I really enjoyed my time at Fred & Charlotte's. I looked after Pretzl for the weekend - she is a beautiful girl who's a little bit cheeky! Once she's had a good run around, I found she walked well on the lead and she's great with all but the odd small dog. I would look after her again.
Pam and Ron they were the most wonderful hosts! They invited us to arrive the night before to meet them before their trip. They were so welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know also provided a very complete guide about the house and the dogs. They made us feel home right away! The house is beautiful, very cosy, clean and comfortable. This is a perfect place if you, like us, enjoy silence, breathtaking landscape and dark skies. Charlie and Daisy - The best part of the sit, the sweetest pets ever! Charlie is the most adorable independent dog, who is always ready to play fetch. Daisy loves to be next to you (will follow you around :)), a good snuggle, belly rubs! - we had a wonderful time with these 2 and loved it every single part of it! Pam and Ron much gratitude for this truly unforgettable opportunity!
Excellent house sit. Celia gave us more than enough information and guidance. The 3 dogs were adorable. So content to cuddle up together next to the Aga after their walks. Fresh eggs from the chickens were a bonus. The area is fantastic. Lots of walks right from the door. Beautiful countryside. Thank you for sharing your home and pets with us. Lovely sit in Ross-on-Wye. Susan's house is clean and comfortable and I was welcomed not only with a light lunch and snacks, but Susan and her husband also kindly picked me up at Gloucester train-station when British public transport failed to take me all the way! The house is at the outskirts of the village and there is great walking just a few minutes from the door, both across fields and in and up woods! Ted is impeccably behaved, friendly and with great recall and was mostly off the lead. Whilst happy to greet other people and dogs, he's not difficult to handle and often walks to a heel. Whilst he loved to explore the woods on his own, he never strayed too far and always returned when called Ross is a cute market town with some great boutique-y shops, including a great vintage furniture/decor store. Despite the wet grounds I also enjoyed a long run along the riverbanks - lovely get-away.
My son and I spent 7 nights with Stormy and really enjoyed our visit. Stormy is a very calm dog, which makes her super easy to take care of. Matt and Marie’s home is comfortable and it worked well for working from “home”, with strong wifi and a nice work station. The area is safe and there is nice walking trails a few blocks away. The location is great, as it was a quick drive to downtown and plenty of restaurants and shopping. A bus does go by the house several times per day, but we did not attempt to use it. Marie was a great communicator and left detailed instructions on how to care for Stormy and their home. I highly recommend this housesit.
