Had a lovely month at Natasha and Dom's looking after their cute menagerie. The rabbits are really affectionate (especially when you have food or treats 😉), they have a big indoor run and are very easy to take care of. I learned to distract them with trests before going into their run as they loved to escape. Mrs Trotter the tortoise is suprisingly fast but not a flight risk. Myshka and Monkey are pretty self-sufficient, not really lapcats but they'll let you know if they need something and don't mind being stroked. The house is comfortable and well-equipped. There's lots of great places to visit locally; Lacock, Bradford upon Avon were nice days out and I was able to borrow Tash and Dom's car. There's a couple of pleasant walks from the house but you do need a car to get to the shops in Corsham and Chippenham.
We had a great stay at Flora and Dan's beautiful home. Luna and Otto are gorgeous pets - Otto in particular is a well manned chap who adores to play ball over the field. The surrounding walk ways are picturesque and incredibly relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your wonderful home.
I had a great time house-sitting for Victoria and looking after adorable Una. Victoria’s home is bright, cosy and well located. Victoria welcomed me and gave me thorough instructions to care for Una and her home. Communication with Victoria before and during the sit was very smooth. Una is such a sweetheart and affectionate. She warmed up to me immediately and was a delight to look after. I miss her a lot! Overall, I would definitely recommend this sit and I would be more than happy to look after Una again. Thank you Una and Victoria
From the very beginning of our communications, Michelle was responsive, honest, and direct. She gave clear instructions on how to best care for her Golden Retriever, Lasso. We talked on the phone a couple times before the sit and developed a nice rapport. This included a FaceTime walk thru of the house and a time for me to get many questions answered. Lasso is a great dog and I thoroughly enjoyed caring for him for 10 days. We became fast friends and enjoyed our time together. We took long walks each day exploring the BLM lands nearby. Michelle advised that he could be off leash back in the trails and I was hesitant at first. But, it was such a joy to watch him running around and he always came back to me when called. laughed watching him lug around sticks bigger than him. I kept an eye out for other hikers and put him on the leash to prevent any troubles with other dogs and hikers. After the hikes, Lasso would hang out, watch the neighbors go by and snooze. Lasso is also a very affectionate dog. He will sit by you, on you, or sleep by you as much as you have energy for. Once I was done petting him, usually a firm “that’s enough” got him to back away. He is a big dog, but responsive to assertive commands. In summary, Michelle was easy to communicate with and set realistic expectations. Lasso is a fun dog to hike with, love on, and spend time with. I wholeheartedly recommend this pet sit to others and would come back myself.
Bailey are Bear were the stars of the show. Bailey is super laid back and a big softie. Bear, it’s in the name and not the size, his huge personality won us over. Priscilla keeps to herself and eventually shows face for neck scratches or some playtime with Bear. Both very easy to walk and are well settled within the home. Paradise Point is a great place for walks by the water, grabbing a nice coffee and taking in your surroundings. Renee is a beautiful soul, kind and very helpful. Thank you for having us.
We greatly enjoyed our visit! Ralph and Helen were excellent hosts! They treated us to a lovely breakfast the morning we met them. Their house is beautiful and very welcoming. We instantly fell in love with their dog, Forest. He’s such a sweetheart! We enjoyed taking him to the dog park and walking around the nature trails very close to their house. Forest is extremely friendly with people and other dogs. He loves to play tug of war and fetch balls at the dog park. We also enjoyed relaxing by their pool with Forest. We are looking forward to our next visit! We already miss Forest!
