Cat Sitters in Poolesville, MD

We have been fortunate to have a number of good pet/house sitters for our two rescue cats over the years but Elizabeth is the top of the group! We left for a 16 day trip to South Africa in mid April & felt totally confident that Beth, whom we had used in 2020, would take great care of our home & cats. Beth exceeded our every expectation even though the bar was set quite high! She is totally capable & rose to the occasion when there was an issue with our well water ( needing salt) & carried out the purchase & treating the system with care & precision. Problem solved! She not only takes care of the basic needs of your pets but takes special interest to engage them in play! Our two were nonplussed at our absence & loved having her full attention. All our requests were filled to the letter & I would recommend Elizabeth highly for any pet/house sitting job. She us a delight to work with & even sent photos of our cats for us to enjoy on our trip. Our home was cleaner than we left it & the cats very well taken care of- we are so appreciative & hope she is available for your trip! You will rest easy & your pets will be happy & content.

Ira did a phenomenal job taking care of the cats and chickens. He went above and beyond with caring for the chickens. He arrived early so we could meet and I could show him the chicken care. He was very responsive while I was away and I look forward to inviting Ira back for another housesit if he has any future plans to return to the Smoky Mountains.

Devin stayed with Roma over the July 4th holiday and I was glad to have him there in case the fireworks got too loud for her. His communication was fine. He sent some lovely photos of Roma which made me smile. I think he and Roma did fine together. Thanks Devin!

Shwan was a great pet sitter for our dog Leia. He always kept us informed, took very good care of our young dog even when she was feeling a bit sick - always in consultation with us. He provided her with toys and took good care of her. Our plants looked great when we arrived. Even when our air conditioning broke down (in warm Florida), he coordinated the workmen in the house. We would definitely recommend Shawn and Tara as a dog sitter - Thank you so much!!!

Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!

Linda was absolutely amazing at caring for Kea and I would have her do so again in a heartbeat. Kea went into her first heat before Linda arrived and Kea was in heat the entire time Linda was here. That meant that Linda needed to take out Kea more than usual, change the mini pads and diapers that we used on Kea to keep things, and Kea, clean, and ensure that Kea did not encounter any male dogs on walks, etc. Linda also was very attentive to Kea in addition to this - snuggling with her and keeping her comfortable. Linda came a day early to help everyone settle in (and it helped us too so we could pack!) and stayed a day later since our unexpected flight change got us in in the evening vs afternoon. The house was neat and tidy and well maintained. If you have an opportunity for Linda to sit for you - do it!

Maude was thoughtful and responsive through our entire experience with her, and she did a wonderful job caring for our dog Cooper. We would be happy to have her sit for Cooper again! When he got sick (no fault of hers) she took him to the vet and made sure he got his medication. It was stressful knowing he was sick, but reassuring to know he was being well cared for. Maude was also very helpful when our flight was delayed. Our house was in perfect order when we arrived home and she even left us delicious homemade bread and soup. I highly recommend Maude!

This was the 2nd time Brandi housesat for us. She did an amazing job again and when I got home, I couldn't even tell that she has even stayed in our guest room because she is so neat! She kept me posted about all of our pets and sent photos. I would definitely trust Brandi to take care of our pets and home again!

Jeff and Gisella were a delight to have. They clearly took great care of our 3 pups and spoiled them with many treats! They arrived on time and also took excellent care of our home. It was so nice to come home to 3 happy dogs and a clean home after a long red eye flight. Thank you both for loving our dogs! Especially our wild and crazy new addition who can be a lot to handle! Would highly recommend to other pet parents!!!

Beth and James were lovely sitters and we came home to a very relaxed and happy cat who had clearly been well looked after and entertained ! This was a short three night sit and I was a little concerned about finding someone; Beth responded very quickly and I couldn’t be more pleased. She has kept in regular contact throughout and provided me with photos and updates as to Tiggy’s progress whilst we were away ! Perfect ! Thank you so much !

We cannot say enough good things about Rieman and Karin. What incredible guests they were -- so conscientious about our home, tidy beyond any expectation, and so thoughtful about every little thing. Whether it was asking for permission to have family members over (of course!), taking our youngest dog on seemingly never-ending hikes, ensuring to give our 13-year-old pup medicine twice a day, or sending us daily pictures of the house and dogs, Rieman and Karin absolutely KNOCKED IT out of the park. The only drawback to having Rieman and Karin here for 2 weeks while we traveled is that our dogs now seem to be in a depressive funk, since their most favorite people left. If you're considering Rieman and Karin for a sit, you should have absolute confidence in them. Please send me a note directly if I can provide any further praise (which they fully merit).
