Nichole and Todd were welcoming and communicative and we (my husband and I) loved staying in their beautiful Ridgeway home. The best part about this sit was that Ross, the cat, is an absolute sweetheart. He's an expert biscuit maker and flopper, and he let us pet his tummy post-flop. Ross is a low maintenance kitty who didn't demand much of us, though he did give us nice snuggles and he is an older gentleman who might have some needs as he ages. The house is on a hill overlooking the valley that contains Ridgeway and the views to the south toward Ouray, and west toward Telluride, were to die for. Nichole and Todd were great and I would absolutely recommend this sit.
Heike was prompt, accurate and clear in her communication regarding the house sit. She made us feel welcome in her home and kindly shared dinner with us. Our room upstairs was clean and tidy, we even received some nice chocolates. The whole house is neat and clean, the garden is beautiful and easy to look after. It was a very enjoyable house sit with everything available to make our stay perfect. Tiger is a loveable cuddly cat. We would warmly recommend to take the opportunity of looking after Heike's home, garden and Tiger.
Jenny’s dogs were the best company we’ve had in our house sitting career. They are pretty easy to manage and not too much work even though there are 5 of them. We had really good communication with Jenny, she was very generous and thoughtful. For example she bought food in for us and drove us to the local shop when we got there. The local area is residential, with regular buses to Waterlooville and into Portsmouth. There is a nice local pub where you can take dogs and the food is quite reasonably priced. Thank you Jenny for being a great host! We hope we will be back again.
Andy and Lisa made me feel very welcome in their home. The month in Maine was a wonderful escape and provided a peaceful atmosphere. Their elderly dog, Mickey, is a love. Caring for him requires patience, since he likes to go out frequently throughout the day but also early mornings and sometimes late into the night. Due to his arthritis, long walks aren’t possible, but he does enjoy about a mile of exploring, whether around the perimeter of the house, at Acadia, Lamoine Beach, or the Railroad Trail.
It was fantastic to sit for Ellie and look after her gorgeous kitties Seb and Stanley! Ellie communicated everything to me well ensured I was comfortable and up to speed on all relevant information. She was easily contactable, very polite and kind. Seb and Stanley are full of their own personalities, they loved playing with us in the evenings and with each other throughout the stay. The house is very well located, being a short distance to the motorway and a short walk away from a tram which took you into the city centre in no time! I was sad to leave!
This is another of our best house sits. House sitting for Martin was a pleasure. Right from the first conversation Martin had clear communication and was very polite and kind. Once we arrived at his home he explained everything about his home and his beautiful animal clearly and easy to understand. His dog Hobbs had such a pleasant, sweet and loving personality. Swift was a very chatty and we had fun watching him and talking to him. His love bird were very nice and it was fun to watch what they did. Taking care of Martins home and animals was a real pleasure. We would highly recommend anyone to sit Martin’s home and look after his pets. If me and my daughters ever could come back and house sit for Martin we all would love to.
