This is a TEN-STAR SIT! We are still so happy that Dionne and Mikal chose us to housesit for them for our very first Christmas sit. Dionne even brought up all their Christmas decorations and tree ornaments for us to use, some she hadn’t even used yet, had enough stockings for all of us and gave us all the place settings we’d need for Christmas dinner. We had the tree stand and directions to their local Christmas tree farm where we could pick our own Christmas tree. Trees always looks smaller outside but fortunately, their Christmas tree room was plenty large for it and we had the most magical Christmas in their home, cooking in their beautiful kitchen with everything you could possibly need and more, with music throughout the house. Their house is spacious, beautifully updated and fun to explore (the deck on top of the roof was a great place to watch fireworks, enjoy the river view, enjoy hot drinks at night and stargaze and watch sunsets). They made us feel very welcome and their board game collection was one of our favourite things to explore during our stay. We did not get through a fraction of them but had a lot of fun trying. We recommend Tokyo Highway and Telestrations for fun and easy, and if you enjoy a challenge with strategy, make sure you try Scythe, Teleforming Mars, and Wingspan—I only wish we had gotten to try more. Everything was wonderful already but if that wasn’t enough, you get to share the house Hemlock and Five, two of the most gorgeous cats we’ve met. Five stays shy but we loved it when we broke through and she started hanging out with us and rubbed against our legs (my dad still feels special because she liked him the most). Hemlock is a shameless cuddler, foodie, and loves to play. The chickens are easy to care for AND they gift you with fresh eggs during your stay. Catskill is a fun town with some cool history and has a very cool downtown to explore and is only a short walk from the house. Dionne and Mikal went above and beyond as hosts to make us feel welcome and stayed in touch throughout our stay. They are amazing humans and their animals are a pleasure to hang out with. Don’t hesitate to apply. They are now officially part of our family Christmas memories :)
Wonderful family and lovely pets!!! I enjoyed my stay with Noa and the kitties so much! Noa is fun sweet natured dog. Whether you decide to stroll into town with coffee stop, watch movie or go for a hike he will always happily be at your side. What a joyful company he is! I'm grateful to Melina and Marc for sharing their home and their pets with me. Merci beaucoup. :)
House/pet sitting for Anna was great! Posy the cat is a really sweet cat who pretty much runs like clockwork in terms of feeding and daily engagement. Posy seems to love the outdoors but also enjoyed cuddling up and attention from time to time. The house is a bright spacious place in leafy South London and is close to everything you could need (shops, cafe's etc) plus perfectly placed between Clapham and Wandsworth commons. Good communication from Anna helped this to be an all round excellent housesit and would recommend to anyone.
This was the most wonderful sit I ever had! Megan, Bruce, and their two girls, Ally and Gracie, welcomed me to their home with open arms. What a loving, happy, amazing family! I really enjoyed getting to know them and their sweet dogs, Thandi and Daisy! It really felt like I was visiting old friends. Bruce cooked a delicious dinner on a grill on my first night there. It was so fun! Megan and Bruce made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed during my long stay. We were in close touch, even though they were in South Africa. And I had a fabulous time! The dogs are awesome and very playful, and want to chase the ball all day long. They love hanging in the backyard and going to their favorite meadow that’s literally 5-minute walk from the house. Megan and Bruce have a beautiful house with magnificent view of the hills. It’s so peaceful there. Exploring Belmont and all the areas around was such a treat. I went to Filoli, which is an incredible historic place, and loved my trips to Half Moon Bay and San Mateo, especially the Coyote Point. I really miss my time there and miss playing with Thandi and Daisy, these two creatures are the best! Thank you so much, Megan and Bruce, for such a great opportunity!
I very much enjoyed my stay in Clapham looking after Kimi. He is a very affectionate cat who loves company and someone to sit with him and play with him. The flat is very conveniently located. There is everything you need in the local area and it is a quick and easy journey by public transport into Central London. I can really recommend this sit.
We had a wonderful time staying in Zani and Dieters' lovely apartment in the centre of Rotterdam. We enjoyed the local film festival and being so central near all the shops and restaurants with some delicious vegan options! Zani and Dieter were really nice and showed us around before we came to sit and gave clear instructions and were really laidback. But of course, most of all, we had a great time with their two furry chonks, Scout the Stout and Atticus the Catticus! They were so cute and well behaved and easy to take care of. Scout is the absolute queen of biscuitmaking on top of you or next to you (although I spied Atti doing it in his catbed a few times too). When Atticus relaxed enough around us he started splaying out on the floor or on our laps showing off his belly. We loved being greeted by the kitties at the door, too! We are missing them already.... Thank you Dieter and Zani for everything and we hope your next home will be even lovelier! 🌷
