Cat Sitters in Polhemustown, NJ

Donna, is an experienced house sitter. She was easy to get on with and self sufficient. We would definitely welcome her again.

Unfortunately, my trip cancelled 10 days out but, since Wendy had already made arrangements to travel here for a business meeting, I invited her to stay her as my guest. She was happy to accept but then her meeting cancelled at the last minute. She was always courteous, professional, and easy to communicate with. I would love to have her sit for my cat at some time in the future!

Ted & Barb once again were excellent sitters for us. They went over and above the call of duty and everything went very smoothly.

Katherine did a great job! She arrived the prior night on time to ensure everything was ready and to hear any new information she needed to be aware of. She is very attentive, and the pets loved her. She sent me updates, to include photos of the pets. She also cleaned the bed sheets and left the house clean. Thanks Katherine!

Mary Ellen has been to my home multiple times and every time I have been very pleased when I return home. My cats are well taken care of and my home is in order. Don’t hesitate to pick her for your next sit.

Tracy was a great! She was communicative ahead of time, during the stay, and left the house and pets well taken care of.

Sam and Rachel were wonderful. They communicated well, were warm and helpful, and loved our cat and dog. They provided updates on the animals, the mail, and any odd things that happened (dehumidifier not working, our car getting a ticket) and helped us work through the issues from a distance. They took care of one episode where our dog had diarrhea, which needed clean up and a trip to the vet. They kept the house clean. They were able to adapt when I needed to come home a day later due to a death in the family. I would trust them completely. I should also mention that this is the first time we have had a house sitter with their own dog. It turned out to work out very well, as Plankton became good friends with both our cat and dog. I super highly recommend Sam and Rachel.

Actually Janice sat for us and I have only positive things to say. This was a rather long sit for her and a bit of a distance from her home but she took it all in stride - even the terrible weather during her sit. My beloved dog was clearly well cared for and mail, plants and house were all in perfect order upon our return. Janice communicated with us enough that we were confident all was well. The one or two questions that came up were easy to resolve from a distance and as I recall things I probably should have mentioned before leaving. We would welcome her back any time.

I would highly recommend Tracey. She is kind, caring and easy to work with. This is the second time Tracey has come to stay with Boz. Like before, she was responsible, dependable, clean, self sufficient, and Boz was a happy girl when I got home. The garden was also well taken care of. Thanks so much Tracey. You are welcome back anytime!

Abbie was phenomenal! This was certainly the most difficult and eventful sit we've ever handed off to anyone and we were lucky to have her for it. She was so communicative, adaptable, reliable, and handled all the unexpected events with understanding and good humor. Our dog Tuna is people-shy, dog-reactive and had a health scare prior to the sit, so Abbie had some extra responsibilities from the start. In addition to the daily medical updates we requested, she also sent extra photos and little snippets of their daily happenings. We could see how comfortable Tuna was getting with her! When Tuna refused to go down our usual off-leash trails for unknown personal canid reasons, Abbie pivoted and explored until she was able to find an alternate route for long walks. Leash walking around a neighborhood is never as fun as off-leash trails, but Abbie was committed to getting Tuna's daily exercise in and safely led her through the local traffic (tricky when your nosy dog likes watch oncoming cars from the middle of the road). When a large loose dog charged at them, Abbie kept Tuna calm and kept both dogs safely separated until the owner was able to wrangle their dog back inside. We came back to a clean house, happy plants, and of course, a happy Tuna. We'd recommend Abbie anywhere!

It was my first experience as house/ cat owner, and I’m so happy it went so well! Nanci took great care of the kittens and the house, she kept me informed and sent pictures regularly. I found this first experience very easy, thanks to her. She is very reliable and very easy to communicate with.

Pam was the perfect sitter, communicating really well prior to arriving, listening to my needs for Larry and ensuring that they were carried out. Keeping in touch while I was away on how he was, and sending photos. I returned to a lovely clean house and a thoughtfully cooked and delicious evening meal ! I would recommend Pam to anyone, and would happily have her return in future, 5 Stars aren’t enough !!

We had Leandra sit for us while we were away for about a month over the summer and couldn't be more happy with the experience! Leandra took great care of our cat, dog and apartment while we were gone. She was consistent in sending us photo and video updates of our pets so we always knew they were happy and comfortable. She also went the extra mile to do activities and outings she knew both pets enjoyed. Additionally, Leandra was very communicative and was sure to always ask about what certain behaviors or quirks might mean if she hadn't seen the pets display them before, so we knew they were getting exceptional care. Leandra was very respectful of our space and left it spotless upon our return. In addition to being a great sitter, Leandra is a lovely and interesting person who we'd recommend to anyone if they're looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful sitter for an extended stay in their home. 10/10!

I couldn't have asked for a better person to look after my dog, my plants and the house. Mike has excellent communication skills and gave me frequent updates and photos which made my trip that much more enjoyable, knowing everything was OK at home. He gave Smoky lots of exercise, love and attention and I think the health of my plants improved under Mike's care. He was considerate of my privacy and left the house cleaner than he found it. Mike is a caring, sincere person and I hope he will come back and care for Smoky when I travel in the future.

Adrienne is such a warm, fun, outgoing lady. She took wonderful care of Harley & Rusty, walking them at least twice a day. She definitely bonded with them. She sent pictures & kept us updated while we were gone. Adrienne seemed to enjoy her time here (taking lots of pictures). She met many of our neighbors & their dogs. It was nice she came a full day ahead of time so that we could show her around The Villages, especially getting around in our golf cart to restaurants, grocery stores, an entertainment area & swimming pool. After driving Adrienne around in the golf cart the day she arrived, my husband had her drive the golf cart the next morning before we left so she could get familiar with driving it. She did struggle with finding her way around in the golf cart after we left, even though we left maps of The Villages & told her about The Villages app with GPS. Because she was uncomfortable getting around in the golf cart, she asked a neighbor to help her & he took her to get groceries. We feel bad that she wasn't able to find her way around while she was here. We've labelled the light/fan switches in the house. Some of the switches (indicated with a red dot) control lights that are on a timers and we informed Adrienne about the meaning of the red dot. She must have accidentally manually turned off the living room light that was on a timer and didn't realize it, so it was dark in the living room. We typically leave out extra light bulbs in case one goes out. Well, we forgot this time to leave them out & of course, a bulb in the guest bedroom went out while we were gone. But Adrienne was self sufficient & used the lantern I left. Upon our return, she indicated she didn't contact us to find out where extra bulbs were because the lantern worked fine; so glad she found a solution! The only downside of this sit was the cleanliness of our home upon our return. Our dogs primarily stay in the enclosed lanai & they go outside through the lanai door. When they come in from outside, dried grass comes in on their paws (especially when it's damp outside) so we're totally understanding about grass in the lanai. However, there was a lot of dried grass in the house, especially the kitchen. When I mentioned it to Adrienne, she said it must have come in on her shoes because the dogs had not been in the house. Also, something had run over in the microwave & hadn't been cleaned up so I had to clean the microwave before I could use it the night of our return. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. Adrienne did wash the guest bedroom sheets before we came home, but she stayed the night of our return & slept in the bed again (she said she only sleeps on the very edge of the bed so the other side was clean for the next people using the guest bedroom). We really liked Adrienne & she was excellent with our dogs, which is the most important thing! We would ask her to sit for us again with our expectations of home cleanliness.

My scheduled sitter had cancelled close to my departure date, and Diane stepped up and offered her services. So much appreciated. I was able to visit my grandchildren!!! Diane (Bogie) gave EJ lots of attention and took him for many many walks during my absence. She also froze some of the leftovers that I had prepared so that I would have food upon my return--again, much appreciated without having to go shopping immediately. Her compassion did not go unnoticed!!

Erin took great care of Daisy. I received several videos and pictures of Daisy over the stay!

As a first time Housesitters user, I didn’t really know what to expect. That being said, Charity set the bar really high! My home and my pet were taken care of just as if I’d been here myself. She sent pics and videos frequently during our trip. Daisy was having so much fun, I was worried she might want to leave with Charity. They went on walks and nature hikes and played with acorns every morning. And lots of snuggles every evening. Charity organized our mail and packages. cleaned the house, washed the towels and bedding - basically left our home in the same condition we left it. I would highly recommend Charity for a sit and plan on having her stay at our home again in the near future.

Agnes was very warm and friendly and took great care of Kobe, even taking him on hikes. She was very responsive and took good care of my house while I was away. I would definitely recommend her!

Juliet was absolutely great! Somehow I entered the dates for our sot wrong and she was so helpful with working it out so we could have coverage even though it was TOTALLY my mistake. We have a couple animals with medical conditions that need daily medication and monitoring and she took great care of them. She took our big dog on a couple hikes while we were gone and I honestly think he may have been a bit disappointed to see us! She’s a great communicator and kept us well updated. Thanks Juliet!!
