Jean and Todd are reliable and trustworthy house and pet sitters. We enjoyed getting to know them the night before our trip, and we were happy to see that our dogs were very comfortable with them before we left. They took great care of Rosco and Daisy and even took them on an adventure to Red Rocks Park. The pups were happy and healthy when we returned, and our home was just as clean as we left it. We had clean sheets and towels and even fresh flowers upon our return. Jean and Todd are welcome back any time!
Michelle was a delightful house and pet sitter. She was very clean, organized, friendly, communicative, proactive, and clearly put thought and attention into details. We got to meet at the start of the sit and she even brought a unique gift from her home town. I really appreciate all of the attention she paid to Peach and the pictures sent throughout the trip. I had a great time with Fennel and Saffron. They were a bit shy at first but soon became affectionate and playful. The house is situated in a very peaceful part of town. I truly enjoyed my time here! Dirk and Erna were quick to answer any question I had. Recommended sit!
I stayed at Miriam’s place for few days, but before that I did dog walking with little Kali (the pug) for almost a month! Her apartment is well located (walking distance to the Quay, shops and lots of restaurants) bus stop and sea bus. The views from her place are stunning! I has so much fun with Kali and Sami, they both have their own personalities, and they both like to cuddle, they are for sure great company! Thanks Miriam for trust me with your fur babies and your home, it was a good time and would love to visit again :)
Our first time visiting Vegas was a joy with these 3 little doggies! Loving, affectionate and sweet! All 3 were very well behaved and easy going. Nice home in the suburbs and close to healthy food shopping! Thanks again!
I really enjoyed my sit The dog,Chica, I took care of was beautiful, she was so well behaved and I really enjoyed my time with her. As we walked everyday and she led me to where she wanted to walk a and she was very well-behaved, onmy ladt day woth her, ahe seem to know it was my last day, I guess she really liked me cause she actually jumped in my bed as she saw me about to go to sleep and put her leg on my leg and went to sleep . It was an excellent experience the owner of the dog that I took care of was very gracious and I really enjoyed my time.
We loved being able to spend the weekend with Sting and Juniper! They both have big personalities, a hilarious dynamic together, and are so easy to care for. Mika and Nic also have a beautiful home in such a fun and convenient neighbourhood, and we really enjoyed spending a summer weekend there. Mika is also very responsive, kind, and made the time to show us around their home to make sure we had all the information on how to care for Sting and Juniper. We hope to be back sometime soon!
Our house sit/pet sit at Jan and Jimmy's was delightful. They greeted us with a warm welcome and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. Harry, one of their dogs, was the chief greeter and was very happy to have us pet him without reservation even though we were strangers. The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the sun porch. All six of us (two humans, and our four new furry friends) spent many hours huddling close to each other and feeling like one happy family. We were amazed at how comfortable and relaxed all of their pets seemed to be even though they didn't know us. Jan and Jimmy are warm, real, and down to earth people. We enjoyed getting to meet them immensely.

My mini Schnauzer has been going to day care (and also vacationing there while I’m away), for over 1.5 years now. I highly recommend this loving family to take care of your fur baby. Croi absolutely loves it there, he gets super excited when we reach the house as he knows it will be a fun day with lots of exercise, play time and attention. I also get daily photos and videos of him on walks and playing with other dogs, which makes me so happy. They really are his other family and I’ve saved one contact as Mama Croi in my phone, so much love and affection! I just let them know my ETA for drop off and pick up so he’s all ready to go, so easy with excellent communication!
My dog is not the easiest dog to have around but Alex and his family have looked after my boy extremely well. They were kind enough to sent me photos daily of the awesome walks they went on. 10/10 thank you so much.

I can highly recommend this daycare. I have been sending my miniature schnauzer Dora to Alina & Alex since she was a puppy. It's like her second family and Dora really loves them. Plus their Golden retriever Barron was the best baby sitter to Dora when she was a pup. I 100% trust them as they take such great care of her, she is always loved on and protected. I wouldn't just leave her with anyone but I know I can go to work or go away and she will be in the best caring hands. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. Dora is always so happy to see them because they have such big hearts and are such a lovely family.
Gucci has stayed with Alina and Alex since he was a puppy. They are wonderful people! They always fit gucci in at the last minute! Gucci loves them and their lovely dog! They send daily photos and videos. Very responsive, trustworthy and a Lovely family! Gucci always has the best time!!

Alex’s brother Igor was a wonderful dog sitter and helped us tremendously with our dog Balloon. Even though they are located in Auckland he was happy to travel and stay in our house in Jacks Point, Queenstown. He sent us daily updates and was taking our a bit naughty puppy for a walk sometimes 6 times a day 😅 Will definitely use him in future 🥰
I have loved working at Pets and Pats. It's heartwarming to work with such adorable little dogs, you create an amazing bond by spending so much time with them. I stopped working a week ago and missed them every day. Another plus is the staff I have met in the 6 months I have worked here, caring people who are always willing to help and lend a hand when you need it, especially if you are from abroad. I made some great friends from all over the world who I will miss very much and would love to see again if this trip brings me back to Auckland.
Absolutely love the friendly team at Pets and Pat! My little pup, Romeo, has been going there for over a year, and he always looks forward to the PupBus coming by in the morning. Working in Pets and Pats made me feel very grateful, first because I was able to spend so much time with so many doggies, and second because gave me the opportunity to make very good friends while working with the staff members. Also it was very rewarding to see the excitement in the puppies every morning when I had to pick them up, but also see the happiness when they were reunited with the parents in the afternoon.
Pets and Pats are just wonderful! My little Cleo has been going to the farm since she was six months old so the better part of 2 years - we had tried a couple of other daycares before settling for Pets and Pats - They have given Cleo so much confidence, Ang and the team treat her as if she is one of their own but not just when she’s there - When Cleo has been off unwell they would check in on her and drop off care packages making not only her but also me feel cared for and supported. I always know she has the best time while she is there, when she is picked up she is always so excited to go does twirls and squeaks in excitement before bounding out the door and is so worn out when she comes home that she snuggles up on the couch - If your ever considering a daycare for you little fur baby absolutely can’t recommend P&P enough!
I cannot recommend Pets and Pats enough. Being first time fur parents, we care so much about our little Charlie and where he goes. Pets and Pats are constantly AMAZING to deal with. Charlie gets picked up by the "pup bus" which he waits at the door for in the mornings. He gets sooo excited when it arrives - that tells me everything I need to know. He absolutely loves going to the farm as he gets to run around with all his friends. We really like how they categorise dogs in size, age and energy levels so we know Charlie won't be bowled by bigger dogs or step on smaller ones accidentally. The whole team are friendly and really easy to communicate with. I have 100% trust in everyone involved and know Charlie is in safe hands from the moment that he gets picked up, to when he gets back home at the end of the day ❤️
We used Pets and Pats services for over 3 and half years for Mika - our now 4 year old Lagotto. Pets and Pats were very accommodating in that Mika wasn't spayed for the first 18 months, but was still allowed to attend (post a trial period) as long we kept her in at home for the time we was on heat. This pragmatic and professional approach was important to us as a working couple. For over 3 years - Pets and Pats never missed a pickup, and their communication and flexibility when life happened was top notch. They are a very reliable and dependable service.
Absolutely LOVE Pets & Pats Team. They have looked after my two girls for over a year now. The staff are so lovely and the bus drop off is so convenient. Our girls are knackered when they get home (both pointer x that need a lot of exercise!!) The grounds are a dogs paradise and the team absolutely love and care for all the dogs. Owner Ang is lovely and has helped us out when in a major pickle several times!! Our girls have also stayed over weekends many times. Any review which degrades the care or cleanliness of the dogs or property is absolutely rubbish. Our girls come home cleaner than when the left! The property is fully secure and wonderful. I have found no issues with communication with the team - in fact they put up with my slack communication so well. Highly Recommend x Thank you team we are so grateful for your care of our girls x
Pets and Pats is a home away from home for Lilli my wee dog who was welcomed into the family, and I mean into the family in all aspects. She slept with the other treasured dogs inside and the team was happy to accommodate her independent style. I have left Lilli with Pets and Pats since she was born and would not thinking of any other better place. The team care for her every need, food, rugs, grooming and cuddles. I know when I pick her up that she is healthy and happy. I searched for months visiting other places which do not match up to the wonder home with Pets and Pats. Security is big for me and I love that fences and places for all dogs of all sizes to run and play. Pets and Pats the best place ever!

Barkley Manor has been an absolute lifesaver for both of my dogs! My Cane Corso started attending their puppy program when she was just 8-12 weeks old, and she’s gone through every stage of their classes since then. The staff are so loving, attentive, and truly dedicated to the dogs in their care. My Cane Corso is completely besotted with them, and I trust them wholeheartedly. More recently, my English Pointer has joined, and he’s been settling in beautifully. The team has been incredibly supportive, especially with helping him establish boundaries (he’s quite the counter surfer!). They’ve been so patient and knowledgeable, and it’s made a world of difference. I couldn’t recommend Barkley Manor more—it’s by far one of my favorite places for my dogs. The love and care they provide are unmatched!
Barkley did such a great job with our doggy. He is a rescue dog who is quite anxious around others, so we were quite nervous dropping him off. However, the grooming team listened to our concerns and talked to us through the process. We were extremely transparent and let them know about him being incredibly protective of the both of us, so he will bite if you get too close when he is with us. However, without us he's completely harmless. They were extremely encouraging throughout our conversations which left us feeling a lot better and made sure to ask different questions about the grooming so we could both be on the same page, and Shacky could be comfortable. After his groom, we were incredibly pleased to hear that he was fine around other dogs and even gave them loads of kisses. Although they needed two people to cut nails ( sorry grooming team!) They remained positive and truthful about the groom, which we appreciated. He also came out super calm and relaxed! With other groomers, he always came out shaking, sparking concern. Thankyou once again Barkley!
Pickle has attended daycare at Barkley for over a year now after graduating from the puppy school. We were taught the skills we needed to best support our pup from the start and had the support to discuss specifics we needed help with. We adored hearing about her friends and seeing photos from her day on the facebook page. Pickle LOVES daycare and her aunties and even when we started working from home we kept a regular booking as a treat day for her. She loves the show too and seeing her friend Bartok helping yet another rescue. Thanks Barkley!
I have taken dogs through puppy training and the advanced course on mastering life. Barkley Manor have excellent trainers that work well together to manage the training sessions. They demonstrate techniques and explain what is going on to give you an understanding of how to effectively train and manage your dog. I was also impressed with their ability to problem solve, suggesting ideas and helpful tips for particular issues that anyone in the class was having difficulty with.
Amazing doggy daycare. The staff are friendly, caring and know most of the dogs (even if you only come once/week). They separate the big and small dogs which is reassuring. My dog is always super excited when we arrive and tuckered out when he leaves.

Our lil Franklyn attended Barkley Manors puppy pre school when he was teeny tiny just over 2 years ago and has regularly attended daycare on a fortnightly basis since and absolutely loves it. The team who look after him do such a great job in playing with him and sharing the cutest photos and videos of him having the best time. Special thank you to Jenny who is amazing and had Franklyn for overnight stays last year and took care of him and sent us regular updates and also special thank you to Mayzie who has given Franklyn lots of care and attention for his grooms, he can sometimes get a lil overwhelmed and she takes the time to make sure he’s as calm as possible and always messages to let us know how he gets on. This goes such a long way and is very much appreciated.
Me and my puppy had a puppy class here, paid $300 for 5 sessions. I missed one session coz we had house settlement on that day. I informed them ahead of time as they said before I enroll that they do make up classes. I followed up twice about it and they said they will inform me about it and might be around May 28 or June 8. I even asked them about it on our final session and follwed it up again and all i get is they are aware of it. It is now June 14 and I never heard back anything from them. Last email from them is 26 April. So disappointed despite the fact I paid in advance and $300 is not cheap. Not happy at all. And I don’t want to keep following up as they said they are aware of it. I feel like I am begging to be accomodated to a service that I have paid already paid, they should be the one giving me update after three follow ups I made. So clearly poor communication. I understand they are very busy. I gave up after, I would rather go next time to small puppy class place where I know my puppy is not taken for granted. It was nice having a puppy class training from you guys and 1 start rating is because we didn’t have a good experience, so not coming back.
my dog was shaking when he got home. i think some groomer was washing him too rough and he was all red underneath his fur. i had to take my dog to the dog counseller because i think he developed ptsd... never again
incredibly disgusting place. dog out bit there and the infection spread, not only did they not take accountability but they also kicked the dog out of the daycare too. absolutely disgusting place NEVER take your dogs here
Oreo has been going to daycare at Pets in the City Wairau Park for a few months now, and she has the time of her life there. The staff are fantastic and I know they take great care of her while she's In their care. The overnight hotel option is also fantastic for me as a shift worker, and means that my dog is safe and taken care of while I'm away on overnight shifts. Highly recommend anyone looking for doggy daycare and hotel services.
Lovely staff and very welcoming environment! We weren’t sure how our boy Apollo would do on his first day as he’s never attended daycare before, but pets in the city have been amazing with getting him settled and helping him build his confidence. Very easy process with getting registered and always highlight of the day seeing the photos they post to see how he’s doing🤗
Had a day care stay during the week. Staff were great to talk to. Drop off and pickup was efficient. Have a small confident dog but young. He was fine in with other dogs. Place is kept clean and staff genuinely love dogs. They do kennel dogs overnight and rates are reasonable.
I often visit Pets In The City to leave my dog, Queenie, in their care, and I’m consistently impressed by their professionalism. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, always ready to answer my questions with genuine care. Their friendliness creates a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear they truly love animals. The team are always cheerful and positive when we arrive. Both daycare and overnight stays are enjoyed by my dog. She is always tired and ready for a restful sleep after playing with her doggy friends all day. I love the social skills it's teaching her as well as the exercise she gets.
I was very scared to leave my lil Biscuit at daycare for the first time, but the staff took their time and informed me how everything works, showed me around, and kept me informed about Biscuits progress. And from the lovely pics they post, I could definitely see how happy Biscuit was! Thank you for the Amazing experience, warmth and comfort!

Louis our miniature schnauzer had a great stay for a week. He was well looked after and we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about him. The daily photos on Facebook were great and we could see that he looked happy each day playing with his new friends. The staff were kind and genuinely cared for him. This is his 4th stay and we will definitely be back!

GoodWalk was the best dog walking service for my little pooch ! Aless was very helpful - basically doubled as a second mum to Monty. She always provided feedback on his outings and assisted where possible with any additional training that she felt he could work on and made recommendations where necessary which i feel is what every dog mum wants and needs! A++ you can trust that your pooch is in trusted and capable hands ☺️🙌🏼
Love Aless! She is so amazing with my slightly hyper and anxious dog. She is great with communication if anything on either of our ends need to change. Archie love his walks, and I love the photos she posts of him.
Aless has provided amazing care to my Freddie. He is prone to grass seeds in his paws which has resulted in two previous surgeries before he moved to Goodwalks. Aless is very careful to keep him off long grass in the grass seed season and we have had no further problems. Freddie loves his pack walks and I know he is in safe and expert hands!
Truly the best dog walker in Auckland! I feel so lucky to have found Aless and my little terrier Otis absolutely adores her. He enjoys his regular weekly walks and always comes back happy & tired. Love the updates on social media so I can see how my dog is enjoying his day! Aless makes logistics so easy too. Highly highly recommend, there’s a reason she has 5 stars!
Aless from GoodWalk provided an excellent service for our dog Luna. Great communication and she always turned up when arranged. Luna got very, very excited whenever Aless turned up to take her for a walk and was tired and happy when she got back. We didn't have any problems or concerns at all and would recommend if you are looking for a reliable dog walking service with someone who obviously loves dogs.
Not dog owners but proud cats ones, we were looking for someone to look after our monsters while away for a long weekend. Alessandra was absolutely wonderful and even took the time to spend a few hours with them every single day, and sent us plenty of photos and videos. She is a true animal lover and I wouldn't recommend her enough for looking after your four legged babies - for a walk or a staycation while you are away, you can trust her 100%!
Aless at Goodwalk took our dog walking 5 days a week during several months in 2023 when we were both working and not at home all day. Our dog enjoyed going with Aless and spending time with the small pack. Aless gave us timely and valuable feedback; this was appreciated following a not-so-good daycare experience. Alassandra has been walking and spending time with my pup since she was 10 weeks old, coming over and doing puppy visits through to transitioning her to pack walks with her little doggo friends. Club K9 is a fantastic place to take your pups whether you need daycare boarding or off leash adventures Club K9 is where the fun is at for your best friend. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will treat your pup like family, Raven and Reign just have the best time I highly recommend it!
My fur babies Max & Hunter love school and the staff! Hunter has separation anxiety and I was worried about him starting but Tony and her team welcomed my boys with open arms and made them feel at home. When we’re driving around new Lynn around the mall my boys can pick up the scent of their school and start crying 😂 and especially when driving into school they’re already trying to escape the car 😂 So grateful for Tony and her team ♥️ they’ve helped my family a lot, especially when I’ve needed to drop them off last minute. Keep up the good work!! New Review 2024 🥰 We’ve had to place our boys into full time daycare for a year since Nov 2023 due to Renting. As mentioned on my first review, hunter had such bad separation anxiety and didn’t get along well with new people and we were so worried about him.. but 4 months on Hunter has changed so much! He loves the staff and gets along so well with other dogs. He’s much calmer now and is just the happiest boy when he pick him up. We can definitely see and fell the love Tony and her team put into taking care of our boy 🩵 Our other baby Max, we weren’t so worried about because he loves loves people and attention 😅 We were notified Max was struggling and getting overwhelmed and i guess it’s from being away from us for a long period of time (max was a stray dog when we got him and took sometime to open up to us). However, Tony and her team found a way to help max and one of their staff members Ally has helped a lot by taking max some nights to help with his anxiety. We are so grateful for Tony and her team ❤️❤️
Trustworthy place to bring your pup, I have been going here for more than 6 months now. Toni (owner and canine trainer) has a real gentle approach and great skill in introducing dogs who need a little more attention in easing into environment and meeting other dogs. Highly recommend :)
The three stars are for the staff and off leash walker. They were always so friendly and helpful and I could tell they cared about the dogs they were looking after. The premises are a little concerning, from what you can see because you can't actually see where the dogs spend their time. You're greeted with a rancid smell of urine and a very run down holding pen/play area for pick ups and new dogs. My dog only came here about 6 times before I stopped taking him. If he didn't go on an off leash walk I would have to take him for a wash straight after because he absolutely stunk. When he went on his off leash walks we were told he'd be dropped off between 12.30-1.30, the first time he was dropped off at 3.30 without his leash and the second time I had to call to find out where he was and they had brought him back to the daycare so wasn't dropped off until after 4pm. It's not a terrible place I just think management needs to step up their game a bit and sort out the premises and communication between staff and customers.
Friendly experienced staff who are all dog trainers! Have been very accomodating to our large anxious spca special. Daycare, training, boarding, adventure walks/field trips, birthday parties, doggy tickets shop - they will even do the vet visit for you and pickup drop off.
I do not recommend this Dog Day Care. I should have gone with my gut reaction - on arrival for the day trail - the place were very noisy and artificial turf smell was unpleasantly strong. When I returned to collect my girl she was subdued and not her usual bouncy self. We did not return.

Would give a negative score if I could. After our dog went to Club K9 and a home stay for the weekend he came back traumatized. When we collected him he absolutely reaked and we had to throw away everything he had with him the smell was so bad. He would not stop licking his paws with anxiety for days and his voice was almost gone. We couldn't help but wonder if he had been left to bark for hours. His bark has never really been the same. I complained directly but never even got a response . We couldn't have been more upset and guilty. Never take your dog here!
My fur baby loves this place! I can tell that every Monday she seems very looking forward to be there! It’s a great place for my baby to get socialised and make friends and be taken care of while I work from office. The price is great too!
Under the supposed 'care' of Club k9, my dog was mauled by another dog. He is now in rehab for 6 weeks with a fractured femur, wounds all over his body and he will lose his left eye. The owners have decided not to offer any recompense. I am paying between 5-10, 000 dollars for his recovery. I took a leap of faith that he would be well cared for at their home. Unfortunately, I shouldn't have done this. I should have had pet insurance but surely their business would? One would think so anyway. Basically, be careful if you decide to send your beloved dog here. They had a duty of care regardless of location. I still paid them to keep my dog safe. The fact that a financial transaction under the name of Club k9 was made means that they cannot escape the duty of care clause. I received an expert's opinion about Bazil's condition via Sylvia Parks Specialist Vet so the statement saying that I didn't is false.
