Rebecca and her daughter stayed in our house for 5 weeks and took care of our elderly poodle mix, Topper. She arrived on time at the beginning having read our Welcome Guide thoroughly and with great questions. More importantly, she said hello to Topper first and checked in with him several times while we were going through the house. During the sit, she sent lovely pictures of Topper really showing his (and her own) personality and what they were doing together. If she had any doubt about something, she would let me know but was always sensitive to not bother me about little things. For example, she realized he wasn’t eating his medication that I had prepared for him to take in his food and prepared more from extra and gave it to him orally so he wouldn’t miss a dose. And she appropriately managed his marking issues without fuss without needing instruction. Rebecca also managed moving my car for street cleaning and kept the house in order. Both she and her daughter were super respectful of our home and neighborhood. When I returned home the house was spotless and Topper was lively and clean. Unfortunately, due to her work schedule, I didn’t get to say goodbye and thank you, but we’ve been in contact since. In all, it was a pleasure and a relief to have them both here. I always felt that Topper was happy and stable and that nothing seemed to ruffle Rebecca. I got the sense that she also enjoyed being here and that she genuinely cared for my dog. I would be more than happy to have them back.

We minded Rufus and Pip for the above dates. Jillian rang us to confirm the arrangement with us and did state that they were quite 'full on' dogs. We didn't quite get the gist of what that really meant but decided to take on the challenge. Once we made the commitment we stuck to the agreement. We knew that they needed at least 2 walks a day and we didn't mind that at all, however we found them very hard going on the leash (Jillian said to use the harness but that was impossible on these big dogs) as they had not been disciplined at all in walking with people and tugged on us all the way. however we persevered and attempted to teach them how to walk more politely using our knowledge of dogs we have previously owned and trained. We felt that we were starting to get somewhere by the end of the stay. Most of the time these dogs were good company and we got to like them a lot but because they were used to having the run of the house we found it hard to cope whilst we were out because they were able to push open their door (the inside latch had been broken and not repaired) . We tried to barricade the entrance but nothing worked not even the large chest as they just pushed it till it opened. this gave us quite a deal of stress as on a couple of occasions they had come in and got at things i.e. the kitchen bin, pulled things off the table etc(broke some crockery in the process). We wised up in the end and made sure that everything was out of reach. Pip and Rufus would be much easier to handle if they had a some obedience training - could walk more politely and come when called.

Thank you so much Matt and Jen for entrusting us with sweet, playful Albus, and welcoming us to your very comfortable home in Riverside, Launceston!

Jen’s communication and organisation were faultless, with ‘Off piste’ sessions organised in advance and the possibility of dog day-care available.

Jen also set up a very comprehensive ‘welcome pack’ which provided very useful
and helpful information about Albus’ care; the running of the household and tips and advice on the locality and Launceston ‘at large’.

It was a huge bonus to be given the loan of a car which allowed us several excursions to the beach with Albus and also providing us with the option of dropping Albus the occasional day at ‘Yours in Paws’.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Tasmania and have fond memories of many pleasurable excursions to charming villages and breathtaking vistas! We will also treasure sweet memories of time spent with Albus.

Best wishes,
Sylvia and Ludwik.

Viktoria
All things considered, it was a pleasure to sit for Viktoria and her family. Kiwi was a very sweet and well-behaved host :). She liked to roam freely outside but also loved to keep me company whenever she got a chance.
The house was lovely and the location was very quiet and relaxing but still very close to Munich, which was nice.
Viktoria and the welcome guide told me everything I needed to know about the house and Kiwi, so I felt very comfortable from the beginning. Communication with Viktoria before and during the sit was also very easy through text and calls.
Great experience and would definitely recommend sitting Kiwi for Viktoria and her family :)

Emma
Sitting Emma's flat was a very enjoyable experience. She left detailed instructions for how to work everything, making it easy to settle in.

George is the sweetest cat, very gentle and independent. A pleasure to look after him!

The flat is in a quiet, residential area, but a quick walk to train and bus stops to take you straight into central London and beyond. Some great coffee shops nearby too. I would definitely sit for Emma again!

Kaarin
Kaarin is an awesome person to house sit for! She is incredibly kind and accommodating.
You will absolutely fall in love with her kitties. They are so sweet and love to cuddle! Her gorgeous, Hawaiian/beach style townhome is so warm and cozy! It’s also in a great location…. almost everything you need is within walking distance or a short drive.. and the beach is only 15-20 min away, depending on which one you choose explore.
I would highly recommend sitting for Kaarin!

I was a most wonderful time taking care of these sweet animals and farm home!

The location:
Nestled about 1.5 hours from downtown Vancouver, the location was easy to find and drive to. Nicole and Mark provided us with excellent recommendations on where to eat/visit/hike near their property. We loved one recommendation of theirs, Land Cafe, which is a vegetarian friendly cafe that had the most delicious treats and coffees.

The home:
Super comfy and homey. They left coffee and tea and all the basics one would need to cook and make themselves comfortable. The wifi is really good if you need to work remote like we were. Beds are also very comfy and we slept well. They also had a great selection of tv subscriptions to keep yourself entertained on the couch at night. Mark also filled up the propane tank on the fire pit for us, so we enjoyed many evenings roasting marshmallows and breathing in the fresh air.

The animals:
They are the goat!! Literally haha. I had no clue goats were so sweet. They take really good care to home kind animals and it shows. The babies were really fun to watch and they will keep you entertained all day. The chickens were easy to care for, and it was highly enjoyable to collect so many fresh eggs every day (we also got to take some home which was an added bonus). Last but not least > Emmy, the beautiful Great Pyrenees pup, was such a good gorl. She is a well trained, kind doggo that chills outside working during the day and cozys up inside with you during the evening.

I would highly recommend the opportunity to sit here for new and experienced sitters alike and look forward to returning myself!
