I spent 6 days with Jane's lovely cats Moose and Suzie. Moose was a little shy at the beginning, while Suzie was the big star and loved cuddling in the bed. They were both very easy to look after.
Wow! What a fantastic sit ! Terri has the two cutest dogs, Maggie-Mae and Ginger, and a very quiet (I’m used to noisy Bengals!) cat Zachary Taylor. The dogs got used to us very quickly, and Zachary T took a couple of days to weigh us up…… I think the grooming comb helped to break the ice, he loves to be combed ! Terri’s home is beautiful, clean, tidy and very well organised. It is located on a quiet street in a lovely neighbourhood, the rear of the house looks out over a lake…..with lots of birds visiting and a resident alligator, which being from the UK we were delighted to see (he kept a low profile, and the rear garden is fenced!). Terri explained really well the animal’s routines and meal requirements and left great notes that we could refer to. We kept in touch with Terri while she was away, it was nice to know she was on hand for any questions. I can thoroughly recommend this sit and we would not hesitate to make a return trip ourselves. David and Emily were extremely trusting and open to Jose and me. We talked over video chat and when we arrived at their home, it was just as David had described. A cute ground flat with the most adorable 2 cats, Oscar and Bodhi. They´re indoor/outdoor cats, so they had a lot of freedom, but most of the time they stayed in the patio or inside to keep cool from the day´s heat. It was super easy to care for them and David and Emily left a great instructions manual PDF with all the information you could need about the house, the cats and the area where they live. Through WhatsApp, we kept in touch easily as I sent them videos and photos whilst they were also helpful to clear any doubts I had about the house or the cats´ whereabouts. The area is peaceful, close to so many beaches and very easy access to Lisbon and surrounding towns via public transport. Having your own car can be advantageous to move around some more interesting areas that may be more limiting with bus times and routes. I would absolutely recommend this as a wonderful housesit for anyone wishing to explore Lisbon, Cascais and other places like Sintra, whilst also enjoying the company of two very adorable cats. Oscar is definitely the more vocal and social of the two, but Bodhi also goes looking for pets and company when he feels comfortable. I will miss these two, but they´re obviously well-loved and are privileged to live where they are. Thanks to David and Emily for letting us taste your Portuguese life!
it was a dream! Erica is such an amazing person and was wonderful to communicate with. The apartment is incredibly beautiful, safe and clean, we enjoyed living there so much, especially because of the two sweet, adorable cats. It was a great week in Los Angeles, would love to do it again! Thank you so much
We had a wonderful stay with Jen’s cute cuddly cats! Jen was so friendly and welcoming, and her apartment was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We had no issues during our sit and had a very relaxing time hanging out with Milo and Nala ❤️
