Sonia
Sonja has a spacious, cosy home with plenty of original features. A comfy bed & a well equipped kitchen. We met Sonja and her five daschies, goats, doves & pony in advance of the sit. The dogs are a little family of great character & very cute. They don't require walking but have plenty of land to run around on. It's quite funny watching them charge out of the back door together, going as fast as their little legs will take them, to chase something they have heard.😄They love to be as near as possible to you when you sit down. Juno & Bindi like to be the closest, but we tried to give equal shares of cuddles to them all. Sonja did warn us they sometimes have the odd wee/poo accident in the house, which did happen a few times but they have their own area to sleep in which keeps things contained. We made sure they had all been out for a loo stop before bedtime which definitely helped. Their recall from the garden to the house is pretty good, you may find one might take longer if they have found a particularly interesting smell, but they do come back.
The goats, horses & doves are very simple to feed & don't require any cleaning out. You have to watch Marygold, one of the goats, as she is super clever & if you don't close their food shed door properly, she's very capable of loosening the bolt with a combo of head butting and nimble teeth! 🐐We found making sure the bolt was facing downwards & a small piece of wood in the slot, foiled her plans to get seconds 😉
The house is situated in a lovely area between Swindon & Oxford. Country vibes but with easy access to the main road & local supermarkets nearby in Faringdon. Also, a set of white chalk horses are nearby to visit. The little village across the road is very pretty, nice for a short walk. There is a pub but check opening times, it was closed when we visited but has good reviews for food. All in all, a nice sit to do.

We had a lovely stay in JP & Zoya’s beautiful home while looking after their Chow Chow, Rum. We were made to feel right at home in their space we we appreciated so much. Rum was full of character which made him a breeze to look after during our stay. Thanks again 😊

Roz
I really enjoyed my stay at Roz’s with Christoff & Cleo. It was a lovely long weekend break, and Ware is the perfect location between countryside and city. I really enjoyed the Saturday morning canal walk & even managed to squeeze a few hours in East London (25 mins by train).

Christoff and Cleo are both lovely characters - Cleo a dinky chatty sweetheart who loves a cuddle, whilst Christoff is a real snoozer and gentle giant. Both of them were happy for some company but very chilled at the same time.

Ware is a great town and the flat is in a brilliant location, just 5 mins from the high street with lots of cute trinket shops and places to get a decent coffee. A good sized Tesco is a 3 min walk, and lots of restaurants and pubs round the corner too.

The flat is a lovely little sanctuary that’s beautifully decorated with a real uniqueness and cosy-feel to it. Roz was friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with, providing all necessary info upfront & checking in when needed. Thank you for having me and providing a lovely few days of downtime!

We had a fantastic stay at Diane and Trevor's place! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. They are amazing communicators, keeping us well-informed about their furry family's needs, as well as the best hikes, restaurants, and shops in the area. Their home is beautifully nestled next to the forest, perfect for stunning walks with Frankie and Mable, their wonderful dogs. These pups are such a joy—loving cuddles, playtime, and cozying up by the fire after a rainy walk. And then there's Dave, the sweet cat who enjoyed a little pet while munching on her food. The whole experience was so comfortable and lovely. We truly felt right at home and would absolutely love to pet/house sit for them again in the future! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and friendly place to pet/house sit.

Michelle
Had a wonderful time house sitting for Leo. Such a cute, fun little guy who loves his walks and was playful and enjoyed snuggling too. Michelle's home is so beautiful, quiet, and comfortable and she was very clear about everything that needed to happen. Highly recommend this sit if you ever get the chance! Super fun!

Lisa
Lisa’s home offers endless views of the ocean as do the many trails that run through Pacifica. Loki is an excellent hiking companion, and we ventured up and down the trails – I highly recommend the Baquiano Trail with the trailhead a short 4-minute drive from the house – and then rested at home. I was lucky enough to see dolphins, the waterspouts of whales, and the daily early evening gathering of pelicans! Cleo is sweet and spunky and will leave her toy for you in different places while Meggie lives her best elder cat life sleeping in her heated cat bed.
