Lisa
Lisa and Jay were wonderful hosts not only were they nice and welcoming they left us a sweet treat that was a very thoughtful bonus. We’ve sat for them 3 times before we joined trusted house sitters annd 1 time since we joined. This is the best sit super easy and we have never been disappointed. Their house is so nice, clean organized lots of space and really sweet dogs. We are huge dog lovers and we have fell in love with Huk and Luna. Luna is a sweet gentle giant and just lays around all day. Huk is the sweetest Lisa and Jay explained that when new people come to the door Huk greats you with a hug and smells your breath it’s the cutest thing. They trained Huk to give hugs and it’s really the sweetest thing. Huk loves you and will follow you around and gives hugs through the day he also lays around. The dogs don’t need to be walked they go in the backyard. They love attention if you want to give it to them. You must be a dog lover like us to understand these sweet babies. I highly recommend this sit. We’d love to sit for them anytime that we are in the area. 5 stars. Thank you Lisa and Jay.

Eileen
Eileen's place is a special spot on the map inhabited by three power cuddlers. Eileen was responsive and communicative, and made sure that house needs were stocked up before she left.
Plenty of space inside and out. I spent the magical month of May watching the trillium and poppies go wild, along with every other piece of PNW flora in the many gardens and beyond. Highly recommended stay if you have the opportunity.

Bailey is one of the nicest dogs I’ve ever sat for, super friendly, affectionate, a total love. Theo the cat is a real sweetie, too. The flat has panoramic views of the city and is at tree top level. It was so cool to watch the birds’ antics. Melanie is a generous host. I got Covid while we were sitting and she was not at all fussed, told me not to worry about it, and was cool with our exit plans (aired house, disinfected surfaces and door handles…) She also made us a tiny Thanksgiving feast when we arrived. She’s an amazing cook. 💕

Gayle
A lovely house with all amenities, Gayle and William made me feel very welcome as did their 3 furries. Very easy to communicate with and made sure that I had anything that was needed. Port Macquarie is a lovely spot with natural bush directly behind their property with koalas (if you can spot them!), beaches and whale watching nearby. All services close, great fish and chips down the road. Their babies are very affectionate and no trouble to care for. Loved my time there.

Tim & Caroline
Everyone who loves beautiful dogs would be very happy sitting at Caroline and Tim’s house, for Monty and Ted. They are both affectionate but independent dogs who are easy to spend time with. They tell you what they need if you forget (eg lunchtime Bonio), and they respond to what you want and need easily too. Monty loves to talk to you, and will give you full reports on the transgressions of the surrounding sheep. Ted is passionate about chewing sticks and bones and will bring them to you so you can share and nibble them too. (I never did personally, but the opportunity is available). Caroline and Tim were nice too, but didn’t shine when compared to these fabulous dogs. There are some real and pleasant surprises about this sit, that I will not spoil for you. The water at the property is one of them.

Staying at this house was amazing...which is why once wasn't enough! I am returning soon to stay with the fantastic Phantom and Darwin, the great big cat. Phantom and Darwin have really fun personalities and are a lot of fun to hang out with. This home is also located on top of a hill overlooking the Mad River Valley. There is hiking and XC skiing for miles right off the property. It's just incredible to be there. The homeowners are very welcoming and responsive to any issues that may arise during your stay. A very solid place to be do housesitting and petsitting!
