What a lovely week with Lola! The sweetest, smart, well behaved dog who was great company on walks, at home and at the ‘local’. Adrian and Caroline were easy and responsive communicators and have a lovely home and garden directly opposite a large park with an outlook to London city at the front and a pretty and productive garden to enjoy at the back. Close to transport to all areas of London and a walk to shops and cafes this was a very enjoyable housesit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eileen's place in Ventouse. Eileen made us feel immediately welcome with her warm hospitality. On the first night we shared a lovely meal that she had cooked for us, and she showed us around and made sure we knew everything we needed before her departure. She is very easy to communicate with, was always fast to answer and very helpful with any questions we might have had before or during our stay. She prepared the Welcome Guide for us in advance and left lots of valuable information about how to care for the cats as well as tips about how to enjoy ourselves in the area. The cats were great to hang out with, and they all have very lovable personalities, from Cool Charlie who is sociable and cuddly, to Shy Sally who warmed to us and absolutely loves a good cuddle with scratching on the head, to The Inseparable Amber and Omar who loves to do everything together, and last but not least Mimi the neighbors cat who have decided to be part of the gang. Leaving Ventouse we have a lot of great memories and we left with the feeling that not only did we have a great sit - but we also made dear friends with both cats and their humans! We hope to come back and meet all of them again soon.
We spent a lovely Christmas and New Year’s with Peanut and Jerry in Zagreb! Now to the important bit – the kitties! Erin and Tim are amazing parents. They’ve trained the boys not to claw you, even when they’re happy making biscuits on your lap! They’re also very responsive (especially when treats are involved!). Peanut is a free-spirited fun-loving sweetie. He’d sit and purr behind Rose as she worked on the sofa. Jerry is a sensitive, thoughtful soul. It took him longer to warm up, but once he did, he was just as affectionate as Peanut. We loved scratching his belly. Erin and Tim’s spacious, light, and clean apartment is centrally located in Zagreb but still very quiet (except on New Years!). It’s near everything, including a great walk along the river. A five-minute walk also takes you to an excellent open-air market and an incredible bakery. We didn’t take the tram while we were there, but their apartment is also along a tram line. Their apartment also had comfortable separate workspaces for the two of us, and the internet speed was the best we’ve had so far as housesitters. Communication with Erin and Tim was easy and fast. It goes without saying that we recommend this housesit and appreciate Erin and Tim’s generosity in inviting us into their home. We’ll miss Peanut and Jerry!
Wonderful house sit. House is in excellent area for exploring and very comfortable. The homeowners, Laura and Joe, go out of their way to make your stay great. Chico, the cat, has personality plus is fun to play with. Great sit!! Thank you for making my stay terrific!
Courtney and Brent left their house and cats in our care as they honeymooned. We had a wonderful week in their cosy house in Calgary. They had taken the time and energy to accommodate us in numerous considerate ways. The cats are really sweet. They enjoy playing and cuddling. We really enjoyed this short house sit, and hope you do too! 😁
Housesitting for Schlooey was a delightful experience. Patrick and Yuliya were exceptionally kind and helpful, and provided thorough instructions that greatly facilitated my stay. Their willingness to communicate and assist with any inquiries I had regarding feeding and medication was greatly appreciated. Schlooey is such an endearing cat who loved to just hang with me and take an occasional trip to the front porch. Their home was impeccably clean and well-organized, reflecting the care and consideration of Patrick and Yuliya, who were an absolute pleasure to interact with throughout my stay.
