Alfred
Alfred and Jack are absolutely fantastic--communicative and so kind. I really appreciated the written information that included schedules, need-to-knows, and area info. Not only is their home fantastically cozy and quiet with sunny mornings filling the main area through the giant sliding glass doors facing east, but with their furry roommates Otis and Sophie, it's perfect.

While Sophie likes her space and independence, her corgi-hops are not to be missed and will ensure a fit of giggles every time. Otis is the sweetest, calmest hound I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Both dogs required attention in their own way--Sophie needing to go out every 3.5 hours during the day, and Otis needing walked 3x per day. This was perfect for me, as I was looking for a change of scenery that would allow me to dive into working on a project. Taking care of the dogs forced me to take breaks, get some fresh air, stretch my legs, and get some dog scratches in. A win for everyone!

And don't worry too much about forgetting cocktail hour or dinner--you will be reminded by the two sets of soulful eyes that stare you down! :)

Maria and Al
Thanks Maria for inviting us into your home. Kika is a playful character, loves her walks, plenty of nice paths around local park. Kika will chill with you all day. Jazz was quite solitary but as soon as food available he will appear. Good communication with Maria and they left instructions in case any anything was needed. Local pub and parks in walking distance from house, good amenities

Looking after Murphy and Milo was an absolute delight! Thank you Hayley and Tom for letting us take care of your beautiful home and for being so welcoming. We had a great couple of days exploring Watsons Bay and would love to sit for the gang again anytime.

Steve and Karen are lovely hosts and gave us a wonderful welcome meal on our first night.
Navi cat and Teddy dog are so well behaved and easy to care for. Teddy loves you so much he will lick you to death if you let him 😁. He is so obedient, he will stop with a firm 'no'. When we walk him, Navi loves to come along too...so sweet.
The gated complex has a swimming pool and jacuzzi and is full of friendly neighbours who offer help if you need it and the quaint towns of Ajijic and Chapala are just a few miles away.
The short Malecón of San Antonio is a 10 minute walk, where Teddy loves to meet his Doggy friends.
There are other lovely towns to visit too, including Guadalajara which is a 1 hour bus ride away.
The lovely house has everything you need with a 'mirador' roof top view of the Lake and surrounding área. Shops and supermarkets are just 10 minute walks away.
All in all this is an ideal sit, wonderful hosts, beautiful home and town. We would highly recommend.

I got to spend 4 days with Levi. I arrived on a Saturday morning and met Jeff and Eileen. They showed me around the house and gave me the rundown on where everything is and Levi's routine. Eileen took me out to show me where to walk Levi and how to handle him when a motor scooter drives by. For some reason, he likes to bark at them. Over time I found this to be a charming quirk and would watch him as he walked around the park always looking for where the next motor scooter might come from.

There was a heat wave while I was there. With temps in the upper 90s we mostly went for short walks. Lincoln park is just a couple of blocks away so we went there a lot. We did make it out to the Congressional Cemetery first thing Sunday morning before it got too hot. I feel nervous letting a dog that I am unfamiliar with off leash but the cemetery is completely fenced in and Jeff said he is good about being off leash so I disconnected the leash from his collar. Levi would walk ahead but stay close enough and would return to me every time I called him. He had no problem with the other dogs there.

If you work remote, there is a nice desk to work at in the loft. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. I was able to connect my laptop to their monitors. Levi would wait till you invite him up and then he would find a place on the floor and lay while I did my work.

Levy was easy to take care of. Breakfast in the morning, dinner when I was done working and a couple smaller feedings to keep his stomach settled. Jeff was always just a text away and would respond right away when I had questions. Overall, this was a great sit.
