It was a pleasure to stay at Sarah's house and hang out with Tiki. Tiki is very easy going and introverted. Mostly hangs out by herself aside from the occasional brushing or if you engage her for some pets after she gets to know you. Sarah is cool and responsive. Made me feel very welcome and relaxed in her large, centrally located home.
I did enjoy this sit in a comfortable family home in a quiet, leafy suburb. Ollie was very easy to look after and in fact, slept most of the time. Rachel and her family were so welcoming and left clear instructions and plenty of food for Ollie. The house is only ten minutes walk from the train station for a 35 minute ride into the city. There are also some lovely walks through nature reserves not very far away. I would happily look after Ollie again.
I enjoyed my stay with Luka very much, thank you Rob and Steve for the opportunity :) The lovely flat was well-equipped and fairly close to the bus station and all shops needed. Fluffy and adorable Luka is such nice companion to have a relaxing week in Rawtenstall, staying with him for WFH days and cosy evenings watching TV with his purr and playing with him. I would welcome the opportunity to sit him again, and it would be a more pleasant experience next time with clearer communication and expectation on house consumptions - a good learn on TrustedHousesitters.
Tiara was great to work with! She was easy to communicate with, always fairly quick with a response, and her instructions for the house, animals, and plants were clear! The dogs were lovely: Rhodes is a rambunctious little thing, super friendly, and incredibly playful! Calvin isn't big on loud noises or big movements near him or touching him without warning, but once he settles he's comfortable laying near you and he'll start playing more with Rhodes too!
I see it's all been said before by sitters for Pip and Tia but here goes as I feel I would love to comment on our stay. First, Susie and Steve were super people and had everything organized and so it was an easy sit to step into. We loved the location of the home, nestled into a hillside with lots of other beautiful homes that were all different and private due to mature growth of plantings. The home is filled with interesting art and is both elegant and welcoming. The front garden was beautiful and the back had a fabulous natural rock face stretching the entire back space and was planted with natural shrubs and strewn with yard art that could be viewed from the different house windows -- really fun. Deer ambled through and we had many birds to watch including hummingbirds that were fed by a backyard feeder outside the kitchen table. It was very walkable to Fairhaven, which is a sweet town with old charm character. We enjoyed discovering places to see and eat based on Susie and Steve's recommendations -- so helpful. The reason we were there --- Pip and Tia, they were such gorgeous cats and well behaved. They loved, especially Tia, playing with a toy that was a length of clear tubing with a stretchy cord that had feathers on the end and was weighted by two beads. I cannot tell you how much time both pusses, and I, spent with that toy -- and it was great exercise for them. We definitely got our entertainment from watching their intense catch and release. They are pretty fast at catching it no matter how you try to outfox them! We got very attached to Pip and Tia and miss them. We know others will too!

We picked Clyde up after leaving him with Silverwitch for a long weekend. Yet again he was looked after so well meaning we could relax and not worry whilst away. The staff are so lovely. We will definitely be back & highly recommend these kennels.
Our young golden retriever has stayed at Silverwitch a few times, for short and long stays. The staff have been very attentive to his needs as occasionally he’s needed medication administered and been on restricted exercise, all of his needs have been accommodated with no issues. He always goes in and comes out very happy. It’s lovely seeing photos of him having fun with his dog pals during his stays.
Our two Golden Retrievers are regular visitors to Silverwitch. They are very well looked after in a beautiful setting. The Silverwitch team are excellent.
Silverwitch is a five star location for anyone's family dog looking for a temporary home. A recent second stay at Silverwitch for our spaniel Ghillie was again very successful. The standard of the kennels are excellent and Laura's very caring team are there to keep order (as best they can when dealing with a couple of dozen visitors all barking at once).
We were very impressed by the care offered by Silverwitch for our 2 labs who had never been in kennels before and were very content and seemed to have a lovely time with lots of new friends! I would definitely use silverwitch again and would recommend

Laura and Greg looked after our 2 cats while we were away for 10 days, the updates with photos and videos meant we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday . We would definitely recommend Happy Paws and hope that they will be available to look after the cats when we book next year's holiday

Waggy Wanderers have been fabulous helping walk/entertain our big fella while myself and the wife are out at work all day. You'll get a serious amount of videograhy and photos of your prized fur ball out and about on his adventures with Laura and his wee doggy pals too which is brilliant to see (few high quality snaps attached for example). Great service 👏
Laura pet sat my house rabbit for a week and was absolutely amazing. It's always scary leaving your pet with someone new for the first time (especially when they're quite sensitive and not particularly fond of people like my boy is!) but Laura was very competent and kind, and really respected his individual needs. I could tell from the daily updates she sent that he was comfortable and being looked after very well, which was so reassuring whilst I was away. She was an absolute godsend and I wouldn't hesitate to have her pet sit for me again in the future.
Laura at Waggy Wanderers Pet Care is simply amazing with our fur baby. From day one she’s worked with us to meet our dogs needs and has helped with his training hugely. Laura takes time to get to know the dogs and really does cater for individual needs. She’s also super flexible and always try’s her best to meet our schedule. I couldn’t recommend Laura more!! Added bonus that Laura shares updates/photos of the walks with us via WhatsApp and Facebook which is so lovely to see. Our dog absolutely loves his time with his Laura!
We have 2 rescue dogs that can be very nervous on walks, and Laura is great with them and they love when they go on their walks with Laura. Laura has been very flexible when helping organise walks to fit the dogs with my shift work, She is very trustworthy and I would highly recommend Laura to anyone.

Laura has been, and is, a fantastic dog walker. She has been walking our dog since Lunan was just 12 weeks old (initially she did call-in puppy visits and then went from solo walks to integrating Lunan into group walks which are fantastic for socialising and tiring out our little one 😊). Laura communicates regularly with photos and videos to show how our dog got on that day/ week as well as checking in each week to ensure what services we need. Laura is incredibly flexible as she has changed days, times and even looked after Lunan in the evening time when events have arisen we have needed to attend. We landed so lucky with Laura and I cannot endorse her enough. She’s diligent, flexible and above all, a lover of dogs(and animals of all types): what else do you need from a dog walker?
Highly recommended. Friendly, professional service and the cats love her. Laura looked after our cats for a week, and we returned to two very chilled and happy cats, she even won over our male cat who can be very aloof with strangers! Laura sent us regular updates and even took care of watering the plants etc, we’ll definitely be using waggy wanderers again.

My dog Nala has been coming here for around 2 yrs due to her anxiety of being left alone at home from a few months old. Alan and the team are great with her and she seems to love the staff here to. Nala goes to daycare when we're working and whenever we're going on holiday, shes here for the week or two. I noticed a few negative reviews implying that the pets aren't getting fed as the owners have been handed the food back when picking up their pets. Alan supplies meals of wet, dry or raw depending on what your pet is on and this is included in the price. I cant recommend this place highly enough and I know Nala is well looked after.
After being rushed into hospital Alan & his team looked after my Bordeux " Boss " . I can't thank them enough to the point he made regular trips ether for dog day care & or walks as loved it that much. He would walk away from us never look back & jump into Alan's van , now that speaks volumes!!! Alan & his staff always went above and beyond like Boss was there own I will use no other kennel, full stop !! Recently had our cat Burrito stay for 10 days at Nivensknowe while we were on holiday and couldn't recommend it more. They offer pick up and drop off and were happy to update with any questions we had whilst away. The price is also very reasonable. the council took my cat there due to family problems, he was only there a week and the last visit I saw him FINISHED, They only have a stove that doesn't even heat the hut completely, they don't put a pittance of sand in it so they can relieve themselves.I don't know what they will put in his food but my cat has died and supposedly his kidneys were failing, he stopped walking, he couldn't not even stand up, he vomited a strong yellow liquid as if from poisoning, may he rest in peace Robin 🕊️🤍, the service there is terrible, no one ever serves you and when they do so without interest, there are dogs crying non-stop and it is incredibly cold to the place where they have them. I HOPE I listened to the reviews and didn't leave my cat there. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CREATURES THERE.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 i hope this place closes very soon ,if your animal has died here please contact me!
Left my dog for 3 nights. He got dropped of clean, happy and healthy. Also packed his food with him. When he got picked up he was covered in mud/dirt, all wet and stinky. Had to bath him as soon as he got home. Since he been home he haven't eaten his food and he haven't been his usual self. On top of that he been sick twice (definitely not a dog food he been fed there ) it's actually concerning how they are "looking after" the animals.
Brilliant place with super helpful staff and very flexible with requests and changes. Nothing is ever too much and it is clear they enjoy their work! And the dogs clearly love it as well.

Dogtastic are just the best 🤩 We have been using Dogtastic just under a year now after being recommended by a friend. The service Lyn and the team provide is just excellent. They pick up in the morning and drop back of in the evening with no issues. Always put posts up on Facebook of the dogs which is great and the facilities are just fab! Our dog Jock loves it 🐶 Lyn is always so helpful when we are unsure on things we ask and always get help 👍
Professional dog walking service we’ve used for 9 years. Lyn is extremely passionate about dogs which is reflected in her great team of walkers, the way the business is run and how her facility has grown over the years to what it is today. Her team are respectful of your house when they pick up and drop off and we trust them implicitly. The dogs have short pick up routes and the focus is actually on the walks and getting them to socialize rather than being hearded around Edinburgh for hours in the back of a vehicle. It’s genuinely great to have watched this company grow to where it is today with Lyn’s hard work, passion and drive.
Amazing doggie day care centre, Lyn & her team are devoted to dogs, taking them on a variety of walks. My dog loves going there & it's been perfect for his socialisation. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Bear our beautiful boy has been with Dogtastic for only 3 weeks and already he has become part of the Dogtastic family! Bear is excited to see Sam, Lyn and all his doggy friends and comes home ready for a nap after a fantastic fun filled day! This was the first, but certainly not the last time we used Purrfect Paws to look after our boy. Sharon was prompt with communication and her “meet and greet” visit. The setting up of a WhatsApp group enabled Sharon and Carly to send daily updates and photos. This also showed us what a great time Loki had with his “Aunties” (especially the bag of treats and tricks!). He was well looked after and that’s what you want from a great pet sitting service. These girls are amazing! So highly recommended. Both carly and Sharon managed to get my boys to play with toys and be so loving to them when they normally don't. Our wee gizmo is such a timid boy and by the end of the first week he was up giving the girls love which was so reassuring to both me and my partner. 1000/10 recommend for your fur-babies🥰
I was so nervous about leaving my cat for the first time but Sharon and her team were fab! They arranged a home visit for me to meet them and feel comfortable and of course for the cat to met them too. The team kept in constant contact with me on the run up to them looking after the cat and during too with lots of pictures and updates making sure I knew my cat had her medicine etc! They really made me feel at ease about leaving. I would highly recommend Sharon and her team, your animal is very well loved in the care of her ❤️

Purrfect Paws recently looked after my 3 cats when I was away for 10 days. Sharon and her Team were wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. By the end of the time I was completely confident that all the people who were looking out for my cats knew them all very well. My cats were so cared for, played with and petted and fed well which is saying something as 2 of my guys have complex feeding requirements and dodgy appetites. Our cat is very nervous around new people, but Sharon was very patient and understanding - we couldn’t have asked for more. This was our first time using a service like this but would definitely recommend. I especially loved the daily photos, a lovely touch!
I recently used Purrfect Paws Midlothian for my two cats. I have to say, from the moment I contacted Sharon, she was so professional and very helpful. Cherie came to meet us and our cats and discussed all the details. It definitely took all the stress and worry away as I just knew they were going to get well looked after. While we were away it was lovely to receive daily updates and pictures when Cherie visited. The cats were happy when we returned. We will definitely be using this service again and again.
I highly recommend Sharon and her team. Sharon looked after our cat, Jasmine, wonderfully; spending quality time with her each day and sending me updates after each visit, which allowed us to enjoy our time away without worry. Sharon has an excellent way with cats; Jasmine is usually very timid and nervous around other people but she took really well to Sharon. I will definitely be using Purrfect Paws whenever we go away.
What a great first experience using Purrfect Paws to look after our boy Socks while we were on holiday. We were updated daily with pictures of him having loads of fun with the ladies! He has been looked after so well and Heather, Holly and Sharon went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and sound. Been using the Dog House for nearly 30 years. All 5 of our dogs have been expertly groomed every time no problems as long as you stipulate how you want it done beforehand. Excellent staff and decent prices. Would highly recommend.

I always go to Candidacasa when I go on holidays, I collected my 2 dogs today (Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel) and they were in great form after just being groomed. I think the price is fair and I'm always happy knowing they are being looked after well
Our extremely energetic Doberman loves visiting the kennel, loves staying over and he has a lot of playtime, so much so that he is tired and want to sleep at 6pm. Will recommend to anyone who needs to go somewhere and needs a dog loving family to watch over there furry child. 5star without a doubt. Love you all.
Staff at Candidacasa are fantastic! My dog goes to day boarding or overnights depending on my shifts at work and they are always accommodating and my dog loves it there. I have been taking my dog there for almost 5 years and I have never had an issue. Could not recommend more!
Our 3 year old boy, James, has just returned home after spending almost one month at Candidacasa. As usual he thoroughly enjoyed his holiday and he has been looked after so well! He is in fantastic condition physically and mentally. We cannot recommend Candida highly enough. Huge thanks to Jenny for her fantastic work!!
We had left our 3 huskys and 1 great dane with candidacasa kennels for 11 days and would definitely book them in here again. They have had a great time down there while we were on holiday. Staff are lovely and very helpful, friendly. Dogs have came back smelling lovely and looking very clean. Will definitely be using their service again and highly recommend the company to friends and family.
Have boarded our wee dog in here, a couple of times, and can truthfully say, she loves it. They take such good care of the dogs, she gets plenty of walks and stimulation, but most importantly, she gets lots of attention n hugs. Wont go anywhere else x
Have just collected my 20-month sprocker after her 10-day stay. She's looking great and is her normal 'exuberant' self. This is the first time that I have used Candida Casa Boarding Kennels (recommended by local vets.) Thank you for looking after her so well. Will see you again (hopefully,if you have space for her) the next time I come North (from Suffolk) to visit family.
I have used Candidacasa twice now for my 2 dogs. The staff are very professional and approachable. Both my dogs love it there, they always come out smelling lovely and always look happy and well fed. The place is spotless and dogs are well looked after. I have made advance bookings for them. Glad I found this place, I know I can trust that my babies are well looked after. My dog went here for 4 nights and was like a different Dog when I arrived for him , he was scared withdrawn and definitely not happy or comfortable. He was kept in a grubby cage outside for 4 days not a bit off exercise and a very unhappy chap . I called day 2 to be told he was doing great and had cuddles from staff , then on pick up day to be told he was not great and was gruelling at staff no one had been near him the whole stay !!! ( this would be completely out off character as he is so happy and friendly all the time .) The lady could no answer why I had been lied too .. Then owner called when I arrived home asking to talk .. I was fuming my dog had not been look after he was a nervous wreck when he came home peeing and edgy in house for a couple days . The owner was not happy I had been told the truth and continued not make up more rubbish .,it’s the fact they lied when I called as I had arrangements for himto be picked up if this was the case This place is not a safe place for your pets .
Amazing kennels this is our first time using them and our 3 fur babies were so well looked after for a week due to a wedding abroad. The kennels are spacious and clean and our dogs were happy and healthy on collection. Thanks so much for putting our minds at rest and taking wonderful care of our dogs.
My two cockers love going to Gordon & Laura's kennels. He's been looking after them since they were 6mths old and they're now 5. Never any problems getting them fitted in. Whether for a day visit or two weeks. They get picked up and dropped off, all at a convenient time. He supplies the food we feed and they're walked often. Lovely clean, heated kennels. Thanks guys
I have now used Station View on three occasions and would have no hesitation in recommending the services. Our rescue dog is very wary by nature but Gordon clearly knows dogs and has a calm and reassuring manner. I can't honestly say Elmo loves going to stay at kennels, but I'm confident when he is there, he is in caring and safe hands.
First time using kennels for our dog Callie who stayed with Gordon for 11 days and from booking we felt she would be in safe hands. Kennels are very well appointed and clean. When we picked her up it was clear she was happy and in good hands as she had eyes for Gordon and his team only. Awful for us but great for Callie, thanks to outstanding care. Callie cried on the way home but settled into her home easily. Thank you Gordon for all you and your team have done to look after our precious girl.
Our Dog Henry was at Station View Kennels for a week whilst we were on holiday. Would 100% recommend Gordon and the team. Went to collect our dogs x2 dogs were smelling badly when came out of kennels , definitely to small for 2 large dogs , I know you will get a kennel smell but not like this was really bad , it’s like our dogs were kept in a lot of the times it’s unfortunate that you can’t see what goes on behind closed doors especially when your away , don’t think we will be back .
I am honestly struggling to put into words how highly I would rate Station View Kennels. We had a booking for 5 dogs for 16 nights whilst we were away on holiday, this was the first time we left our dogs but I can honestly say we will never use another kennels for our dogs. They were so well taken care of from the minute they were dropped off, and when we picked them up - they were so happy and ran back into the kennels! You can tell Gordon knows his stuff about dogs and really, truly cares about them. Unfortunately one of our dogs, Brodie, fell unwell whilst we were away and suffered a seizure which has never happened before. Gordon constantly kept us up to date about how he was recovering, as well as discussed the vet visit with us. Anyone who has left their dogs in kennels will know your biggest fear is when they fall unwell, unfortunately this happened with us but I honestly cannot praise and thank Gordon enough with how well he handled the situation. Truly the best care for our dogs & we will absolutely be booking again.

Absolutely first rate kennels, run by the friendliest person you’re ever likely to meet. We were staying in the area on holiday and as our two dogs are getting quite elderly we didn’t want to drag them around with us. Recommended by the campsite, we called Gordon and we’re lucky enough that he had some space. Quite simply a man who loves his job, and is infectiously cheerful, Gordon is a wonderful kennel owner. Our two dogs were glad to go back on the second day and Gordon was clearly very pleased to see them. We would not hesitate to recommend Station View Kennels or Gordon.
