I had a really good stay with Cora ☺️ She is really generous, kind and friendly. She was honest and helpful. The location is stunning as well. Close to a huge park and not far away from the city centre. The dogs were cute and friendly. We got along with each other pretty well. Usually, I would prefer to not share my bed, but in this case I kind of had to, to not be woken up at 5am by the dogs. 😂 The dogs have a lot of energy and need good walks. All in all it was a lovely experience and I would stay with the poochies again. Btw I fell I. Love with Dundee🤍
Where to begin! This sit was an unforgettable experience which my family thoroughly enjoyed for 6 weeks. The setting is a stunning property in a very idyllic hilltop location in the rolling hills of Chianti. A Tuscan view you can only dream of, it took our breath away every day for 6 weeks. Truly, it’s incredible. Higgins & Hazel are delightful dogs, who are beautifully behaved, gentle, social, friendly, and often extremely amusing. We were lucky enough to bring our own dog on this sit, and the dogs formed a very tight knit pack and enjoyed running around the fenced in property all day together chasing each other through the vineyards- it was wonderful to watch them! We also brought along our toddler, and we’ve never experienced sweeter or more tolerant dogs than Higgins & Hazel- this is absolutely a family friendly sit! In the end, Hazel formed a very close bond with our daughter, and they seemed to always be side by side, a remarkably endearing friendship to witness. We never once had to worry about the safety of our child with these angel dogs! The accommodation is gorgeous and elevated with a Tuscan charm to both of the houses on the property, with high end interiors. We spent time in both houses at different points of our stay, and felt they each had their own special features to offer. A huge highlight for us was the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rolling hills- the view was nothing short of spectacular. We already miss the sound of crickets, smell of lavender, and cuddles with the loveliest dogs you will ever meet. However, the most wonderful part of the entire experience was getting to meet Susie and John. These guys are just wonderful people, and that’s really the only way to put it. They welcomed us and treated us like family from the very beginning. They are two of the most caring, generous, welcoming people we’ve ever met, and have become our dear friends. They have an open invitation to our home in Holland, and we look forward to hosting them to express our gratitude for the wonderful summer we had on their gorgeous property where the stars literally feel within reach. We highly recommend this sit, especially to nature lovers, who are looking for a unique once in a lifetime experience of off-grid peace. Truly special, the entire experience. A dream sit for us, for sure.
We adored this sit. Chance is a beautiful dog. She knows her neighbourhood well and is great fun to run or walk with. Equally, she has a beautiful soft nature and was gentle, but playful with our children. The Oakland Hills are peaceful and Alex has a gorgeous home, with plenty of space. Alex is really lovely and communication was straight forward. Highly recommend!
Major and Mouse are gorgeous dogs. Major is energetic and loving; he will put his head in your lap and ask for pats when you’re sitting on the lounge. Mouse will mostly do her own thing but is very sweet. Julia is a kind and accommodating host who can be easily contacted if you have any questions. She left us clear instructions for Major and Mouse’s routines. Henstridge is a quiet and beautiful small village. The house is a short walk away from a very friendly local pub that serves really good local ciders. The walks around the area are very nice if you enjoy being outdoors. The house itself is a cozy character house. Some of the ceiling is a bit short if you’re a tall person but most (average-height) people shouldn’t find it an issue. We really enjoyed this housesit and would return. Thank you Julia!
We had a lovely time staying at Martha's home and looking after Bunny and Rosemary. Martha's apartment is spacious and comfortable. The apartment is in a great location, quiet, and just by the lake. Martha was great - she was very thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed meeting her and the kitties. Bunny and Rosemary are sweet and adorable cats. Bunny is your quiet little friend who loves to sit with you and watch tv, and hang out. Rosemary loves to play, and she loves sitting on your lap in the morning to look out the window. She was also a great work-helper and loved to make cameos in my Zoom meetings! : ) Both were very easy to look after, no fuss at all. They just love to be around you, and are real sweeties. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend housesitting for Martha!
We loved our time with Al! The loft is beautiful, spacious, and clean, with an amazing plant-filled patio. Great location close to a subway stop in a quiet area. Al is the sweetest cat and loves his toy, windowsill naps, and head scritchies.
