitting for Julie's parrot Massi was pure joy! I'm completely enamored and so happy to have befriended this special African Grey. The house is lovely, conveniently located, and clean as a whistle. The family is loving, helpful and kind. Special thanks for the raspberries from their garden.
We had a good sit with Bacon and Eggs! They are two very sweet and loving French bulldogs who love snuggling, pets, and dinner time 😄 Michael gave us detailed care instructions, including that Eggs was on medication and that could cause accidents, so we were prepared for that part of the sit and they also provided pee pads as well. We found it was easier to walk Bacon and Eggs if one person held both leashes, instead of walking them separately where one might be ahead or behind one the other. They seemed to like being right next to each other on walks and that way they kept a similar pace cadence! This may not always be the case, but it worked for us and they seemed to enjoy it! They slept through the night wonderfully and love their naps. Michael’s home is spacious, comfortable, and located in the wonderful Lakeview neighborhood. Surrounded by tree-lined streets, great restaurants, and not far from Lake Michigan, you really can’t beat the location. Thanks again, Michael!

We had a lovely time in Jill and Graham’s home . We took Ozzy along with our 2 dogs on long walks every day (despite the very rainy weather) . There are lots of lovely trails to explore if you like walking and cycling . It was lovely to return back to the warm cosy house each day .Ozzy got on great with our 2 dogs and they all had such fun playing fetching ball , he was also fine travelling in our vehicle when we went shopping .
