Brad and I enjoyed caring for Slushie and Pepper last week. Both are easy keepers. Walking Pepper in the neighborhood was very enjoyable with the beautiful August weather in Chicago. He was interested in what we were doing whether we was dining in the lovely backyard or reading a book. He slept peacefully every night in the son’s bedroom from 9PM-6:30AM. Slushie, our first bird to pet sit, was a sweet cheerful bird giving us a happy morning song when we came downstairs. There was a place right outside daily in the backyard where we would put Slushie in his cage to sing with the outside birds. While at this pet sit, we enjoyed walks in the neighborhood, to city markets, to restaurants, and trails along the river. We also drove just 15 minutes to Lake Michigan. You would not run out of things to do here in Chicago. And if you just want to relax, read or work remotely and pet a loving dog, this is a wonderful pet sit for that as well.
My housesit in Bath was an absolute dream, thanks to the wonderful experience provided by Siobhán, Lise, and their delightful pooch, Finnbar. Right from the start, Siobhán and Lise's warm welcome set the tone for an exceptional stay. They went above and beyond, ensuring I had everything I needed, even picking me up from the station. Their beautiful, modern home spanning four floors was a sanctuary of comfort and tranquility. The peaceful bedroom facing the back of the house ensured restful nights on an incredibly comfy bed. Bath itself is a gem of a town, filled with charm and character. Exploring its picturesque streets, vibrant shops, and inviting cafes was an absolute pleasure. But the highlight? Finnbar, the sweetest canine companion one could ask for. His excellent recall and gentle demeanour made every walk an adventure. Back at the house, his relaxed nature and quiet nights made for an effortless cohabitation. In summary, this housesit was nothing short of a 5-star experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort, companionship, and charm in the heart of Bath.
It was such a pleasure to house sit for Melissa. Her home is lovely, located near the interstate, and in a safe neighborhood. It was nice to just sit outside on the porch. If the park wasn’t busy, it is actually a quite area. Odie is so well behaved. He was a joy to walk. The cats liked to stay outside the majority of the time. Though Anna will come in overnight. There are neighbors right beside you in the duplex. I had met them, very nice people. I would housesit again. I miss Odie!
Dog sitting Skye was the best experience I could have asked for! She was a dream dog, so sweet, and very easy to handle. Also so cute!! Aleks was also a great host providing everything we needed before we could even ask. She was super communicative and very kind. The location of the sit is also in the perfect location being very central in Geneva while still in a very quiet area with so many parks to explore. If I could sit Skye again, I would 100% jump on the opportunity!
Dolly and Frank the puppy were super cute, well mannered and absolutely fun to look after. They’re really good, both outdoors and at the end of the day when its time to chill out. Moo and Louis the cats are independent but sweet and will come when they need a rub or food. The chickens too are cute, have distinct personalities and will gather around when you put some of their fave seed treats. The pets all wander freely in the garden and get on well which is really nice to be around! There are good walks in the fields around the house and both the dogs are good at keeping an eye on you and playing well. They’ll walk as much as you fancy. Frank especially for being a puppy is smart and obedient and it was a thrill to take care of him. Laura’s home is comfortable and spacious and this was a lovely group to pet sit. Thank you!
Sancho was a joy to look after, he is such a lovely dog. The house was warm and welcoming with lovely walks on the doorstep. Communication with our hosts was first class. A thoroughly successful sit. We would love to return in the future.
