I am so happy and grateful I got to know Sybrand's family. I spent almost 10 days in their place and loved it. This was an amazing sit and highly recommended if you enjoy being disconnected from the rest of the world, beautiful sunsets, amazing views and the most cuddly cats. The house is on top of a hill, there are a few buses that you can catch if you feel like going to Paphos city, but the house is so comfortable that you will get everything that you need and probably you will feel like wanting to stay at home most of the time. There are also a few nice and cosy restaurants and tabernas near by and the village is lovely, perfect to enjoy a daily walk. The cats are very independent but they are also social and sweet, especially Sofia, who is still a kitten and has such a funny personality. She gets zoomies at night and makes funny noises while being pet. Sofi will probably come under your blanket when you are lying on the couch and climb to your chest and start purring. After a few days, you have no option, she will steal your heart. Felix is also a sweet heart, he is very calm and loves to be pet. Gyzmo is a dear but has a double life because he is also an Alfa cat outdoors, but when he is at home he always chills next to Felix and loves to be pet. Bella is more lonely and usualy stays inside the house in a quiet place. She does no like that much to be touched but she will come to you when she feels like it. Casper is new in the family and still in the process of learning to socialize with humans and gets easily scared, but if you are patient he will come to you and rub his head against you spontaneously. The last days of the sit, I was already able to pet him and he would even come to chill next to me on the balcony. Sybrand and Francois, once again, thanks so much for hosting me. I will gladly be back to housesit in the future.
I totally fell in love with Zeus and Vishnu right away upon meeting them. I don’t think I’ve met such readily sociable and friendly/fun cats in a long time!! It was an absolutely joy and privilege to watch and care for them as well as Olivia and Stefan’s gorgeous, super comfortable, cozy welcoming apartment. They went out of their way to make sure I knew where to go, what to do, and had the best suggestions for how to get the fullest experience out of my relatively short visit. I truly hope I’ll be back again some day soon.
I loved this sit SO much! I totally fell in love with all of the pets - Manny is a gentle giant who loves to cuddle and chill, Milly is full of energy and constantly made me laugh, Penley was the cutest old man who was so sweet and LOVED cuddles, and Louie was independent and also a sweetheart that loved lots of pets! I had such a nice time cuddling them all in bed and on the couch, and the house was so cozy and lovely - the design is so beautiful. Great central location in Irvington. Maggie was wonderful as well and had great communication - would absolutely sit for her again!
Laila is THE quintessential golden retriever! Instantly sweet with all humans and other dogs, sensitive to feelings, and super smart. She became best friends with our pup Rosa over the course of the week, and we were sad to leave/part them. John and Polly are awesome and have a beautiful home in a unique spot. Endless nature and hiking spots in the neighborhood or a short drive away, and anything you could need is nearby or a short drive to Santa Fe proper. This was a dream house and pup sit all the way around!
We had a most enjoyable dinner and visit with Alison and Andy prior to the sit! Their delightful pets, Molly, the dog, and cats Kiera and Dusty, were all very easy to look after and fun to be with. We took many walks with Molly in the surrounding neighborhood. Alison and Andy's home is lovely and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. They have a lovely front garden where we could lounge and admire the numerous potted plants. The Le Clerc is a short drive for groceries. There are several good restaurants and bakeries in Oloron. We enjoyed a few short day trips to the cities of Pau and Leruns. This is a sit we would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to visit a beautiful area of France and spend time with some adorable pets! Thank you, Alison and Andy!
First class pet sit with an amazing sweet cat called Brandy, in a stunning serene location and a fantastic owner, thank you Courtney! Courtney went above and beyond to provide all information needed and to make sure I felt welcome, ensuring I had a great stay, which I did! From the start, Courtney was very warm friendly and excellent with all communication. Brandy is a sweet gentle independent cat that I miss already! The home is beautiful, clean and has a lovely relaxing vibe ... Morning sunrises were incredible from the bedroom, it's quiet, calm and peaceful with birds singing, Brandy purring a great view of the garden and squirrels What more can you ask for! The bus stop is around the corner and the house has everything you need Thank you for this opportunity Courtney, I highly recommend!
