An amazing sit with Lucy and Katty! Lucy is a super sweet pup—we had a great time on walks exploring the neighborhood, running the Monarch Connector Trail, and playing ball in the backyard. Katty is a cuddler and just wants to sit in your lap in the evenings by the fireplace and knead your belly. Jill and Mike were perfect hosts. Pre-sit communication was great and and instructions for the crew and house were comprehensive. Their home is beautifully appointed and super comfy—if you cook you'll want for naught in the kitchen. And the location is perfect: a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a quick drive or short walk into town. Couldn't have asked for a better sit. Hope to come back and see L & K sometime soon.
Our two month stay at Rainbow Cottage was lovely. The house has great views of the countryside, sitting below a quiet lane, with access to lots of walks from the back door. The house is a 20 minute walk from the railway station at Colwall, but a car is useful for shopping in nearby Malvern or Ledbury. The garden is well established and as our stay was mid summer there were some lawn mowing and watering duties, as well as some extra gardening that wasn't required but was a pleasure to do. Alan had a meal ready upon our arrival and gave us all the info we needed, and even took us on a short walk with The Boys, Charlie and Sherpa, two lovely, friendly and adorable old Labradors who are very easy to look after; two 40 minute walks a day for both and sometimes an extra afternoon walk for the younger Sherpa. They are also happy to be left for three or four hours if you want to go exploring further afield. The chickens were also very easy, with automatic water and an electric fence for protection, all we had to do was feed and collect the eggs daily. We'll happily return in the future and highly recommend this sit for anyone with a car who's looking for great views in a quiet location.
Amy was very communicative and informative! She stayed late to help show us everything around the house and introduce our dog to Skipper and Trooper. The house is lovely and set up very well. We spent so much time out on her screened in porch with the pups! Thomasville is also an awesome little town, we had a blast. Would highly recommend this sit!
It was a really nice and well-organized house and pet sit with Chewie. It is great to have a sunny place in Malahide. Short ways to all you need, awesome restaurants, and the large Malahide park for walks with Chewie. Trains and busses 5 min. away for a ride to Dublin. Chewie was easy to handle even though he is not a small pet. But is OK on the lead and addicted to his tennis balls. The contact with Holly and her family was very good. If you want to be in a wonderful place and you are not afraid of a large dog, that is your chance.
we had a delightful stay at Sam and Ami's beautiful home in Berkeley. Pie-the-cat greeted us immediately and is one of the most affectionate cats we have met. Arlo warmed to us right-off and was a warm greeter every time. He's a very strong dog and likes to pull on occasion on walks. He reallllly likes to play tug. The house is on a great, quiet street, easily walkable to downtown Berkeley. Trader Joes is close by, as are Berkeley musical and theatre attractions. We received a thoughtful gift on arrival. Highly recommended.
