There are not enough nice things to say about this petsit!

To start: Kirsten and Jose are kind, conscientious animal lovers. This is obvious in every interaction and in their wonderful home. They did everything possible to ensure that this was a very positive experience - for me and 'the girls' - Wall-e and Bug. They were a delight to deal with throughout; I cannot recommend this sit highly enough.

These characterful Burmese cats had been through a lot before I arrived, with the recent loss of beautiful Muzzem - their feline sibling. I felt lucky to be able to provide company and kindness in this difficult time, and my efforts were repaid ten-fold. From the moment I started chatting with Kirsten, I knew this would be a special petsit. Kirsten wrote a fantastic Welcome Guide, and I was lucky enough to be able to meet her and Jose before the sit, during which they were incredibly generous with their time and kindness.

When the sit began, Wall-e took a little moment to warm to me, and it was a few days before we built trust, which isn't surprising - she has magnificent owners to whom she is very loyal! I could tell she was anxious, understandably, but she did settle. Bug, on the other hand, jumped at the opportunity to be 'alpha cat' and claimed me - noisily - as 'hers' very early on. She is an amazing little character who loves - more than any cat I have ever met - to have her tummy tickled. Kirsten very kindly showed me her favourite way to be held, and this worked a treat. I miss these cats a lot! Such great company.

Oh, and there's also the wildlife for whom Jose is responsible. During my time here I fed naughty squirrels, hungry fish, and the precocious pigeons. This all added to the fun, and I enjoyed the daily feeding round.

Kirsten's home is one-of-a-kind. Exquisitely furnished and in a fantastic location, right by the water. The neighbors are very welcoming and friendly, and the apartment has everything you need and more! It is very easy to feel both at home, and like you are in a luxury hotel, all at the same time. This is such a wonderful place, you can tell it's filled with love.

To close, I'd like to send sincere thanks to Kirsten and Jose - thank you for trusting me with their home and pet family. I would love to come back, if Wall-e and Bug ever need some company! 🥰
