Dog Sitters in Piedmont

Some pet parents may be looking for the merest assistance - food in a bowl and a little attention for their pets here and there. That bare minimum is what you will receive with this couple. If that is good enough for you, then great. If not, you should understand that they are not suited to care for your home, and more importantly, your beloved companions. We were quite baffled by how underwhelming these two cared for our pets and our home. Teddy and Bear were fed, yes, but the particulars which were clearly stated in our initial video conversation, and are further detailed in the manual, were quite obviously not followed. Having grown up with dogs for 20 years and had the pleasure of cats as pets/companions for more than 25 years, it was quite obvious by their behavior (particularly Teddy’s) that the care we had requested of them was overlooked. The “plant person” in Lucinda was definitely not present either. We had left clear (in pictures and text messages) which of the plants needed care over the week. Random plants we had NOT requested to be watered or cared for had been (leading to overwatering) and others we had requested were completely neglected, some of which died (a few on our balcony). The respect of our kitchen was completely absent. We were quite taken aback to find dirty dishes, bowls, and glassware put right back in the cupboards, unwashed, stained, littered with food, wine, drink, even lip residue, as if they had been rinsed with water and just thrown back in. It would be impossible to have put them away in such a condition without completely neglecting soap and a dish sponge. It was really, pretty nasty. Throughout our time away, we asked how things were going and from the beginning tried to give reminders about the particularities (because they were late on arrival and we could not see them before we had to leave) to which we were constantly responded to with “I know.” They clearly did not know, or did not care, and used our home like a bachelor pad, trying to clear things up at the last minute, as if we had no awareness of, or insight into, our own home, pets, or plants.

Julia is truly a five star house sitter. From the beginning, she communicated well. On the day of arrival, she was punctual, efficient and friendly. Our cats and the plants were very well looked after and the house was left in a very clean condition. Thank you Julia. I highly recommend Julia to anybody.

Susan was WONDERFUL! She's a caring, attentive and fun sitter, and a truly lovely human being. We're hoping Sue will come back and watch our pup again!

Gaia is a thoughtful, kind house and pet sitter. She communicated frequently, was able to manage the quirks of a large house, and reassured us that she could manage house and pets. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived home and we truly appreciated her stay.

I have truly won the jackpot with Elena and Francesco. All the rave reviews about this amazing couple is well, well deserved. It was my first time on TH as well as my first time being away from my pets for 2 and a half months so I was quite anxious to leave my home and babies to complete strangers. My concerns were totally invalid! My pets warmed up to them almost immediately! They cared for each one of them like their own, maybe even better than I do! My dog Guapo had a little hotspot that didn’t seem to go away right before they arrive and they tended to it until it was fully healed! My elder cat Lexi with a seasonal skin issue also was in the best fur condition when I came back. They truly cared for the pets just like it’s their own and it really shows. Even my house maid who comes once a week was truly smitten by them! What touched me the most was the home cooked food prepared for me in the fridge when I came back, the home necessities fully restocked which they didn’t have to, the little gifts for me, my pets and my house maid - and a little portrait of me and dog painted by Elena.

Davide and Francesca were excellent with our kitties and home. Very responsive and went above and beyond during a heat wave to make sure our kitties were taken care of. Thank you Davide and Francesca!

It was a pleasure having Virginia and her family stay with us. Our diabetic cat needs injections twice a day, and they handled that challenge with no issues. I felt that we were kept up to date with how our pets were doing, and we came home to two happy cats and four healthy chickens. Thank you 🙏

Dawn and Kim seemed to love our house as much as they loved our cats! The cats were very happy and content, which is a testament to their great care. They were fantastic house sitters - highly recommended, no trouble at all. We'd definitely have them back again and have already spoken to them about it! Any pets would be lucky to have them sit and look after them - 5 Star!!

Absolutely fabulous! I cannot recommend Cristina more highly! I knew from the moment we spoke that Cristina would be amazing and she stood out from all the other applicants even without a review! Such a sweet and kind women and was very efficient and organised and easy. From the moment she arrived she was super flexible till the moment she departed she worked around my schedule to fit in to stay with Mya.The photos and videos she send me of Mya, I knew was totally in love with her. My home was immaculately clean and she was so thoughtful she made me a delicious Aubergine pie on my arrival. Lovely lovely lady and I will not hesitate to ask her back again for Mya! Bernarda and Fernando were wonderful to work with! They're an adorable couple who took great care of our apartment and kitty. They were both very responsive to texts over WhatsApp before and during their stay, sending updates daily, which gave us peace of mind. I provided a lot of information and instructions beforehand and they handled everything great. When we got back, they had left the place clean, and our kitty was very relaxed. It takes him a bit of time to warm up to strangers and they were patient with him over the first day or so, not expecting him to be cuddly at first. I would have them back anytime!

Both Hanna and Wojciech were fabulous from the first video call. Exceedingly diligent with keeping in touch throughout the first booking. They both spent a large amount of time staying with Zoey and making sure she was well taken care of. I came home to a very spoiled and happy dog. It was a pleasure to have them here. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing care for their pet. Super

This was our first time using TH... We consider ourselves so lucky to have had this wonderful family stay in our home and take care of our Boxer. She can be a lot and Shayna and Paolo and their kids were such great sports... We are grateful and hope they can come back!!!! 5 stars out of 5!!!!!! A++++++
