We were delighted to meet and have Cindy as our house sitter. We kept in contact via texts. When we arrived home, all the bird feeders were full, our home was clean and my indoor and outdoor plants looked great! Thank you so much for looking after everything.
It was a great experience sitting Tex & Ollie! They built up trust quite fast and are very happy to have someone around and to get cuddles. Exploring Oslo city, the parks and the forest with Tex was a lot of fun. Ollie is really cuddly and playful. When going for a walk he knows what he wants. Both dogs are pretty easy going and relaxed! We really enjoyed having them around and going out with them. The appartement is very nice, like on the pictures and in a perfect location to explore Oslo! Jennifer even got some basic groceries for us which was really kind! The communication was always easy and reliant. Thank you so much for letting us stay here and trusting us with your dogs!
What can I say about sitting for Liz & Arthur…? I have done A LOT of sits over the years but I think that this might be my absolute favourite petsit yet! They are very friendly, accommodating and warm people. They made me feel very welcome and at home and there was everything I could possibly need while staying in their beautiful apartment. The flat is absolutely stunning and right in the centre of Valencia, so it is the perfect location for exploring the city if you are a visitor. I particularly enjoyed my morning cup of tea on the balcony with views of the bustling streets beneath and the company of one or more cats basking in the morning sun. However, the best thing about the sit is definitely the cats! At first, I was slightly anxious about looking after so many indoor cats without knowing their usual routines/ personalities. I thought it could be a bit of a handful but actually, the 5 cats are super easy to look after and they entertain each other a lot. That doesn’t mean that they don’t like to play with humans too! Blanca in particular loves nothing more than to be pulled up and down the corridor (at speed) in her cardboard box. Often after dinner, she would plonk herself in the box and wait until I noticed that she wanted to go for a ride! All the cats are so gorgeous and have very different personalities. It took me longer to win a few of them over than the others which is understandable considering they are rescue cats. Blanca and Sazerac were first to demand strokes and cuddles and would talk to me on a regular basis. Next to soften was Katsu and Sanura and last to melt was Butters. Butters seemed very timid and didn't seem to want stroked or any real interaction when I first got there. It took him 4-5 days before he seemed to be comfortable being in close proximity. I was so honoured the evening I came home and he got on my lap :) I have completely fallen in love with them all and am really happy to have been invited back next month as I was sad to say goodbye. I can’t recommend sitting for Liz and Arthur enough. Thank you I can't wait to return in May :)
Sarah and Glenn are very organized and prepared, and everything went very smoothly from the beginning (including the interview stage) till the end. They live in a lovely house with a nice garden, easy 15 min walk to a train station. The nearest supermarket is 10 min walk. Jack and Jess are. very cute and easy to take care of (they love lots of tummy rub :-). My son and I had a very nice, relaxing one week with Jack, Jess and fish. Thank you so much, Sarah!!
Helen and George are nice friendly laid back people with a comfortable home ,the cats were easy going and panther the older took her meds from me with no problem ,although the chickens did not get out of the inner run ( due to the threat of bird flu in a northern county ) we did have a few chats in my 2 night stay .
Suzie and Craig were brilliant hosts. Great and friendly communication and clear information on the house and the lovely pets that was very useful! I had a great time enjoying the company of their three very unique and very loving doggos! We had some really nice walks and evening cuddles on the sofa together. Also had a privilege to greet the day with their beautiful 4 chicken that love to tell their stories and complains first thing in the morning..!😄 The house is really beautiful and cosy, has a very calming atmosphere, with a beautiful big garden and tall tress that can be seen from the bedroom! It’s by the gorgeous country park, right by the river. Ideal for walking the dogs and appreciating nature(especially in autumn!). This sit is just perfect for someone who needs some love, as these therapy dogs will not leave you feeling lonely! Thank you for an opportunity!
Although I have house-sat privately many times before, this was my first time using Trusted Housesitters, and I'm so happy that it was with Sam and the kitties! I had dinner with Sam and his girlfriend the night before their flight, and they are just lovely people with so many interesting hobbies and expertise. Sam's homemade tare is the best I've ever had, hands down! Despite being on the other side of the world during my stay, Sam was very communicative. When there was an issue with medication one day he was able to help me resolve it quickly. I loved getting little travel updates too. Sam's clear instructions and great recommendations made the stay easy and fun. The kitties are so cute and calm, I miss them already! Dexter loves a good brushing and has a lot to say around dinner time. Luna was shy at first but ended up becoming a very sweet alarm clock, and I found out that when she really likes you she drools a little bit 😂. I would definitely recommend staying with Sam and the kitties if you ever get the chance!
