Our spirited Havanese is high maintenance when he is not with us. My sister usually provides pupcare when we are out of town due to his extreme anxiety and the need for a special diet/medication while in pupcare. My dad passed away unexpectedly, and my sister, family, and I headed out of town fast. Comfort Kennels for the win. I knew from previous experience that they are top notch. It was so nice to be able to step away for the arrangements and know that Jasper was safe, well taken care of, and his diet/meds would be given as needed. We did our part to lay things out clearly and prepackage everything; this is what works for us, and Sally/Dan have never had an issue with the meds/food instructions. My best advice if you are considering taking a high maintenance pup to care is to prep as much as possible, include the directions on the intake form, and print a paper copy as well. Sally is wonderful. She takes great pictures of the pups. I felt relieved to leave Japer in Sally & Dan’s care at such a vulnerable time in our lives. Thank you Sally & Dan for your help during this emotional time. ♥️

Sally and Dan, the owners, are absolutely wonderful and incredibly accommodating whenever possible. They have wonderful personalities, are respectful communicators and will love on your pet. I give 4-stars because they do not offer baths/nail trims. However they are a blessing as a safe place for our pups!

Seemed perfect during acclimation visit and pre drop off. when returning the male owner was accusative, belittling, and defensive when asked about how everything went. will never return because of the level of disrespect and aggression over simple questions. EDIT: since pickup my dog has been so stressed he has had diarrhea for 3 days and a visit to the vet for meds. I wouldn't take anyone's pet here.

We take our dog to Dan and Sally 2 to 3 times per week. Our dog was not thriving in a normal daycare setting so the individual kennels and runs are perfect for her. Dan and Sally are very flexible with us as long as we let them know about changes in our schedule. I would do the same for a haircut or a business meeting so that is a non-issue for us. Each time we drop off our dog and pick her up her tail is wagging and she’s happy to see them.

I couldn’t believe the attitude I received when I called to ask some simple questions! Customer service and care go a LONG way for me. I’m happy that others love this place for their dogs, and I’m sure they do their best to care for these dogs, but as a potential customer who dearly loves my pet I require some reassurance about where my dog is staying for multiple days. Sounds fair, right? I’ve never even had my dog stay in a kennel, so I was unaware of certain requirements and wanted someone to tell me what exactly is needed so I could do my part. The whole conversation made me feel stupid for having any questions at all! I thought a few questions would be fine, but I was only met with rudeness and impatience. One question I asked was about who takes care of the dogs and how they get taken care of on a daily basis. I just wondered how they get it all done! They answered, “why is that important to you?” What in the world?! Once again, I’m glad you guys are successful, but geez. Some kindness will make you guys soar.

Only reason they get a star is because the woman was very nice, and they returned him to me off site. They returned him soaked in his own urine wich I was not particularly impressed with... my dog looked like he couldn't be more excited to get away from the man dropping him off... also he was quite ill 2 days following... I can't imply he was mistreated because he's a bit of a nut with a fairly weak tummy, but why leave him soaked in pee? Everything about the property seems super secluded and out of the way behind a huge wooden fence... you can't see anything as far as dog's conditions from where you drop off. My dog will not be returning.

We have been taking our furbabies to Dan and Sally for years. Our pups get super excited everytime we pull up to the facility. I don’t know what I would do without them! Convenient drop off and pick up location off I-70 on our way to and from the Indianapolis Airport.

My boys have stayed with Sally and Dan for four years. The standard of care exceeds any I have experienced at any other kennel. My boys are senior rescue dogs who are very slow to trust others. Both have accepted Sally and Dan. Dogs know people! The kennels are spacious and the deluxe kennels are out of this world. I love that there are sky lights throughout the kennel so there is natural light. The temperatures are well maintained and my dogs are always comfortable with heat in the winter and air conditioning during the summer. When it’s not too hot or too cold my dogs love hanging out in the huge run attached to their kennel. And all dogs love the play yards. And I love to see my boys photos on Facebook. Thankful that Sally and Dan care so much to offer this kindness. And talk about customer service — when I recently talked with them about my knee replacement surgery they saved space should the dogs be too much for me to manage once I was on my own at home. Dan even offered to come to my house and pick them up should I be overwhelmed. Fortunately I did not need to use this service but was comforted in Sally and Dan’s kindness. Great people who care for every dog as if were one of their own.

I have two Himalayan Furr Babies, brother and sister, who are 18 years old. Cody has special daily medical needs where he requires inhaler treatments, ear and oral medications. Sophie also requires medical treatment via ear. I have a regular sitter but she was unavailable for an upcoming trip. I scoured google and came across Northside Pet Services. Based on the reviews I reached out to secure services. I was extremely impressed with the prompt response and assurance they could take care of my special needs babes. Upon securing their services, Sherri (owner) and Nancy (Pet Caregiver) came to my home for a visit prior to my trip. They spent over an hour getting to know me and my babes and their routine. Much to my surprise, the services also included watering my plants!!!! These are truly genuine people who care for animals and will treat yours as if their own. I really appreciated the daily status text and pictures they sent! If you are in need of pet care, I highly recommend this team!

First class integrity! While searching for pet care for my parents two elderly dogs, one of whom had recently developed a back injury, Northside Pet Services stood out as exuding the trust, integrity, and experience we were looking for, so I called and left a message. The owner promptly returned my call to regretfully inform me that the dogs lived out of her service range, then took the time to provide some information on how and where to refine my search to find qualified sitters. She then went even further and took the time to search her network, later sending me information for a couple contacts who provided service in our area. Through one of those contacts, we were able to find someone who lives close and perfectly fits the dogs' needs. This is obviously someone who puts the health of pets first and foremost! I would have complete confidence in Sherri and her sitters and only wish the dogs lived close enough to utilize them.

Northside Pet Services has been a wonderful care team for our furry family members when we are out of town. As our one dog has progressed in age, it has become too stressful for her to be boarded at traditional facilities, and finding Northside Pet Services to provide care in our home while we are away, has been a dream. It is obvious that the owner and her team care deeply for our pets, and always have our pets' best interest at the top of everything they do. Most recently we were out of town for 21 days and Northside Pets provided top quality care 3 times per day the entire length of our time away, and we did not worry once. They provided frequent check-ins and updates to us and when we returned home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Not only does Northside care for the dogs, but they also bring in our mail, feed the fish and frog, water our indoor plants, and they kept 25 pots of impatiens flourishing during a period of no rain.... all for no extra charge. I highly recommend Northside Pet Services and look forward to using them in the future.

I am so grateful to find this business. Our first consultation was perfect and helped ease my mind so much. We have a diabetic cat that needs extra tlc which has made getting away difficult for myself and my husband. Nancy was wonderful about communicating and she knew exactly how to handle each of our cats needs. Wow!! Finding Sherri and her team has been the best gift of 2023! Nancy has a way with our "socially selective" Cocker Spaniel - and we love the updates she provides after her visits. It really gives us peace of mind when we are out and about that they are looking in on Chewy!

I have been using Northside Pet services for my dogs since 2014. They are exceptional. My dogs are treated like part of the family and Sherri has become a dear friend. All sitters and walkers are loyal, trustworthy, and caring. I never have a worry when traveling and my dogs are in their care. I highly recommend for your pet sitting and walking needs.

I am really happy that I found Northside Pet Services. We have an older cat who is a bit persnickety and on multiple meds so we have to be a bit pickier about who we get to watch our cat. During our initial meet-up, Sherri proved to be very informed on our cat's course of treatment and even suggested a couple of additional things we could do to help her condition. It is a real comfort to know that she really knows what she's doing and could easily pick up on any worrisome signs while we are away.
