We recently completed a housesit for Jade and Geremy and a petsit for their two adorable fur babies, Zoey and Jackson. The 2 dogs were so well behaved, and were the best and sweetest snugglers! (I guarantee, you will fall in love with Zoey and Jax!) Feeding was simple, they both are very ready to eat! And they love to go for walks! There is a gated courtyard for the quick business, but they are also located very close to the river walk, which we found was great exercise for the pups to do in the mornings. Jade and Geremy did a great job with instructions on everything related to the home and the dogs. We also kept in very close contact via text and if we had any questions, they were very quick to respond. Jade's sister and brother in law also live very close in case we needed any other assistance. Funny thing, we actually met them during one of our dog walks because the dogs knew them and were happy to introduce us! (They were super nice, and we could tell their very nice personalities run in the family!) The home is very comfortable, well equipped, and well cared for. There is high speed internet and lots of smart devices. The neighborhood is located very close to the Pearl District with lots of restaurants, breweries, and shopping. We walked most days, but also utilized the public transportation system to venture out a bit, including a couple trips to Washington Park. All in all, we had a great experience with this house sit. If we are ever back in Portland, you can be sure we will be stopping by to say hi, and to get some snuggles from the fur babies!
Ira and Darcy have a very lovely home in an interesting neighborhood. Chloe is their 16 month old Belgian Shepard. She is a very sweet dog that very much loves to run. Ira went out of his way to make the house sit easy for me, he even gave me use of their car. Ira and Darcy also had someone come take Chloe on hikes twice a week, so I was able to explore Portland, OR. They also had a house keeper that came on Mondays and someone to run the dog on Wednesday. Everything Ira and Darcy did made it a very easy pleasurable house sit. They are wonderful people, with a sweet heart of a dog.
There is so much to write about my sit so I will try to summarize it:) Christine and Steve... They are an amazing couple with great hearts! Fasten your seatbelt when you are with them as you would be spoiled with everything they do for you! I am 10.000 km far from my country but thanks to Christine and Steve, I feel like I have a family in Canada to support me when I am discouraged or I need help. I will not give more clue but if you are lucky enough, you would meet them one day:)(OK, one clue, yummy dishes:)) As for Bailey, she is a sweetheart! She loves being spoiled by scratches and cuddles! She sits in front of you with a waggly tail and may sit there as long as you want to spoil her:) She gets very excited for a walk or when you are on a beach. As she is very adorable, everbody wants to pet her while walking:) She barks when she is nervous to protect her human or to herself, yet calms down easily when you talk to her. In short, my time with Christine, Steve and Bailey was wonderful and I`d definitely recommend to meet them and stay in their tastefully decorated house. Thank you very much for everything you did for me, cheers!
We had lovely Christmas in Martley caring for Bilbo, Olive and Lucky. Milla's communication before and during the sit was great. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and she had very kindly left us some festive goodies. The home is clean, comfortable and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with everything I needed to cook Christmas dinner. It is part of a small gated community with friendly helpful neighbours. There are dog walking routes direct from the back of the estate, including a route to the village. The surrounding area has some beautiful countryside that we would love to explore further once it has dried out a little! Bilbo is a very friendly Border terrier and a joy to walk. He is great with people and calm around other dogs, even when they are not. He loves a cuddle on the sofa. Olive is a friendly and quite chilled cat who really loves her food. Lucky prefers to stay in the garage or visit the neighbours as he is nervous of Bilbo and hasn't learnt to stand his ground like Olive. He was happy and relaxed around us, especially once he knew we were providing his food! We would recommend this sit and would happily return to sit for Bilbo, Olive and Lucky another time.
We had an amazing time at Cathy & Larry’s place. They are amazing hosts, very welcoming and make you feel right at home! We couldn’t have asked for a better first housesit! Earl is a super easy cat he likes to keep to himself most of the time but can be super affectionate at times as well (mainly at treat time haha) overall we had an amazing stay and the area is super cool as well!
Had a great time with Cas and Squirrel this summer in Vegas! Cas and Squirrel were the sweetest and want to be everywhere that you are. Cas gets worn out on walks pretty fast hit Squirrel would walk the whole strip if she could! Danielle’s home had everything I could’ve asked for and in a great location about 15 mins away from the strip. Also a short drive to the gym (planet fitness), the movie theater, Barnes & Noble, Whole Foods, Walmart and plenty of shopping! Danielle’s neighbors were super friendly and to my surprise I had the pool to myself most of the times. I enjoyed sunset swims in the scorching heat! Was so excited to get to see some Vegas shows and performances during my stay. Really appreciated Danielle’s Alexa powered home! No one likes getting out of bed to turn the lights off! Her home office was a great space for a digital nomad and her Serta office chair was more comfy than the chair cushions at Starbucks (also nearby). So happy that I could help Danielle out with her fur babies while she traveled this summer. Definitely a memorable experience!
