Barb and Kirk have a beautiful house in a lovely location and are extremely dedicated dog owners. You will need to drive 5 miles to do grocery shopping as there isn't anything within walking distance. They sent me videos with instructions and left me notes, too, and were in contact for my questions (except during the day and a half of a island wide power outage due to a big storm). Whidbey, the big dog, is a handful and has separation anxiety. I couldn't get his bark collar to work after 2 attempts. Because of this, I would recommend that a couple, not a single person, take on this housesit so all three dogs can be taken out on leash together. All three dogs are friendly and sweet and get along well. The small one, Bo, gets a ton of attention at the dog parks which was fun though I found out that some dogs thought he was a rabbit so I had to carry him a few times. There are two off-leash parks within a few miles including a beach, Deer Lagoon a few blocks away (leashes needed) and Greenbank Farm is a very lovely off-leash area 10 miles north. I took the dogs to a dog park at least on a daily basis which was very messy and involved lots of sand in their house and in my car, even with a cover on the backseat, so I did a lot of cleaning. This was in winter so summer wouldn't be as muddy and wet. Whidbey Island is beautiful and well worth a visit (even in a pandemic)!

Simba and Luna were a dream to look after! Very friendly affectionate dogs with entertaining personalities. It was hard to say goodbye to them when we left. Silke and Stefan were amazing hosts who we really enjoyed getting to know. They fed us a lovely dinner on arrival and drove us to and from the train station and airport. Their house is stunning and equipped with all you need for a very comfortable stay. It’s located in a quiet suburb by the lake with lots of walks and nature surrounding. Highly recommend!!
Myriah is an amazing hostess. She opened her house for us, and we felt very comfortable during the pet sitting experience. The house was very organized and clean. The kittennamed LidL is very cute and it’s easy to fall in love with her. The house and the family has an amazing energy and good vibes. The best experience in Europe for us.
This was such a lovely sit--that sweet little Milo is a pleasure to play with and be a sidekick. Matt and Callie's home was quiet and well-appointed. Milo's routine was simple and he was amenable to having his medication. Matt communicated their needs at the home and was responsive to any questions texted to him. Highly recommend this sit!
It was great to have the opportunity to sit for DeeDee and Picasso! DeeDee is very well behaved, easy to care for, and very very lovable! And Picasso, such a charm and ball of fun. The property and home are wonderfully peaceful being nestled in the countryside of beautiful Petersham. And of course it was great to get to know Kaitlin and Bart! They were very accomodating and did everything to make the sit a wonderful vacation for me. I highly recommend sitting for them at any chance you would get!

Lottie loves her walks with Mathieu; he is so good with her, and she absolutely adores him, I'm sure she would rather walk with him than me 😁 Mathieu is so reliable, and steps I'm when asked at short notice. He regularly walks Lottie 2 days a week, but fits in around me when asked. Mathieu has also had her for a day and she didn't miss me at all. We would be lost without him
I cannot recommend Matthieu enough. HE IS AMAZING. Our anti-social, reactive terrier has come completely out of his shell, walking well with others and interacting much more with humans and dogs alike. We get updates from him every walk and I am so glad to see our nervous pup make a new best friend! A million stars out of 10
I can’t recommend We Love Pets highly enough! Mathieu is kind, professional and reliable. He gets on with my dog Ron incredibly well and Ron absolutely loves his weekly walk with Mathieu. I know that Ron is in safe hands and has the best time on his walks, Mathieu occasionally sends photos or videos of Ron on his walk which is always lovely to see!
I can not recommend Mathieu enough: he is so attentive and attuned to animals. My dog trusted him from their first meeting. His insight into their behaviour and needs, creates an instant rapport. As a dog owner with varying commitments, Mathieu is always there for my dog when I need him. He is totally reliable and unlike other walkers, he doesn’t walk with packs and each dog’s safety and well-being is his priority. Mat is a lovely guy and has been walking my dogs since he set up this business. He is very caring and makes sure my dogs are well looked after. Mat has also dog sat for me when I am on holiday and also I emergency. He is so flexible with times and has always accommodated the needs of my dogs, ie. Walking them very early in hot weather, He is a good communicator and just the right man for this job.
Matt has been a fantastic and reliable dog walker for our pup mabel. Getting photos from matt of mabel enjoying her walks (rain or shine) absolutely makes our day and mabel adores matt. When we come home from work, she is usually fast asleep on the sofa and doesn't bat an eyelid, because she's knackered from all the fun she's had on her walk with other dogs. Really happy with the service Mathieu provides . He now regularly walks my little echo in the daytime , as i now work out of from home. I found the company fits our needs and has completely made our family life less stressfull. . I’ve been using Holly for the last 4 years. As an anxious pet owner I find it really hard leaving my cats with anyone when I go away. Holly has taken all of the stress out of that for me and provides regular updates. I have a very nervous cat who needs calm and can become very stressed around new people, but with Holly I often get pictures of him giving her a cuddle! Would absolutely recommend her services.

Rob has been fantastic with my dog over the past couple of years. He's reliable, professional and he always makes sure he gives the best walk possible to Darcy. I receive a lot of communication including a map of their walk each time. Anything I need to know, Rob always passes it on. The first meeting we took the dog for a walk and discussed what he was normally like on a walk and anything that he needed to know before going solo. I also feel that Rob being a dog trainer as well helps me feel secure in leaving my dog with him. There's more to dog walking than taking a dog out on a lead.

Can’t recommend Sophie enough. My cat is a little emotional and easily stressed so a cattery wasn’t an option for us. Right from the start she was very kind and professional - booking her was quick and easy. During the pre visit our cat took to her right away and the updates during our time away really put our mind at ease. On our return home, cat was very happy and we didn’t get the usual “big ignore” from him which shows how happy he was to be looked after by Sophie. We will definitely be using her again!!

We have been using Danni as a dog walker for a month or so now. She is really nice, friendly and good at her job. She has genuine affection for our dog, which is obviously important to us. She always sends a few pics or videos from the walks, which my kids love to see. It’s not just a dog walk, it’s some good socialisation for the dog to. We have no doubts trusting Danni with keys to our house or with the care of our dog and in short, I would not hesitate to recommend her should you need a dog walking service.
Danni recently looked after our dog and chaperoned him to our wedding. He was so well looked after during his 2 day stay with Danni and enjoyed every moment. If you need a dog wedding chaperone or simply need someone to leave your dog with for a few days look no further than Danni.

Danni was fantastic. We found ourselves without a dog sitter for our Goldador and sheepdoodle two days before our weekend away. Danni was responsive to my messages and set aside time for us to come and meet her less than 24 hours later. The dogs LOVED her and we felt so safe after having had a chat with her in her home. Throughout the visit we got videos and photos of the dogs living their best lives. I absolutely recommend you to trust her with your dog(s), i will trust her again with mine.

If you are looking for Dog boarding and soon in the New Year Cats as well, look no further, run very professionaly by husband and wife Jonathan and Kathy, these are just the best pair to leave your beloved pet with, along with the above they offer Grooming by Kathy and Training with Jonathan from pet obedience to a fully trained Shooting or Competition Gundog. I cannot recommend them enough.
The kennels are run by husband and wife team Jonathan and Kathy. Jon is a dog trainer too and Kathy also grooms cats and dogs. The kennels are twice the size of any other kennels and when your pups stay, they are treated like royalty. I have 4 dogs and one of them is an anxious soul (he was 5 months old when we went into lockdown so we weren't able to socialise him like we have with our other puppers) and remarkably he is comfortable with Jon and Kathy because they really understand dog behaviour and treat each dog as an individual. Kathy also grooms all of our dogs, she is incredible with them. We recently adopted and 11 year old Jack Russell who had been severely mistreated. She was so nervous with her nails (the rescue place had only been able to cut her nails under sedation) bit by taking her every 4 weeks, Kathy has patiently got to the point where she can cut her nails with the minimum of fuss. Jonathan and Kathy are fantastic carers who have masses of experience and natural patience and empathy. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else, I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Amazing, when we dropped of our dog (Ralph) he was extremely nervous!! But Kay knew exactly what to do and what would work with him and she assured us that he would fine ? We texted her many times while we were on our break, she kept us up to date both with text and pictures, when it came time to pick him and bring him home we could not believe how happy and settled he was there . Very informative, Jonathan has educated me and helped me massively, I didnt realise I had been doing so much wrong but Jonathan has soon put me right and we have a much better behaved dog within the first week of seeing him! Highly recommend
I would highly recommend as I could not fault the high service provided, especially when my booking was last minute. 5*'s is well deserved as Spiriteddawn Kennels provided 121 daily attention with you pet roughly 7 times a day. On top of that they also get 2 walks a day! There are only 15 kennels so this 121 attention can be managed. The charges are affordable and I would rather my money went to SpiritedDawn Kennels as they show passion rather than making profit. There are also grooming services along with 121 training available. I will certainly be using them again.
5* Excellent kennels. Small family run business. Not overcrowded, quiet & calming environment. Have used them a couple of times now & will continue using them. Great service and good communication with photos of your pets whilst you're away. Very reasurring.
We picked up our puppy after her first boarding experience and she was as happy as we could hope for. Jonathan and Kay were very helpful, we will definitely board her here again.
1st time dogs were in kennels so felt a little guilty leaving them but they were well looked after and didn't seem bothered to see me when I collected them lol .Will definitely use again when required.

We’ve used Rebecca’s dog walking service for almost three years. She’s currently taking Milly for one hour walks on five days each week.We’ve never had any cause to regret choosing Rebecca. She is absolutely committed to providing a first class service whatever the weather and always reports back on how a walk has gone. Rebecca is an absolute superstar - she's looked after our cat Max for the past couple of years and we trust her impeccably. She sends videos and photos so we know he's happy, plays with him and generally goes above and beyond - sweeping up litter off the stairs, collecting the post, putting the bins back and opening / closing the blinds. Remy had his first stay at Belham Wood Kennels he had an amazing time. We were kept up to date with photographs of his activities and he was well looked after by the wonderful staff. Would definately recommend and will be using them again.
Mr Darcy our mini labradoodle loves it here and always has a wonderful time. They post photos on their facebook page of the dogs being exercised so you can see your dog enjoying it's self putting your mind at rest if you don't like leaving them whilst you are on holiday. I would certainly recomend them.
My girls went for their first night stay and we was greeted by Zoe, I felt at ease straight away, Zoe was lovely, professional and amazing with my girls. The kennels are clean, with plenty of exercise space to run and enjoy, I would never take my dogs anywhere else Belham Wood Kennels are the best and I know I can relax that my girls are being loved and taken good care of. Great kennels great service. Loki loves going there so much so he doesn't even look back now once he's arrived. Loves the attention he gets there. Dogs are returned in a happy and healthy state. Before retirement I was a Licensing Officer and have carried out many visits to numerous kennels so I know what I should and shouldn't be seeing. I visited Belham Wood before taking our new puppy there and I immediately knew what a gem of a place it was. It is better here than any other kennels I have visited. There was a quietness about the place, no deafening barking and howling and there was no background smell of dog mess and Jayes Fluid. The sleeping areas are fully tiled, with raised beds. All the metalwork was in good order with no signs of rusting. I was also impressed with the attitude of the staff, Zoe in particular. The excercise areas are well fenced and secure with plenty of enrichment activities. We had an easy handover and pick up by appointment and both were relaxed affairs giving less stress to the dog and owners. We have booked 2 more visits this year and I would recommend Belham Wood to anybody looking for a caring establishment.
My dog has stayed at Belham Wood a few times now. He can be a challenging dog and they manage him really well. Its individual household turnout so I don't have to worry he will be reactive to other dogs and I know they understand his needs. Its a smaller, personal Kennels, quieter than larger kennels which is less stressful for the dogs and with the owners living on site I know the dogs are secure at all times. The facilities are great with large roomy kennels with an outside run, huge paddock for walks, lots of activities to keep the dogs brains active during their stay and really lovely staff. I can go away worry free when my dog is at Belham Wood.
