This is a wonderful Sit ~ Josette and her family are gracious hosts and prepared a detailed “Welcome Guide” that enabled me to navigate the particulars throughout my time in their lovely home. The guest room is spacious with floor to ceiling windows looking out into an enchanting, shaded garden. Comfortable bed, adjacent bathroom. The family room is COZY and the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The star of this show is JANAKA! Adorable, intelligent, loving, funny, and protector of the home. Routines are everything, and while it was evident that he was missing his family in the first few hours, once we got in the first walk, feeding and get-acquainted-time, he took the lead and did a great job letting me know what he wanted and needed throughout the sit. We spent a lot of time sitting outside on the upper deck which is filled with lush plants in containers, surrounded by beautiful trees and bird song. We also spent time in the family room snuggled up on the sofa. The location of the home provides easy access to freeways, shopping options and all the things Portland has to offer. Highly recommended. :-)
I had an AMAAAAZING time watching Appa for 10 days in Austin. I fell in love with Appa and loved taking care of him. He's very easy and chill. The place is super cute and cozy; I felt SO comfortable there mostly working and cuddling up with Appa. Ai is very easy to communicate and enjoys daily check-ins. There is not a lot of responsibility aside from caring for Appa (feeding, water, play, litter box), and love to the ~10 ish plants (it was summertime; for me it was spritzing + one day a week 1 hour sunlight + watering). I truly enjoyed myself at Ai's place and especially loved the cuddles with Appa. I would 100% come back and sit again for Ai!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Milo and Lucy, they are the most adorable cats! Dick and Alyce are wonderfully thoughtful hosts, they prepared dinner for us the night before they left and provided a slew of brochures of attractions for us to consider, many of which we saw and enjoyed. The sweet water preserve is just a few blocks away and offers beautiful trails which we enjoyed on our early morning hikes. The home is very comfortable with lots of room to spread out and has a beautiful view which can be viewed from the entire main living area. We are already missing our time there and can’t wait to return!! You’ll have to beat me to it when they travel again!
We had an amazing time at Andrea and Craig's home! They have a beautiful, comfortable and spacious renovated house located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed their backyard surrounded by nature and with a creek walking down. They have a wonderful variety of plants and also a vegetable garden so, if you love nature like us, you will really enjoy being outside with the great company of the chicken clan! It was our first experience taking care of chickens and we really enjoyed it! Feathers, Chick chick, Jeffrey and Cluckers enjoy spending a few hours a day walking and snacking in the yard. They will be around you and if you want to call them, you just have to shake the bag of treats and they will be at your side in a second. Andrea introduced us very well to their daily maintenance and we learned a lot! Their feeding and cleaning routine was very manageable and as a reward, in addition to their friendship, we enjoyed delicious eggs! At the time we were sitting for them, we also took care of Luna and her kitten Stewart. It was so cute seeing them playing and wrestling! Luna can be a little bit shy at first but if you wait for her, se will warm up quickly and she will enjoy some snuggles. She's also a great and patient mommy :) Stewart, like all pups, has a lot of energy and loves to spend time with you playing. He is also very affectionate and will come to ask you for pampering. It's very funny to see how he wants to eat Luna's food no matter how much he has on his plate. Andrea & Craig also lent us their bikes so we went for a few trips around the neighborhood to explore the area. We definitely recommend this sit and we'll do it again with pleasure!
I spent my Christmas and New Years with Oscar & Sadie, two very loving, easy going and mellow doggies! The spacious apartment is right next to the lake and very close to the wonderful rose garden, where Sadie & Oscar can have fun without being on the leash. The hosts were very friendly and uncomplicated. Highly appreciated the fast communication as well !
What an amazing sit. Ann-Marie was such a lovely person to begin with. Communication was really easy and she made us feel like home right from the start. Taking care for Kuna was so easy and we enjoyed her company very much. She is all about her walks, for us her highlight was the afternoon walks where she decided to take on some longer walks, her treats and her best friend, the neighbor's dog (who also loves treats). The house is just amazing as well, right in the forest, and just lovely to spend time in with miss Kuna. We felt so much like home! Thank you Ann Marie for this amazing first experience!!
