I can't recommend Amara enough for a housesit. She was very thorough on our call, asked great questions, and genuinely seemed so excited to meet my dog and kitty. I could tell she was an absolute animal lover. My schedule was a bit up in the air as travel has been a nightmare lately. She was flexible with her departure time to ensure Lou wasn't left alone for too long without being able to go out. She provided cute photo updates but was very self sufficient during her stay. When I returned the house was cleaner than I left it. Again, can't recommend her enough!
We love sitting for Falynne and little Luna. Falynne has the cutest apartment that is pretty central to lots of things and close to great shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. Falynne gives clear and detailed instructions on how to take care of Luna and our stay is always enjoyable. Luna is the sweetest! She loves belly rubs and being brushed. She will snuggle with you or chill on the couch. I always get a kick out of putting CatTv on because she gets really excited by the birds and squirrels 😆. We always enjoy a wonderful sit with Falynne & Luna!
It was an absolute pleasure to housesit for Bek and Cat. Their home is in a fabulous location, sitting perfectly between the beach and the city and with a diverse range of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. They have created a house full of serenity and I felt like I was relaxing at a hotel (but had all the practicalities of home)! Very clean and tidy with so many thoughtful touches left by lovely hosts.The best part of all though was getting to hang out with sweet Doru who is a bundle of doggy coolness. He is very well trained and knows all the household rules (although may try to test you to see if you do too)! He obviously loves human company and it was delightful to have him nearby even when I was being boring and just reading my book instead of going on walks or playing with toys. Bek and Cat were so easy to communicate with and incredibly generous with their home and warm welcome. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending sitters take the opportunity to join Doru at his place!
Shalini and her cuties are such alovable family. I stayed with Shalini onthe first night of our sit so that she could show me around and introduce me toher purrbabies. This was my first sit, so I was a bit apprehensive anyway, but Shalinimade me feel right at home. She insisted that I sleep on the bed and she tookthe futon. She bought us Thai food and weshared a lovely meal. And she introduced me to a bingeworthyseries. We laughed and laughed. I finished the whole first season on my firstnight alone with the kitties. Shalini and I both had somesituation changes during our interview process. And communication was easy, clear,and kind. I felt supported by her andalso like she was a partner working to find our mutual solution. Once we founda solution, everything went exactly as planned. The condo is in a secured building,all bright and modern. Shalini’s home is clean and organized. She made plentyof room for my things in the closet and dresser. She even cleaned the microwaveto sparkling during that first night together. Now for the kitties. I’m stillmissing their sweetness! Deadie is confident and cuddly. Hewants plenty of attention but is also happy to grab a nap if you are notavailable. He gives the best hugs, draping across your shoulder, limp andcuddly. He’ll warm right up to you.Deadie required some topical medication applied to his ear twice a day. He issuch a good sport about it. Princess is the quiet one.Reserved. Undemanding. And a bit aloof. Until she gets to know you. Then,she comes asking for cuddles. Tummy pets. And sweet purrs. Lots of them! Meditation time on Shalini’s bed wasespecially peaceful since the kitties both came running to enjoy the zen moment. I look forward to staying with thecuties again sometime soon. Will definitely stay in touch with this sweetfamily. Sloan’s lake is a hopping area!Plan for some picnic time or maybe a rollerblade. Beware of the parking regulations.Streets rotate “no parking zone” due to street sweeping. They are clearlymarked…and um, I got a ticket anyway. My fault entirely, but I wanted to warn ya! And definitely grab dinner at the food truck nearby! Super yum. Forgive the typos. Copy/paste was super weird and messed up my original message.
Sitting for Sadie was an absolute delight! She is smart, sweet, sassy and confident. Sadie is very friendly and connected with us quickly. She enjoys playing with her toys and being chased. Sadie slept with us, burrowed under the covers. She is well trained and enjoys playing with her toys, being chased inside and walking, whether in the neighborhood or in town. She is crate trained and goes into her kennel very easily. Our warm, friendly hosts provided clear directions for her care and were always available when we had questions. Sadie’s home is beautiful, relaxing, well equipped and is in a very nice sidewalk lined neighborhood. Franklin, a quaint historic town, is nearby with many great restaurants and shops. Cool Springs shopping is also great. We would love to sit again for Sadie anytime!
Our experience with Phyllis, Zelda, and Max was just wonderful. Phyllis was very forthcoming in her explanations and directions and was very accommodating to us. She is obviously an animal lover. Her home has a lot of charm and character, and her back porch is quite magical with the tall trees and privacy—it’s like another world. Both cats were super cute and friendly. We already miss them. This was a pleasurable and memorable cat/house sit! Thank you, Phyllis!
