Sally and Rick were incredible. Generally when we go away and come back our cats are cranky with us when we return, one of them holds grudges, big time. With Sally and Rick caring for them they were BOTH calm and affectionate when we got home after 5 weeks! Then there is the issue of their exquisite care of our home. Everything, including the yard, was spic and span spotless when we got home. We felt so confident being away knowing they would take such excellent care of our home. It's hard to imagine a better choice than these two. If you can get them when you need a housesitter you will be incredibly fortunate! Thanks Sally and Rick!!
Wonderful days spent with Luna and Zulu! It was a pleasure taking care of them. Luna is the most loving and sweet dog, and she absolutely adores going for walks—she even enjoys being off-leash at the park, where she has the best time. She loved staying close to me and getting plenty of cuddles. Zulu is super independent but also appreciated the company. Pippa was incredibly kind, explained everything clearly, and communication was perfect. The house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. They also have a lovely garden with beautiful flowers that I was able to enjoy thanks to the nice weather. Thank you so much for everything! I hope to see you all again.
We had a great time looking after Bert, Ruby, and Lilli and we're sad to say goodbye to them. They are super chill and well behaved dogs and great to take for walks in the forest. Sue's home is lovely and she communicated well throughout our stay. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Sue!
We had such a good time caring for Murray and Gabi- they are hilarious and affectionate. Murray was a great hiking companion and we enjoyed having him on all our adventures. Rachel was a gracious host and her place is beautiful. She gave us some fantastic recommendations for nearby restaurants and beautiful scenic walks. Whole Foods is within a short 5 min walk along with many eateries. We'd definitely return!

Angelika is an excellent communicator and has a lovely place outside Santa Fe in a very quiet neighborhood. Trails for walking dogs are right out her front driveway! Her home has excellent winter sun exposure and the stars are lovely at night. Her home is classic southwest adobe and is a wonderful place to stay. Her dogs are SUPER loving and friendly and very well behaved. I wanted to adopt them! Her home is clean and tidy. I didn’t get to take advantage of the lovely patio / deck area because of the blizzard that happened while I was there at Thanksgiving but it’s a lovely place!
Amy and Rich made us feel truly welcomed from the first moment we set foot on the property. Amy cooked a gourmet meal our first night. We actually spent two nights with them prior to their flight day. They were extremely gracious. She bought us groceries, which was truly unnecessary. She even made homemade granola! Amy also set up wine tastings and gave restaurant suggestions. We loved all of her ideas. The Cloverdale Wine Walk was a ton of fun. Nella was an absolute doll of a pooch! She loves cuddles and being with people. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning hikes in the beautiful wine county hills near their home. She is very easy to care for. Ricky and Amy’s home is located in the beautiful Anderson Valley with great access to Healdsburg and the surrounding area. Taking care of Nella and being in such a beautiful setting was truly wonderful. Amy and Rich are the nicest people and are so warm and welcoming. We will miss sweet Nella!

We were so relieved to discover Claudia at Happy Paws to take care of our special needs rescue mutt, who is a sweetheart but is insecure and reactive. After thoroughly learning about his behavior and needs, she accepted him for exclusive overnight care. When we left him for his first trial night, we were skeptical he would be able to adjust, but Claudia is a true dog person because he settled right in with her in her comfortable doggy-centric home. She sent us multiple updates during the 24-hour period, reassuring us he was doing well and asking clarifying questions to ensure his happiness and comfort. Claudia is a gem and we highly recommend her for doggy care needs!

We can't say enough good about our dog's stay with Claudia. This was his first time away from us, and he couldn't have been happier. Happy Paws is a serene and beautiful vacation spa where my Labradoodle (Lola) gets personalized attention, long walks in the country, daily pictures, home made chicken broth mixed with her kibble and sleep induced snuggling in the owners bed. Lola even comes back smelling clean! Happy Paws is a happy place for your dog.
Our dog - a senior Shih Tzu with heart disease, mammary cancer, thyroid cancer, Cushings disease and alopecia - looked like something that Animal Control had repeatedly tried and failed to catch. A real mess. But, the folks at The Dog and I took her on and, when she emerged, looked absolutely gorgeous, naked, but gorgeous. And her little tail was wagging and she was as happy as can be. Her groom was a big job. But they did a great job! Thanks so much! Highly recommended.

Took my two dogs here today! I wasn’t sure what to expect. I gave them a call while sitting in the parking lot during a vet appt. Figured it was a convenient location. The owner called me promptly and scheduled an appt. The dogs were happy and the groom looks great! I appreciate the price and quality of service. I’ll definitely be back.
We have several pets & our vets are at Chimacum Valley Vet. On a particularly busy Friday, we came for an appt - however, there were no parking spaces. We waited at the entrance for ~10-15 minutes with our hazard signal on. When a vehicle was ready to pull out - we backed into a parking spot at ‘The Dog & I grooming’ for no longer than 1-2 minutes. Someone came out & asked us in a very annoyed tone if she could help us. Seriously; settle down!! We recognize that there must be parking issues here - but 1-2 minutes while letting someone exit a parking spot? Way to turn off a potential customer - egads!
I get the feeling this groomer could care less if she has your business or not. First time I had an appointment, I brought a list of my "wishes and desires" for my dog's first groom. She was quite annoyed that I had a list to begin with and rolled her eyes at me. I didn't think I was being too demanding, but apparently she thought so. She seemed very bothered, so I decided not to leave my dog with her that day. I wanted to give her a second chance, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day, and I really wanted to support local businesses, but it took her 3 days to even return my call, and by then I had already booked with PetCo (my dog really need a groom, and by that time I had no idea if she was even going to return my call). When she finally did call back, then she was bothered that I decided to go with PetCo. I told her I would definitely call her for the next appointment. So, I did that today. What am I told by Miss Cranky Dog Groomer? Your dog is too big for me to handle. What? My dog is 40 lbs. I will NEVER call her again or give her my business.
Great diy dog bath facility, all shampoo and towels included. The only reason for 4 stars is I wasn't told about free dog wash after ?? Many paid for visits, have been throwing receipt away.
These ladies did a great job taking care of my dog while I was out of the country for over a month. They even gave her a bath to come home! Highly recommended!!
Previous review: :Friendly neighborhood groomer" Sorry to say that I have to change this review to "unfriendly groomer". On my last several visits the owner was very gruff. I don't know if she has an unhappy life, but she was not pleasant. On another occasion, her husband yelled at me for parking in the parking lot and taking my dogs for a walk on a nearby trail. I understand them not wanting hikers to use up their parking lot, but I was taking my dogs for a pee before we went into their establishment. Politeness to people with dogs would be a good policy for a dog grooming service, I'd think. Not going back.
They were so kind and gentle with my fur baby who has abandonment issues! The atmosphere is very calm which helped!

As a Border Collie mix and an Australian Shepherd, they have boundless energy, so finding a place where they can play all day and burn it off has been perfect. We couldn’t be happier with Big Valley!

BVPR is outstanding! Our dog loves to spend the day at day care, and the boarding care is exceptional as well. We also use the grooming services for our standard poodle, and know she is getting treated kindly along with the bath, dry, trim etc. The staff is very friendly and recognizes us every time. They are very careful with the dogs at play time, so you’ll relax while your pet is visiting.
Absolutely love Big Valley Pet Resort! The entire staff is friendly, facility is super clean and I know my pups are safe and loved when I leave them. We’ve been clients for several years (day care, grooming and kennel) and highly recommend all the services they provide.

I can not say enough Good Things about Big Valley Pet Resort.♥️♥️ Our boy “Bobby” a year old Golden Retriever loaded with sooooo much energy. He gets so excited when we tell him he is going to school!!! He gets to play with his dog family and even learn good dog manners and new words. He comes home ready for a before dinner nap. My husband and I are in our mid 70’s and really can’t run and play with him as we know he needs. Thankfully BVPR helps us with this. Bobby goes at least one day a week but often 2. He loves ALL the people who work there. WE SO APPRECIATE all the wonderful people, the advice and Great Care they have for ALL THE PETS in there care!!!! We've been struggling to find a groomer who could take care of our little dog as he has behavioral issues and we're pleasantly surprised how great this groomer is. She took care of our little guy and didn't charge us an arm and a leg. I'll definitely be bringing all of our dogs in
Our poodle has stayed there four times and we are well satisfied with the are and facilities. We have full confidence in Jane's management.
My dog is five years old and had never been boarded. She generally stays with family. She did not love being boarded, but she was safe and well taken care of. There is ample exercise time and doggie playtime is supervised. She was just getting used to it and making friends when we picked her up. We will slowly get her used to it.
Jane is wonderful, generous, kind woman who goes out of her way for her furry clients as well as their pet parents! We will be return customers.

I got to drop my friend's precious puppy (ok he's a dog) here while she was in the hospital and Jane was so nice and helpful with the care of my friend's dog that it relieved a lot of stress on my friend! When I picked the dog back up he was happy and healthy and well taken care of.

Totally Tails Pet Care Services has provided excellent, caring and reliable dog walking/pet care five days a week for the last year for our two Golden Retrievers (our dogs are now one year old and nine years old). Our family is so impressed with the level of service and professionalism provided by Totally Tails Pet Care! I highly recommend them! The daily pictures of our pets, which they email us, are just the best. It is so reassuring to know that our furry family members are well cared for while we are at work.
I hired Totally Tails to watch after my 2 dogs while I was on vacation in Hawaii. I knew I didn’t want to kennel them, so I was excited about someone coming to my home to feed, exercise, and care for my pups. Not only do they do a fantastic job of exercising the dogs they sent DAILY photos and follow-ups of their health and progress. These reports made me feel very comfortable with Totally Tails. They also rotated indoor lighting so as to give the impression that someone is always home. Superb service! Beats kenneling when your pups are in their home environment. I will contract with them again!

This was the best pet care service we have ever experienced. An excellent value. The daily 30-minute visit was packed with focused attention to our cat's specific needs: food, medication, daily litter box cleaning, brushing, play time with treats, supervised outdoor deck time (indoor cat), and loving lap petting time. We received a daily review with pictures that served as both comfort and joy to us while we were away. Absolutely reliable. Knowledgeable about animal care. Loving and attentive. Professional. Responsible. Attentive to detail. Michele made sure we provided for unanticipated problems prior to leaving so our bases were covered in any event. THE BEST. We came home to a calm, happy, well cared for cat.
As fellow pet care providers we are quite picky who we leave our pack with should we go out of town. Ramona took care of a large zoo of animals (game birds, fish, Guinea pigs, and dogs). Her updates were thorough, and we came home to a clean house and happy animals. If you need a professional you can trust, you've found one here. Part of why we never leave town is not having had anyone we felt comfortable leaving them with, but now we do!
I love Michelle! We trust her implicitly with our dog and home. She goes above and beyond by bringing in our trash cans and packages when she's at our home for a dog visit. She sends us texts and pictures of our dog so we know she's taken care of. And she insists you text her that you're back home so she's assured your pet is safe. That's excellent care! Highly recommend her!
Camano Pet Sitters hav been taking care of my two Springer Spaniels for the last 2 years and I couldn't be happier. I was stressed, four sorta feral cats and I had to take a trip. My vet said boarding was a bad idea because none of them would adjust well - in addition to being expensive. Camano Pet Sitters to the rescue! Not only did they do a professional job I think they made headway with my cats who were actually peeking out at them by the end of the week. I cannot recommend Camano Pet Sitters highly enough - they are now my go to folks when I have to travel. My neighbors, who travel regularly, were so impressed by the level of professionalism and caring my pets received they will be switching to Camano Pet Sitters.

The Bed and Biscuit is the best facility I’ve ever brought my dog to. Kelly is so thoughtful, attentive and knowledgeable about dogs. We’ve brought our Doberman here many times and knowing he’s in such good hands while he’s away from us is everything. We’re moving off the island soon and will still be making the trip back to board him when we need it because we love it that much. Thank you, Kelly!!

So clean and orderly, leaving family dog here felt very secure and confident. Drop off and pick up is a bit restrictive but it does benefit operations and certainly the dogs. Recommend this place and will certainly be using services here again.
My dog Maisie ran in without looking back, and was sad to leave when we picked her up. Kelly the owner is great though is often busy with the dogs so keep that in mind when you are contacting her. She cares for all the pups and our young dog had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be coming back when we need boarding!
I moved to Whidbey Island 6 years ago and I immediately found Bed & Biscuit! Kelly is amazing with dogs and my Bella loves to stay there. So much so, that's sometimes she is not ready to come home! Kelly creates a safe environment, so I know that Bella is in great hands. I have boarded her for a few days to as long as a month. And I love that I can leave her with no worries! Kelly has been a lifesaver and helped me create less stress when I need to travel. We love Bed & Biscuit! ❤️

My dog Polly is like my child. So I was very worried when I had to leave her. After touring Whidbey Bed and Biscuit I was so relieved because I knew she would be in good hands. Whidbey Bed and Biscuit is the only place I trust to care for Polly. It's clean with beautifully fenced yards and an immaculately kept house. Kelly treats Polly like one of the family. I would definitely recommend Whidbey Bed and Biscuit to anyone looking for excellent dog care.
Would not suggest this kennel owner. Very poor customer service. We accidentally wrote down the wrong time for the meet and greet. We showed up 25 after our meeting time (what we thought was 5 minutes early). Owner said, “you were not here on time, someone else called and I gave your reservation away. She never called to check to see if we were on the way. Horrible experience- I wouldn’t leave my dogs with her.
will NEVER bring our dog here again. not only was the lady/owner SO rude to demand my mother and another customer off the patio/porch area (when they were picking their pups up) in such a rude and disrespectful manner, our dog came out looking exhausted and weak and with a SORE spot. never bring your furry friends here. terrible service. very angry.

Amazing experience. We brought our dog for the first time to any day care here and they were amazing. They knew to slowly introduce him and even asked about a history of aggression. They met us at the hat at the end of the day it was an amazing experience. We would 100% recommend them again.

We have a malamute that can be picky about who he trusts. He loves the ladies at all my friends. We travel a couple times a year and he's slant have any anxiety over going to boarding. We started using all my friends nearly 10 years ago with a different dog who had since passed away and we have had the most amazing experience with them. I would highly recommend them.

Great place to have watch your pets. We have a mid-sized dog and she had a blast there. Very friendly people we interacted with and a fair price. Flat rate that includes everything an active pup needs. 🐶 We will definitely be taking her back there when she can't come with us.
All My Friends was our go to for years. We were sad that all of our dogs got kennel cough on their last two visits, so we are in the market for a new place. Recognize it's not uncommon that dogs pick this up at boarding places, but there was no follow up, care or concern. Such a bummer, our pups were super happy here!
Recently, I had my three dogs stay here. I can’t say enough good things about how well they were treated and how attentive they were to our dogs particular needs. When I called to check on them, they were responsive in providing me a status update and to inform me that they were doing fine. The ladies here have a passion for taking care of our fur family and I would not use anyone else. Highly recommended! Excellent with our dogs and I feel very comfortable when I go out of town and leave our dogs in their second home.
My dog loves this place, it's like he gets his own little vacation when I have to go out of town. There is something for everyone. They have multiple giant yards for the dogs to run and play in, an in ground pool for them to swim in during the summer months, plenty of toys and TVs with animal planet in front of big couches. The staff are very nice and accommodating, and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside (for me) is the long drive since it's pretty far north from Seattle, as it usually takes me 45+ min to get there. All in all, highly recommend, especially if you're going out of town for several days.
Would not reccomend this place!! We took our dog here for an overnight trial before booking a 10 day stay and thank goodness we did a trial because when we got home he ran over to his water bowl and drank the entire thing like he hadn't had water the whole time. Then we noticed that he had deep scratches on the insides of both his thighs and a cut on his nose. Not to mention he was filthy after just 1 day. None of this was mentioned to us when we picked him up and after noticing the scratches at home, my husband called them and left a message ( it was also a pain communicating with them ahead of time and they do not answer their phone or email) and they have yet to respond several days later. Very unprofessional and I will never take my baby back there and would reccomend everyone else do the same. they are clearly not monitoring the dogs like they should be and not communicating with customers the way I would expect any business to.
We love this place and so does our dog! We left her there for 4 days and she didn't want to leave when we came to get her! The folks there were super nice and made us feel good about leaving her. The property and dog house are great and the dogs get loooots of play time. They even surprised us with a CD of photos of Ruby playing when we came to get her.
