Sherry was an amazing host and has the most lovely kitties and home. Bella Zoey and Bailey brat are the sweetest cats, always fun when Bailey pops out to join me for my morning journaling and/or late night working. Sherry's home is in a location that is super accessible to a cute coffee shops, bars, hikes, the bart station and more. I could not recommend Sherry, her lovely kitties and gorgeous home more.
Katy was very welcoming to us, and communication was excellent. Olive is the sweetest little cat, and very easy to look after. If you like walking and hiking, you will love Hathersage, a walkers paradise. A few very nice cafes and pubs , there is also a good bus service. We would love to come back.
I had a lovely sit in Nick and Trisha's home with dogs Kyoshi and Cornelius! We had a local meet and greet with the pups prior to the visit which was a great way to be sure we'd be a good fit for the stay. They are both very sweet pups and we all had a wonderful time playing, cuddling, and exploring together. Some additional communication prior to the visit regarding the dogs' needs would have been helpful, as the elder pup required specialized attention and care. As a seasoned pet and house sitter this wasn't a problem for me, however I would have appreciated a more clear picture in advance to be more prepared. Their home is situated in a great neighborhood of NE Portland close to transit, wonderful parks, restaurants, etc. Nick and Trisha were also very accommodating regarding the timeline of my stay and even offered their home to me for an extra night to better coordinate with my schedule. I would definitely recommend staying in Nick and Trisha's home if you enjoy spending quality time with snuggly, sweet, retired racing Greyhounds, and are comfortable attending to their needs!
Anita and her family were such a joy to work with. She responded promptly to all correspondence. The kitties take a couple days to get used to you, but then were fun, feisty and sweet. Ricky became my constant companion. The area is beautiful with lots of hiking opportunities. The city was just a few minute drive from the home, so we could enjoy the feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere, without having to plan a day trip to get groceries. We look forward to sitting here again!
This was a wonderful sit because Akira is simply the best dog in the world! She's so beautiful, so calm and peaceful, so cuddly, completely undemanding and perfectly behaved at all times - around the house and on walks. Although she's getting on a bit, she's quite playful, and is friendly with other dogs. I've done many dog-sits and I really can't imagine a better dog. Out on walks she attracts more admiration and attention than any other dog I've known! As for Brian, he's certainly very close to being the perfect cat. He's very friendly, and loves a cuddle and is quite playful. The amazing pets are enough to make this is a highly recommended sit, and the rest is mere detail, but Becci and Nick are a lovely, friendly couple, there home is large and comfortable and has everything you could want, with shops just a short walk away.
Could not recommend house sitting for Rebecca + family enough. They were all so incredibly kind and welcoming, and even when away on holiday always contactable. The home is wonderful and in such a lovely area with plenty of walks and trails close by!Charlie and Sasha were so well behaved the whole time and amazing when taken out on walks too - truly an honour being able to look after them 🥰
