When we applied for the sit we had a great feeling that this would be one of a kind sit in beautiful Scotland with beautiful dogs and horses. Immediately we felt the warmth and love of Angie and Linton and we were very much looking forward to meeting everyone. To get the opportunity to be on the land, pine bathing forests, visiting Bob the badger, the gorgeous Fern and Ben and a priveledge to look after 2 horses Star and Maggie. It truly is a magical place and we felt like we'd known Angie and Linton forever. Handover was excellent and great support during the sit aswell. Ben and Fern are elderly but have a spring in their step but you need to be careful not to over exert them closely monitoring how they felt. We fell in love with them and miss them. We visited the horses a couple of times a day with food and to give cuddles - what an honour it was to be with them. The area is stunning and the views from the farm are amazing. The farm house is very comfortable and our room top class and Keith the town is not far with good connections to Aberdeen. We had an amazing time made by Angie and Linton with their love, warmth and generosity. We were truly inspired of how they live their life and what they are creating in Moray. Be prepared for a wee dram This is whiskey country
It was my great pleasure to sit for Mary and Gary in their beautiful home and take care of their two fun and affectionate cats, Hudson and Ranger. Gary picked me up at the airport after a long flight and, thoughtfully, Mary made sure I was comfortable in every way with their home, the cats, and their expectations. Mary and Gary are responsive, effective communicators, generous and kind, and trusted my judgment without question. They provided excellent instructions on the care and feeding of the cats, on watering the various plants around the yard and in the home, and on home maintenance, while providing suggestions for local restaurants and guidance for finding stores I might need. They filled the fridge with some of my favorite foods and allowed me to use their car. Their home is well appointed, comfortable, and calm, and the cats excellent companions, immediately accepting of their temporary caregiver. Watching their daily antics, and receiving their unconditional love, in the special ways cats express it, made it difficult to part ways. If Mary and Gary choose you for a sit, you are a lucky person!
I had a wonderful week-long stay at Liz & Jan’s beautiful property in Metchosin. Liz & Jan welcomed me the night before our sit with a delicious homemade dinner and made sure I was well acquainted with the property and with Sophie’s care routines. Their home is immaculate with beautiful forest and mountain views and wonderful amenities that they very generously shared (hot tub, pool table, etc). Sophie is a sweetheart - super snuggly and fun. Because of her breed and young age, she needs quite a bit of stimulation and challenge, so forest hikes, and games where she gets to search for toys or treats are a great idea. There are beautiful, hiking trails through the forest at the end of the Liz and Jan’s cul-de-sac. Liz and Jan are lovely, generous people. They were very accommodating in helping make arrangements so that I could catch a ferry to my next sit. It would be an absolute pleasure to be invited back to care for their home and sweet little Sophie again!
Great sit, the kitties were shy and took some time to warm up to me. House was clean and tidy with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Communication was great.
Laura is a very kind person, my experience taking care of Oxy and Rue was very gratifying, Oxy is a kitten Very sociable and loving, he likes to be pampered and feel accompanied.Rue is more independent and takes longer to feel comfortable, however It's very calm and little by little we became friends. It was a pleasure helping Laura take care of her kittens. The location of the place is very good, close to the Downton where you find everything you need.Thank you Laura for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to start my path on this platform.
