Thank you Marga and Marco for a truly amazing experience. Rio has my heart forever. We enjoyed walks, he received tons of doggie massages, brushings, playtime and energy healing. Marga was so accommodating and really a Kind hearted person and great communication. San Clemente is a beautiful community, encourages a healthy active lifestyle, artistic homes and the neighbors are super friendly too. I already miss Rio. I’m happy to care for Rio anytime. Blessings to you all.
Silvia was a wonderful host and I would highly recommend this sit and would be happy to return in the future. My family had such a great time with the birds. Phoebe has such a fun personality and loves to dance and get head scratches. Mango and Jade were also very sweet and entertaining. The house was clean, large, and well-equipped. There are two bus stops right nearby that we easily used to get into the city for sight-seeing so the location was great too.
Really enjoyed my time with Sonalee & Paul's pets, getting a sample of Spanish village life. Despite there being quite a lot of animals to care for, it is an easy sit that allows for daily outings in the area - and there are plenty of castles and villages nearby to explore. The dogs are lovable and quite well mannered. Sonalee has their routine well organized. The cats become affectionate and let their perso nalities show once they get used to you. Walking the dogs through the olive groves was the highlight of my time there. The dogs loved it and so did I. This is the Subettica region of Andalusia, so picture rolling hills covered with rows of olive trees, from horizon to horizon. It's a unique opportunity to experience something a little different and special, and I recommend it highly. The townspeople are friendly, and will say hello (hola!) as you pass in the street. There is a little grocery store and bakery just a couple of blocks away. I enjoyed shopping there and their Sunday pastries are delicious. Don't miss the churro cart that comes to town on Mondays! The house is of authentic Spanish village construction. It has been modernized in the past, and has just had the kitchen updated. North Americans might find it charmingly rustic, but it's quite comfortable and filled with love.
This is my first house sit with Trusted Housesitters and Ashley and Dan made the entire process very seamless and pleasant. First, communicating with Ashley throughout the process was beyond my expectations. There is an extremely approachable demeanor about her. She even offered to cook us a pot roast! She informed me on how to care for Henry and Ellis prior to my arrival, then upon arrival warmly greeted and introduced us to her dogs and her home. I felt so at ease having a clear understanding of her expectations, as well as feeling comfortable and at home, in her and Dan’s home. Also, we felt safe and at peace in the quiet area. Caring for Henry and Ellis was easy, so much that I was able to even be assisted by my young child, who loved giving Henry and Ellis a treat after they “used the potty”, outside and helping me capture photos and videos of the dogs, to share with Ashley. The dogs would go to their favorite spots, while we watched TV and we’re happy to see us when we returned from exploring the area. My young child loved playing at the Children’s Museum of Alamance County, riding the rides at the Burlington City Park, and getting a new pair of sunglasses at the Tanger Outlet Mall. I would recommend sitting for Ashley and Dan, anytime!
This sit was a wonderful dream. Karen and Stephen's home is a beautiful oasis in the Palisades that you will never want to leave. From the salt water pool and glorious lounge areas to the cozy bed and gorgeous stocked kitchen, this automation forward home is everything. It's also a quick walk to the Waterfront and Georgetown as well as Glover Park where the trails offer a lovely reprieve in the summer. Now on to the pups! Ziggy and Bandit are both adorable and super easy to care for. Ziggy is a cuddly, playful and voracious little man who is a joy to be around. Bandit is a precious old guy with a youthful spirit and lovable disposition who loves a good scratch, lays in the sun and takes glorious naps wherever he pleases. Karen and Stephen are also two of the most wonderful, kind humans I've sat for thus far. Both are incredibly hospitable, easy-going, friendly and fun. Throughout the sit, they were readily communicative and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and so much more (eg bubbles in the hot tub!!). Would highly recommend and hope to be able to help out again :)
Marley is the sweetest dog ever. Very easy to care for and very friendly. Judy was very communicative and very nice. Also very understanding when I couldn't make it to our agreed time in the morning. The house is lovely and very homey
