Andy and his wife I found super friendly and warm. Andy the rat was very sweet, some communication things were a bit stressful as I didn’t know that Andy can sometimes sneak under the sink and I didn’t know how to get him out. Being made aware in advance about that would have been really helpful. Ned the rabbit is really easy to look after. Keeps a low profile and Andy ordered a load of straw which was so dry he didn’t want it so a better quality straw was duly organised. I was told I left the flat really untidy and admittedly I overlooked a couple of details but some of the things that were pointed
Taking care of Jazz and Ziggy has been a wonderful experience. Their unique and delightful characters made understanding any needs outside their routines easy. Jazz has been a bit introverted initially, but once she warmed up, she's been very affectionate, explicit and elegant in demanding extra cuddles. Ziggy is a curious goofball, always up for playing, talking and enjoying outdoor time in his garden house. Oh, and very appreciative of cuddles as well;-) Connecting with Catherine and Norman has been a walk in the park, and there was sympathy from the get-go. I experienced them as easy-going, enjoyable, warmhearted and generous house owners. The communication has been transparent and uncomplicated before, during and after the sit. They live in a quiet neck of the woods, even though the suburb is close to the Airport. You'll find shops with everything you need and plenty of options to enjoy nature. I already miss Ziggy and Jazz and would not hesitate to care for them on another occasion.
This was a great sit! Katie has a great apartment just a couple of minutes from the 7 train, and Tink is the sweetest, easiest dog! Katie was kind enough to show me everything and introduce me to Tink before she left, and she responded quickly to questions we had about the apartment. Would definitely recommend!
Really enjoyed getting to know Patrice as we met at her favorite restaurant in advance. Sassy pouted for a few days after her mom left but I kept petting her, talking to her and trying to get her outside and to eat. On the eve of day two the little sweet Diva gave me a tail wag and accepted me. Once she accepts you, you will get kisses, tail wags, spins and some heavy snoring as she cuddles up next to you on the couch. We walked around her area where everyone seems to know her. While she slept I went to see some of the historic churches and viewing spots in the area but was never gone for more than 3 hours. Patrice is on a famous square with great restaurants, tour groups can be overheard standing at the fountain describing the area and winded tourists stop to grab their breath as they head up to the castle. I always took my camera with me to catch interesting views and ever changing colors. I felt I was a resident of Lisbon vs a tourist during this time.
Laurine and Maarten are very friendly and a have nice and cosy home. I loved to take care of Ella their cat and the fish.
I already miss Pixel! I had the most wonderful time in Catharina and Kemal’s home. I mostly coordinated with Kemal, and he was super communicative, helpful and kind. I felt like I could really make myself at home. The place itself is so beautiful and in a fun Neighbourhood. Pixel is such a sweetheart. She loves to show me all the places where snacks might be on the streets… she’s always down for a treat. I loved her cuddles and truly would love to come back some day. Thank you Kemal and Cat! Xx
