Pet Sitters in Poindexters, VA

Diana was a great to have on our farm. Perhaps her nursing background gave her the tools to problem solve quickly and efficiently, but handling a 400 acre farm with animals is no easy feat. She did all of this with the utmost care and concern, while navigating the quirks of our 18th century farmhouse with a plumbing project ongoing. She administered our 4 dogs monthly medicines, kept track of the 2 cats and the barn cats, and basically enabled the pets to fall in love with her. She kept out pool and jacuzzi balanced, watered our plants in both greenhouses and around our home, and then left our home neater and cleaner than when we left. She was a gem and I would love to have her house sit anytime, I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Molly and Rick were wonderful with our sweeties, and great communicators. I also appreciate the efforts that they made to keep the apartment clean, including the sheets and towels so I won't have to add this to my plate when coming back from the weekend with three teens.

This was our first experience of sharing our home and labrador with house sitters, and we were a little nervous about being on the other side of the world for three whole weeks. We needn’t have worried. Madelyn and Graydon were super organised and we had excellent communication before and during the stay. Frequent updates on Molly who was clearly happy to have found some younger playmates and thrived, I think she is missing them already. At my request they arrived a day early so we could do a proper hand-over and they were great guests for this time. House was spotless and they left a detailed report of their experiences with the house and Molly which were very helpful as a hand-back. We would jump at the chance of having them here again if they are available.

Dianne and Kevin exceeded my expectations! Even before arriving, I was able to check in with Dianne about my dog's schedule and medication/supplement routine. She was very receptive and understanding. During their stay, my dog was well taken care of, and they kept helpful notes. Dianne was available and communicative when I reached out. Upon my return, my place looked as clean as it did when I left. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended!

We cannot say enough good things about Annemarie and her care of our dog and home. She knows Roo from a prior sit, so within minutes they were best friends again. She kept in touch with us regularly and sent photos of Roo which we loved. He is very stubborn about not eating when we are gone, so she tried different things with our suggestions and permission. Annemarie took excellent care of our home and plants, both inside and out. She even had muffins for our breakfast the morning after we got home! Annemarie is great about handling whatever comes her way. She has emergency numbers, of course, but she has never had to use them thankfully. We will happily have her care for Roo whenever we go away. We know he is in excellent hands.

Mimi is the best of the best. She is a perfect communicator, extremely responsible, extremely friendly, and interesting. We would have her sit again for us any time. She had to trouble shoot a flooding situation in our basement and it didn't faze her at all. It was a long stay and by the end, I wished we had met in person since I now consider her to be a prospective friend. Excellence all around.

Dawn was great! She took very good care of Harley and left everything clean and as she found it when she arrived. She also kept me up to speed on how Harley was all weekend. I would highly recommend her as a sitter.

Sabrina and Caroline were wonderful. They were very concerned for the welfare of my pond and fish. There was an issue with my pond and Sabrina took care of handling the situation to my satisfaction. They are both delightful and I felt that if anything came up, they would be able to handle it and keep me informed.

I never have a shortage of good things to say about Tabitha. We were ghosted by another zeewoi member a week before we were leaving for a 2 week international trip. Tabitha stepped in with very short notice and as always, was a dream. She is reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about making sure your babies feel safe and loved and cared for. She sends picture updates and puts any concerns of yours at ease. I always come home to a sparkling clean house and clean sheets and towels. We are grateful for her and everything she’s done.

Skyla kept me up to date on my pets care while I was away. I returned to a clean and tidy home. Great all around!
