This sit was terrific in every way. The "pups" are loving and thoroughly enjoy human contact. Cloe trots along with regal nonchalance while Apollo is out in front curious for any smell. They are great together, super peaceful, groom each other, Apollo will fetch a ball for 30 minutes no problem, and he just might appear with a ball, give a little bark, and expect you to get out the back door and spend time indulging him. Nita was the most gracious host, with a very warm welcome and clear directions. Her home was immaculate, very comfortable, and the back yard is a wonderful reading spot, along with throwing a certain ball. I would happily sit the pups again any time; a great sit.
Christine and her kitty crew are fantastic. I would happily watch the kids again. Those were the nicest, most friendly bunch of cats I've encountered. Christine is also very kind and I am glad to have met her.
ELLIE!! Oh my goodness, where to begin. Ellie knows what she wants, and when she wants it. She can’t be forced to do things, but can be coaxed to do a few (like eating the dry kibble before the wet…hahaha). She loves walks, belly rubs, being around you, and is over-the-moon when you return home. Ellie has such an emotionally intuitive communication style, she notices when down, and comforts as a reaction. After my initial conversation with Jennifer and Terry, we made plans to meet in-person for lunch, a tour, and to become acquainted with Ellie. They were thorough, personalized devices for my use, quick to respond with answers to questions, and left thoughtfully curated gifts for my stay. Truly memorable! I had the pleasure of sitting her over the holiday season, and enjoyed the company and neighborhood! Centrally located with access to the varying directions of the city, commuting was easy due the option of walking, taking the bus, or driving many places. But also kept you nestled inside with plush seating by the fireplace, or the spa-like heated toilet seats (which I’m obsessed with!) I highly recommend sitting Ellie for Jennifer and Terry! Ellie is so play, and brings a smile to your face with her wagging tail.
Camille and Maddie were both so sweet! The apartment was very comfortable and within a 10 to 20 minute walk of cafes and downtown exploring opportunities. Maddie spent most of her time snoozing but she enjoyed her early morning sniffing adventures where I'd let her lead for 30-45 minutes of meandering. She didn't have a ton of energy for going out on long distance walks and some days she wasn't up for a second evening walk, but she was very easy to care for and cute as can be. If you're looking for a place to stay close to downtown Denver, this is an easy sit I can recommend!
It was a pleasure to take care of Micky. He is so fluffy and sweet. At first he is a bit shy . But when he knows you he loves to be brushed. Sven and his family are very helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for your hospitality. The house and garden are beautiful and very comfortable. Bakery, supermarket and restaurants are just around the corner. The train station is only a 10 minute walk away. From there you can easily travel to Antwerp, Gent or Brussels. You may need a diet after your stay....the chocolates there are just sooo delicious. I can only recommend this place and will be very happy to come back.
