As soon as I met Marjorie and Birdie on our introductory video call, I knew this would be a fantastic housesitting experience. And I was right! Birdie is so sweet and smart! She loves belly rubs and treats and is a great walking partner. She took me on beautiful walks around the neighborhood and through the UNM campus. I miss her already! And Marge could not have been more welcoming. Since she was leaving in the morning, she invited me to arrive the night before and made a delicious dinner for us to share. I really enjoyed getting to know her. She also has a folder filled with everything you could ever want to know about Birdie, the house, local restaurants, and activities, and she is quick to respond to texts and emails. I’m grateful for this experience and hope our schedules align in the future so I can return. I HIGHLY recommend this housesit. Thank you, Marge and Birdie!
Fender is a dream of a dog and beautiful. When he and I walked around town, people stopped us to comment on his handsome coat and to stroke him. It is obvious he is well-trained. Fender was welcomed into all the shops downtown, praised for his calm demeanor, and rewarded with a treat. My 96 lb, 75 year old mother felt confident holding his leash since he does not pull, jump or get the leash tied up around your legs. At the awesome off-leash dog park near the house, he did not stray far from me and came when I called him. He got along with every dog we met. He adores his ball and does not tire of playing fetch in the back yard. My accomodations were my own entire home right next door to the owner's home. The home has been tastefully updated and remodeled. It was very clean and uncluttered, which I so appreciated. Fender slept on his bed upstairs with me and greeted me in the mornings with a grin and a lick. I was grateful for the ability to store my bicycles in the garage. Hiking, biking, and exploring town are just out the front door of the home. The town is dog friendly, the trails are dog friendly and exploring was fun with Fender.
I feel so blessed to have spent time with Rainbow in this beautiful home. Rainbow gives such wonderful cuddles and I really hope that I can come back to visit. She loves to chat and have company and this is an ideal sit for a home body. Deeply grateful.
We highly recommend this sit! The kitties are so sweet and gentle and the chickens are fun to hang around. Jennifer made everything easy for us and her house is very comfortable.
Frankie and I spent three weeks sharing Nicky's gorgeous apartment and we had a wonderful time. Frankie is quiet, sweet, and a loving companion. She's friendly and well-behaved and in a dog-friendly place like Mexico City, she makes a great +1 to almost anywhere. Nicky is a great communicator and a heartful host even from a distance. I would happily sit with Frankie all over again, any time, and recommend anyone with an opportunity to experience Nicky's sun-drenched home (those giant windows are a dream!) in a perfect location to come for a great experience. I had an excellent time living with Toffee. We became good friends and I really enjoyed her personality. She's a very sweet and loving rabbit and she's so soft to touch too. I was left clear instructions on what to do and had regular pleasant check in with the owners too. I would happily come and look after Toffee again!
