This was our second time having Sherrie watch our dog and house. She was awesome again - would definitely recommend!!
We had a lovely stay at Fritha & Steve’s home taking care of Minnie. We arrived in London a few days prior to our sit, so that we could meet with our new hosts, and get to know Minnie. Fritha invited us over and we chatted over a cup of tea and a very delicious banana bread made by Fritha! (I need to get the recipe from her) LOL...😊 Fritha’s home was spotless, nice, and cozy, and Marcelo & I felt so fortunate to be taking care of little Minnie. We found Minnie to be the sweetest little doggie, very affectionate, and funny. Every time we would go out for walks, Minnie loved to encounter little doggies like herself and, whenever she did, she would almost cry out of joy. Minnie is very fond of people and children, they just melt her heart and she, in turn, melts theirs too! Especially she melts the kids’ hearts, and children love to cuddle and pet her. At times, while walking, Minnie has a habit of suddenly stopping and not wanting to go on for a few seconds... What we would then do, Marcelo would bend over and talk to her, then she would go on with the stroll. I, on the other hand, would take a small ball and I would throw it a little bit ahead of us, that would catch Minnie’s attention and she would right away resume her walk-in order to get the ball. To tell the truth, we did not find this issue to be a big deal, it was just a part of her personality! On our daily walks with Minnie, we were able to get to know the surroundings of Streatham Hill. We loved going to the beautiful big parks only a few blocks away from the home, as well as walking to Balham with Minnie, where there is a big supermarket, nice restaurants, pubs and several stores and boutiques. Just a few minutes from the home, there are lots of buses that will get you to many parts of London. We did a tour of the Wimbledon Stadium which was amazing. We also visited some great museums and just strolled around Covent Garden which ended up being our favorite area. And, if you like Italian ice cream, don’t forget to stop by “Anita London, La Mamma del Gelato”, when you do, you will know why we said it. We appreciate the trust that Fritha and Steve deposited in us regarding their home and Minnie. From the time they were gone on vacation, their home felt like our home, and their pet felt like she was ours, even if for a short period of time! For all of the above, and much more, which would be too long to tell, we highly recommend this “five stars” sit to anyone going to London and, if our plans permit, we would love to come back again in the future.
We have just returned from a wonderful few days in Surrey caring for lovely well apointed house and very handsome freindly dog who was such a pleasure to walk Kate was so well organised and extremely welcoming We would highly reccomend this sit Gaye and Tony
I absolutely adored staying at Rhona's home and caring for Stella, Puss-Puss and Maxi! Not only are these the most sweet animals, they are easy to manage as a solo sitter. Rhona invited me to have dinner before she left, and even made me breakfast multiple times. We had some great chats together and she made sure I had everything I needed in the house (the guest room is so, so comfy!). Rhona makes it easy to connect together with her good convos, easy-going-ness, and trust, which I appreciated. Stella is extremely calm, and loves being loved. I miss her already. When I walked with her sometimes she would sit and not want to move, but with patience & tenderness she got up again and kept going. You might be surprised at HOW relaxed Stella is, but don't be alarmed... just soak it in with lots of pets on the couch! The kitty cats warmed up to me fast and often I would wake up to them meowing or one of them on my bed sleeping :) So cute! Feeding/cleaning schedule was easy to do and became second nature right away. Yes, I would totally pet-sit here again!! Thanks Rhona and the critters <3
What a fantastic sit !! We were welcomed on arrival, introduced to the animals, shown around and explained feeding times etc. Communication was great throughout our stay and we felt appreciated. Mohawk: A gorgeous cat. After breakfast would go outside and wouldn't return until dinner time where he stayed in for the night, often in the lounge by the fire. Happy for cuddles but also liked to do own thing. Cactus & Phoenix: Sweet young pups. A bundle of fun. Each with their own special character. 'C' likes to be around you and see what you are doing. 'P' likes cuddles on the sofa and to sleep in the suns rays or with a blanket over him. Both very playful and great with recall. Chickens: No trouble at all. We were really lucky to have daily fresh eggs for our breakfast. The area was so peaceful, we both said how we felt like we were on a retreat. Loved walking around the grounds and seeing the different varieties of birds around. Would definitely recommend this sit and we hope to return again :-)
We felt very welcoming with this housesit taking care of Indie. She is very lovable, and it didn't took much time before she felt comfortable with us :) Indie is indepedent and does her own thing. Solid communication before and during the sit. We didn't had to ask much. But when we did Gaby responded quickly :) We've had alot of fun in the area. It''s very alive and vibrant. Lot's of shops, restaurants and café's. We were never bored here!
We loved the time spent looking after Jean-Pierre and Maggies home. Jessy and Isa are amazing loveable dogs and we enjoyed our time with them every minute. We got to spend some time getting to know Jean-Pierre and Maggie and they are lovely and kind hearted people, I would highly recommend their house sit opportunity.
