We had the most wonderful time looking after and spending time with Pillo and Kali while Lee was away. His place was very spacious and clean, the surrounding Oaxacan countryside picturesque, and communication with Lee seamless. The dogs were super lovable and happy to either come along with us on daily hikes or chill on the couch with us. It was hard to say goodbye to our new canine friends, and we would return in a heartbeat!
Their house is in a beautiful rural setting with lush landscaping. Kanko is a playful and sweet dog, and I'm missing his cuddles already. Jack and Laura were great to work with, easy going, and very responsive to questions.
I only have amazing compliments and say thank you for everything. Lacey and Christopher are so sweet and friendly, the house is amazing with a very great location, also it’s cozy, comfortable and clean. And we just fell in love with the cutest dogs ever. They’re so friendly and respectful, and playfull. I would definitely recommend they’re home to stay. You won’t regret.
We had a very nice stay at Sandra's. Her home is very clean and comfortable, and the guest bedroom was lovely. Sandra welcomed us with some snacks and other goodies, which we really appreciated. The responsibilities around the house were simple and straightforward. Dillon was a very sweet dog. We were surprised at how playful and energetic he was for a somewhat older dog. He was always eager to play or have our attention. It was also very difficult to forget any of the dog-related chores, since Dillon would remind you exactly when it was dinner time, or when it was time for his walk. He had a near-perfect internal clock. When the time came, he would come sit by you, and patiently wait. He was a lot of fun to play with, and very easy to take care of. Sassy was also very pleasant. The first day she mostly stayed under the beds, but after we pet her a few times, she warmed up and started to seek us out. She's very happy to get attention and just be around you. We enjoyed walking to the Harrogate town center while we were here, as well as to Knaresborough, both of which were reasonable close on foot. It's also very close to a supermarket, which was very convenient. We recommend Sandra's fully, and would be happy to come back again in future.
Sara and Justin are great hosts and made us feel right at home. We arrived the day before their trip and spent an evening chatting; with their careers and personal travels I'm sure their stories could fill many books. Denali, Kona, and Pima are all so sweet and each have a very unique personality. While Denali has a limp around the house from hip pain (medication is super easy - just add to her bowl at meals), you'd hardly know it when she's out for walks with how happy she gets. Kona seems content with literally doing anything, from trying to keep up with Pima's energy to snuggling up with on the sofa and anything in between. Pima has unlimited energy and always wants attention but is rarely pushy about it - unless you're giving it to Kona. If you like trail running, you will absolutely love going out with Kona! Their house is a couple blocks from a fantastic wooded trail system. I almost never let dogs that I'm sitting off-leash, but Kona is the exception (once we're on the trails) with how well she listens (she has a shock/beeper collar I put on just in case but never had to use it). Good luck tiring her out. Their house makes for a fun getaway. It has a private-feeling guest bedroom and full bathroom, a spacious open-concept kitchen and living with great views of the mountain, and a hottub in the backyard. I'd definitely recommend sitting For Sara and Justin!
