We spent a week staying in Lia's beautiful home in Los Gatos. The communication with Lia was very easy and clear and we were made to feel very welcome. The location was in a nice neighbourhood within easy access of nice shops and restaraunts etc. We had a lot of fun hanging out with maggie, future and timo and the responsibilities with the chickens and fish was a breeze. I would definitely recommend a house sit at Lia's home in Los Gatos!
Rosemary and Dave were very welcoming hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing time and stories with them before and after their time away. Directions on the care required for their home, plants and their awesome cat, Mimieux, were much appreciated and easily followed. Spending time in their home and exploring Gabriola Island was a great experience and we would welcome another invitation.
This was only our 2nd sit and our first long one, quite honestly I doubt we’ll ever better it. The dogs and cats were a delight to look after and we will miss them. Jenny’s house is in a wonderful rural location with amazing views. There’s lots of good hiking in the area and of course the famous Caminito del Rey. Jenny and Alonso made us most welcome and we hope we have the opportunity to return.
Communication was stellar on this petsit. I arrived to a cozy, charming home and was greeted by sweet Tinkerbell and Twilight and adorable Wally. Tinkerbell and Twilight asked me for snacks and Twilight enjoyed playing with my hair. Wally loves his walks and knows exactly where he wants to go 😄 He's very photogenic and I think he enjoys posing, he's just so cute!
Ann was kind and informative, and communicated well from the beginning. We arranged for me to tour the house and meet Simone and Selah in advance. I found this preview really helpful, and I left feeling comfortable with the expectations and looking forward to the upcoming sit. Selah and Simone are absolutely lovely and sweet kitty characters to care for. Both girls are intelligent and friendly, and Selah is especially personable, even sleeping at the foot of the bed one of the nights of my stay.❤️ Simone is playful and sprightly and lots of fun. I enjoyed playing with them with their laser and fishing toys, and giving them all the pets! Staying at Ann's house is a treat. The residence is a larger, craftsman home - very classic Portland - with upgraded touches. It's bright, clean, well-maintained, and filled to the brim with heart and good vibes. Some notes just to know what to expect: The downstairs windows are not dressed. I really felt fine with this and enjoyed the extra sunlight without feeling too "spotlit" especially as it's quite a safe area, but for some folks this might be uncomfortable. The house is not equipped with AC, though I found the temps still very pleasant despite outdoor highs in the low 80's F during my stay. Lastly, there is no TV set. I think this contributes to a subdued, calm environment, but noting just for awareness. (Also, you can bring a laptop etc. if you want to watch TV/stream.) This was a wonderful sit - If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend the experience!
Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in her home while watching her communicative cat, Kuzco. She left us plenty of space for our belongings as well as in the frig, freezer and pantry which is always appreciated. Kuzco was so soft and loved being petted. She knew how to let us know when she wanted what, and we couldn’t help but oblige. All amenities needed are very close by. Clovis, and a lot of California, experienced a rather cold spell during the time we were there which made visiting nearby Kings Canyon and Yosemite out of the question due to road closings, but we really enjoyed our extra time with Kuzco. We wish them both much happiness in their new home in Texas. Diane and David
