I highly recommend Deborah and Tom for your house sitting and - more importantly! - animal sitting. We were fortunate enough to have them look after our 1912 house, our elderly cat and our active young dog for six weeks this spring. We couldn't be happier with their care of our home and for our animals. (And we are very particular about care for our animals.) > Their stay was complicated by the fact that the week before we left, Joe, our 16-year-old cat, was unwell. He was on the mend by our day of departure, but we left knowing that if his condition returned, we might have to make decisions from abroad about his care. Deborah and Tom knew about his condition. We felt comfortable knowing that if difficult decisions had to be made, they were just the people we would want with Joe. Fortunately, in their care, Joe thrived, and we came home six weeks later to a cat you'd never have known had been sick. He's also a very shy cat, but grew comfortable within days with Deb and Tom, even allowing Deb to pick him up (the only person other than me and the vet who has been able to do so!) > Our dog Poppy is a three-year-old rescue from Mexico with a lot of energy who is also sometimes reactive to other female dogs. Deb and Tom met with us in advance so they could learn how we deal with that (positive reinforcement when she doesn't react) and all went well. Poppy is so in love with them that she literally bowled them over with her enthusiasm when she got to see them again after their house stay. You can always trust your dog's reaction to people. > We have a character house with a large garden. Deb and Tom cared for both beautifully. > They are also very easy to deal with and are excellent communicators, keeping us posted on things as needed. They are dependable, responsible people who will love and care for your pets and your home. > They're so great that we've already booked them again for the fall!

One of my absolute favorite sits! Communication was amazing, Hob and Pixie are cute, sweet, and playful, and the space is so beautiful and comfortable to stay in. Would sit here again in a heartbeat and recommend to others!

Conny
The house-sitting at Conny's house was wonderful, the cats are very fun, each one has their personality and as they get to know you they become more affectionate, they come to look for you and we love that :)

Conny is a perfect host, easy and quick communication, generous and concerned that we were well.

The house is spectacular, new, clean, tidy and in the middle of nature with impressive views. We had our own room and bathroom and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

We were very happy this month of house-sitting and with pleasure we would repeat at Conny's house, mainly for cuddle all the troupe again :))

Caroline
I loved staying in Caroline's home with Ollie and Bella! The neighborhood conveniently has lovely walking paths, shops, and a nearby train station. It was raining when I came in so Caroline and her husband were kind enough to give me a lift. The pups were very easy to care for and had fun personalities to interact with. Ollie is a total hoot and we had so much fun together. Bella was still a puppy when I was with her and she was learning so many things very quickly which was fun to watch. They also have a lovely home that is kept clean and organized. The kitchen is perfect for putting something together or you can always order from one of the many delicious restaurants in the area. Caroline provided me with a great list of places to try and all of them lived up to the hype!

There was a slight change of plans for their trip based on weather conditions and I was lucky enough to spend more time with the family and loved the bonus cultural exchange I got. They really treated me like family and made me feel welcome. 5 "thumbs up" does not do this housesit justice. It was such a great experience and anyone would be lucky to house-sit for this amazing family and their sweet pups.

Maryam
Ava and Ziba are two very different cats that are a joy to watch! Ziba is a bit shy at first, but despite his grumpy face, he loves to be picked up and cradled like a baby once he gets to know you. Ava is very smart and loves to do tricks for treats! He also loves to join you on camera for meetings :) Both kitties are very curious and playful but are careful with their claws; a sign that they were raised with TLC!

Maryam is super accomodating and is a master of communication. Ziba's paw had issues while we were watching him, and Maryam did everything she could to make it as easy as possible for us to take care of him, including making a vet appointment for us, being available for a call during the appointment, and getting additional meds delivered to us via Uber. It was really reassuring to get quick, proactive replies from her while we were treating Ziba's wound!

Thank you for the opportunity to get to know your adorable cats and to explore Little Caribbean - an area full of quaint and delicious restaurants, bakeries, and bars! We hope Ziba has made a full recovery!

Vanessa
Where do I even begin? When we first talked with Vanessa she was incredibly kind and we hit off immediately. We even got a chance to FaceTime with Charlie beforehand and the cuteness on screen and in photos does not do justice for the sweet dog that is Charlie.

Our housesitting experience was great, the house is in a great location (close to tons of cafes and shops in the heart of LA) and very lovely comfortable home. Charlie is just about the easiest and most loveable dog. We actually missed him a lot after we left.

Would highly recommend Housesitting for Charlie and Vanessa and Mike!

William
We had an absolutely wonderful time at William’s historic Tudor home. The characterful house is beautiful as is the surrounding property. The two cats and two dogs were incredibly well-behaved, affectionate and loved a cuddle or being stroked. Bonnie even fancied herself a lap-dog despite her size! All four animals were extremely good with our toddler as well. Communication with William was good and most importantly, he left very thorough written instructions. We would definitely return in future and would highly recommend to others!
