I would leave 10 thumbs up if that was possible! Beth Ann could not have been more warm and welcoming. She provided excellent instructions on caring for her home and her beautiful golden Lily! Caring for Lily was a dream… she loves her outings to the beach and will take the lead on touring you through the neighborhood. She is mellow and very affectionate; she enjoys sitting out on the patio in between outings.
Petsitting at Samantha 's house was a real pleasure! Her and her husband are both very welcoming people and easy to talk to. We felt really great in their presence and in their home. The house is very comfortable and pleasant to stay in. Cleo is an adorable cat and is very easy to take care of. She is very affectionate and bonds well with everyone. We are very thankful for this experience and we would definitely recommend it!
I enjoyed this sit very much. Paprika and Kali were great company. They are sweet and affectionate and like human contact, especially Paprika, who enjoys being around you. Kali is more independent and loves to spend her time outdoors. She likes to wake early and come and say hello. The room and flat are spacious and airy, with a balcony and lush communal gardens in a really pleasant setting. I enjoyed walking - and cycling - around the neighborhood, with its calm, green, pedestrian-friendly vibe - low traffic, lots of cycling, next to woods. University buildings and hospital. Minutes' walk to supermarkets, bus stop, cafés, bakery, 10 minutes' walk to the centre and beautiful Bern... Striking grey/green buildings, colonnades, majestic architecture, breath-taking bridges and views, turquoise river, great shops, low traffic, low pollution (trams, electric buses, bikes..). Wonderful place. Yvonne is a great character; lots of chat and interests. She and her family were friendly and accommodating towards me. I joined them on a trip to their mountain chalet and her son dropped me off at picturesque Thun one day. Yvonne kindly let me stay on longer before heading off to my next catsit.
I really enjoyed staying with Bub at Patty and Bruce’s house. Bub is a friendly cat who likes to quietly make his presence known. I highly recommend Patty and Bruce’s house as a welcoming and comfortable place to sit.
I had a great stay with Aly’s two cats and a dog. They’re absolutely adorable. It was such a joy to walk Casino — she would brighten up anyone’s grey day. Be ready to receive heaps of unapologetic love from this pet fam!
What an incredible sit! We could not have had a lovelier time at Rita’s scenic country haven. Welcomed with a gorgeous meal and wonderful evening of conversation, we felt we had come to visit an old friend. Rita is kind, generous and easy going - keen to ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need to enjoy your time here. Communication was great, always a quick message away. We even had the added pleasure of meeting her assistant who is just as delightful and helpful as Rita. Not to mention a wealth of local knowledge! A couple of her suggestions made for truly memorable experiences during our stay. The peace and solitude abound here. But a 15min drive will have you in stunning medieval towns, shopping for groceries or in a nearby restaurant - loads to easily explore with a car. Sweet Sophie, we adored her. Eight months old during our sit, a silly puppy still learning constantly. She has her quirks - like shadow chasing, a serious sport for her. She will entertain herself outside for hours but loves a cuddle on the couch once most of her energy is spent. Shy around new people, she warms up quickly. She’s great in the car and did so well coming to town to meet new people and pups at the weekend market. Biggie and Tiny are living their best lives in the country. Biggie was usually cuddled up on the back porch, making the most of sunny days and loves to receive some love! He is a very sweet cat. Tiny roams free almost constantly and is a rare site but occasionally spotted lurking in the fields or on the porch late at night. We dearly hope to return to Jackryn and are so grateful to have been connected on THS.
