I loved meeting Josie, Ken and Casey, Marvin, Binx, Penelope, and Lucy – what an amazing bunch! Josie & Ken gave me the warmest welcome with a lovely dinner and warm conversation. I was very comfortable in their wonderful home. Despite being a larger pet crew, this was an easy bunch to care for with easy going personalities and sweet dispositions. I had a great time during my stay and absolutely recommend!
Luis and Fanny are gracious hosts and their comfortable flat is in a great location with hikes in the forest all around. It even has a view of a football pitch which was fun to watch from up high. Hikari is a sweet, sweet cat who likes her cuddles and her snacks. The fluffiness of her and her ear tufts! She is gorgeous. It was a great sit and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Janet and Rob made us feel most welcome on arrival. They were easy going and very friendly and a pleasure to meet. Communication was excellent from the initial phone conversation to the handover on their return home. The Welcome Guide and information folder covered all necessary details for sitters and Janet had also put together a comprehensive folder of maps and things to do in the area which we appreciated. Their home was very comfortable, well presented and clean, with all modern conveniences, and there was an undercover outside area at the back which we enjoyed using. Libby and I had such a great time with Raffie, their spoodle. He's one very special dog and we fell in love with him. He was gentle, loving, intelligent and so well behaved. Raffie loved his daily walks around the nearby wetlands area or the river walk and took very little notice of other dogs. His ball-catching skills were amazing as was the lead-up to the catch! Lola, although elderly, was in good health. She slept much of the time as expected of her age but loved a lap to curl up on in the evenings and a cuddle and brush during the day. Libby and I thoroughly enjoyed this sit looking after these very special pets for Janet and Rob. We highly recommend it to other sitters and would be only too happy to care for and love Raffie and Lola again.
Was such a pleasure looking after Kummel and Bertie. Kummel is endlessly enthusiastic and very, very sweet. Bertie is such a character and loves to jump up into your lap and snuggle in for the evening. The house was warm and cosy, perfect to come back to after long walks in the countryside. There's views for miles around from the hills and fields surrounding the house, which you share with cows, pheasants, deer and assorted other wildlife, but you rarely come across any other people. Bliss. Glasgow is only half an hour away though, an easy trip by car or train. Dominique and David couldn't have been more hospitable and accommodating. Hope I can come back and sit again - this has been one of my favourites.
We had the incredible opportunity to care for Chewy, an adorable Shih Tzu, during a delightful nine-day pet sitting exchange in the beautiful city of Valencia, Spain. Our hosts, Abel and Howard, made this experience truly extraordinary. From the moment we set foot in Valencia, we were captivated by its breathtaking beauty. Yet, it was Chewy who added an extra layer of charm to our stay. His daily routine, including morning and afternoon walks, became cherished moments for both of us. The long evening strolls allowed us to explore this magnificent city in the company of our furry friend. Abel and Howard were exceptional hosts. They left no stone unturned, providing us with a comprehensive welcome guide that covered every detail. Whether it was administering Chewy's medication, feeding the fish, or tending to the plants, their instructions were clear and thoughtful. What we enjoyed most about this experience was not only the city's vibrant life but also the warmth and hospitality of the people of Valencia. Chewy, with his adorable presence, quickly became our beloved companion during our adventure. There were countless memorable moments, but the nights when Chewy snuggled up with us were truly heartwarming. His affection and joy in our company created everlasting memories. Communication with Abel and Howard was effortless through WhatsApp, and they were always just a message away if we needed anything. They provided special instructions for Chewy's grooming routine and eye care, and Chewy, being the good boy he is, cooperated beautifully. Abel and Howard's home exceeded our expectations, boasting one of the most mesmerizing views we've ever witnessed. Waking up to the cityscape and the sparkling lights at night was nothing short of magical, a memory we will forever cherish. In summary, our pet sitting exchange through Trusted House Sitters was an unforgettable journey for both of us. Chewy, Abel, and Howard transformed it into more than just a pet-sitting experience; it was a delightful adventure in a beautiful city, filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. Thanks again to Chewy, Abel, and Howard for such a truly memorable experience..We hope to see you again soon! 💛
Dean met us upon our arrival (Erica was away). He was a warm, friendly, and informative host. They both were excellent communicators and answered my text questions very quickly while they were gone. The three kitties were delightful to care for and play/snuggle with. Some needed some specific care (pills, supplements in food), and sometimes they wouldn't accept the pills, but it wasn't problematic, and they weren't grumpy about it. Dora was skittish at first, but she warmed up after a bit. I personally fell in love with Piggle, but truly, all three are so lovable (plus they have fun names!) The house is comfortable, cozy, charming, whimsical. The kitchen is well-stocked. There is a peekaboo view of the ocean, and you can take a short walk to the lighthouse, ocean, and a few short trails. We did that often, and it was really lovely. It's a quick drive to town if you need provisions. Overall, we loved staying at Erica and Dean's house. Do it if you can!
