Louise and Hans are without doubt the nicest home owners we have met in our ten years of housesitting, generously inviting us for a meal the day before they left and ensuring we had food to keep us going. They made sure we had all the information we needed and were always available for contact while they were away. We would love to return and for other sitters if you get the chance to go, take it, you won’t be sorry. Their home is in a small and beautiful village in the middle of gorgeous, open country with walks right from the house. Edith, the greyhound is just the gentlest, easy dog ever and Harold the cat no trouble at all. The chickens are great to watch and the eggs they give you lovely. We’ve never seen so many wild birds in the garden and it’s fascinating to see them establish their pecking order on the feeders. Add to that a beautiful garden it’s obvious this is a sit anyone would enjoy, definitely recommend.
Sitting for Sophie and her family was an absolute treat. Sophie, Bill and their children immediately made us feel at home and it wasn’t long before we fell head over heels for Frank the Corgi, their pet hamster Gingernut and the chickens. Sophie’s home is bright, airy and welcoming. Situated in a gorgeous part of Surrey, less than an hour from London, there are lovely walks through woodlands and into the nearest village Ewhurst. Frank is a very sweet old boy who is forever optimistic about the potential of a treat and is content to snooze at your feet or to have a pat. He’s got a very easy schedule to follow and taking care of his needs wasn’t an issue in the slightest. Gingernut the hamster was adorable and happy to be handled, and the chickens gave us delicious fresh eggs every day. This was a five-star sit that we’d highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience life in the English countryside with a bunch of adorable critters to keep you company.

I had a very comfortable and relaxed two-week stay in Traci’s home. The neighborhood is safe and quiet while still close to all the action near the national mall and beyond. Traci is a top-notch host, and her upstairs neighbors were super friendly and welcoming as well. I had everything I needed throughout my stay but could easily reach out to Traci with any questions or concerns at any time, which I greatly appreciated. As for the pets, I happen to be completely smitten with Daisy and Norman. Both are senior pets and total sweethearts in their own ways. They are relatively low maintenance and easy going in terms of care, which makes getting work done uninterrupted or leaving for a couple hours to go exploring a breeze. I already miss having Daisy as my couch companion while I work and hanging with her outside every day. I would absolutely stay here again any time.
Ramey and Todd are great hosts. The home is beyond beautiful and Acis + Galatea were such sweeties. It is such a gift to stay there and I would come back anytime
