We had a great time and Jena left clear instructions and some nice human treats. We really enjoyed the different personalities of her dogs. After the first few hours, they relaxed and treated us as friends.
I had a great stay in Shoreditch with Romeo and Juliet. They are beautiful cats and they are extremely easy to care for. They were super shy to begin with but it was nice that each day they became a bit more relaxed. Bettina's place is in a fantastic location and a great area to explore. It was a wonderful housesit.
I loved my time at Marty and Jill's place! Their home is so comfy and beautifully situated in a wooded neighborhood. It was easy to be out on top notch hiking trails in less than 10 minutes, and I was spoiled to be able to do a different trail every day. Both animals are absolute sweeties. Murph loves attention, hiking and sleeping at your feed while you work. He was very well behaved and easy to care for. I feel lucky to be able to housesit here and would happily come back again anytime!
From the first conversation with Andrea to the time we arrived, we felt welcomed and like friends. Andrea and Laurie have a beautiful period home that has been restored. We slept in a lovely private bedroom at the top of the house that was very comfortable and pretty, with lovely views! The house is very comfortable with lovely fireplaces and a beautiful garden, and in a fabulous location to walk the dogs Duke and Millie, via lovely footpaths, a river walk, and huge fields for them to run about! It is also ideal to catch the bus into York! Duke and Millie are the sweetest dogs, very easy and loveable. There is also a tortoise Doeis who made an appearance, and 2 friendly tame rabbits, Dobby and Buttons. This is a lovely sit, the dogs have a huge pen they can go in after a good walk, if you want to go into town for a few hours.. We only met Andrea, but she is warm and friendly and very welcoming and gives you all the information you need for a lovely sit. If you want to explore York, and surrounding beautiful villages, we highly recommend this sit.
It was a delight to look after Dillion & Sassy and Sandra's lovely home. Communication with Sandra was easy and clear from arranging the sit, during and after the sit. On arrival Sandra made us feel very welcome, with a clear handover. Dillion what a character, so adorable and lovable, he enjoyed his walkies to the field, playing with other dogs and especially his tennis ball! He was also easy to take out in the car for a longer journey. Sassy was a very friendly cat and loved her daily brush. Sandra's house was well equipped and comfortable, our room was very spacious and clean. The house is in a lovely quiet area, where you can walk or drive into countryside so quickly. We would highly recommend going to look after Dillion and Sassy, you will have a fab time.
I looked after Yumi for four days. Yumi was very easygoing, he would nap most of the day and come ask for petting/ cuddles/ playtime once in a while. He was only vocal at meal times and overall very well behaved and such a sweet cat. Elodie gave clear instructions on his care and the flat was clean and modern. I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely recommend for other sitters! 😊
